We had a tile floor that had asbestos tile mastic underneath and we already had booked the concrete floor refinisher so we were up against a very slim timeline of about a week or so... I called and was able to speak with the Owner, Anthony, who was extremely personable and said that they could fit us in right away within 2-3 days... I was then put in touch with Laura who is the GOAT and handles all of the scheduling - Laura was also super helpful, and like Anthony, they went ABOVE and BEYOND for us!!! Most other companies that I called were not only more expensive, but were also not as prompt and helpful - The guys removed all of the ceramic tile and mastic and were in and out in a matter of 2 days and it was a breath of fresh air working with them!!! I came back to update my review because SoCal helped us out again in our hour of need. 2 weeks after our excellent abatement service, the contractor informed us that our Project Manager had neglected to mark off 3 large sections of drywall that needed to be abated before the plumbers/electricians would be able to come in. I called Laura at SoCal and she rearranged their schedule and had a new crew come out the very next day so that we lost no time on our schedule. This company is great! I had to have a 3ft furnace vent pipe removed but it had asbestos so it requied an abatement company. I hit the internet and called several companies for quotes and they were all over the board with pricing up to $600 so decided to ask my FB friends for a referral. (Referrals are always the best way to do business and someone whose opinion I respect very much gave me SoCal's info). I called them they gave me a great estimate based on length of pipe and not just standard price for everyone. They scheduled the work for me the next day. Today they showed up on time, courteous and clean. When my kitchen flooded my house drying company recommended So Cal Abatement to test for lead and asebetos since my house was built in 1960. Our lead test came back negative, but under our dishwasher the original linoleum had asbestos in the glue. I can't believe all the 5 star ratings for this company. I'll lay out my experience with them and people can use it as they wish. 1. They didn't put 2 doors back on that they removed. I had to ask them to do it. Office mgr. says they don't put doors back on. Really? 2. Left one vent covered in plastic and tape. I had to remove it. Really? 3. Left staples in the ceiling in several places. I had to remove them. Office mgr. told me this is normal. Really? 4. Destroyed my wallpaper, I now have to remove it or cover it. They told me the duct tape would stick and might tear it. Fine, I agreed. But when they removed the tape, they peeled if off in a downward motion resulting in tears over 4" long. If they had peeled it upward, I could have put crown molding over the tear, but they were too lazy to do that. With their experience they should have known this. Now I have extra renovation expenses. The best part is the foreman claims I told him the wallpaper was coming down! Absolute bullshit! 5. Knocked over a box of recipes I had and shoved them back in and never said anything. It will take me 2 hrs. to refile them. No apologies, not from the crew or the office mgr. 6. When I asked if they would discount their price because of all this, the office mgr. said no.
