Really disappointed and surprised with the good reviews for this company as this was the opposite of my experience. The technician came right after a rain for an exterior leak causing water to enter our home. He parked illegally in our neighbor's parking spot. I advised him that was not our parking and he needed to move his car and he said "it's fine, I won't be here very long." He then walked right in our home with his shoes on. Walked in and out several times with dirty shoes on, hopping to miss the welcome mat the wipe his feet. He said he could put fans on the wet area but they would be loud and expensive. We own a number of rental properties and have occasionally needed contractors for different services. We recently had a water leak in the ceiling of one of our homes that caused significant damage to drywall, flooring, and the interior of the home. I did some research on finding a company that could handle this situation and I called Service Solutions (after hearing strong recommendations for them). They had a manager to my home in under60 minutes and he assessed the damage and quickly had drying equipment in place. He also put me in contact with a Project Manager that would be handling my case. The next morning the Project Manager contacted me and arranged to have two technicians begin the demolition process. I was really impressed with how their team handled the entire process. They communicated each and every step of the process to me and were always on time for each step of the process. The technicians worked very hard to get the work done as quickly as possible. I work with lots of contractors and I would put Service Solutions right up there in the very top tier. I will use them again for all future work in this category and I would recommend them to others as well. Thank you Service Solutions. No one wants to walk into their kitchen and have water pour from the lights, but that's what happened to me. After a brief freak out, I called my plumber who tore out pieces of my ceiling and quickly found a leak. While he was fixing it, I called Lonnie at Service Solutions and he said he could have his team over within an hour! His team there before my plumber packed up his tools. They assured me that they could handle the situation--then measured the wetness, put in dehumidifiers, identified what needed to be done, informed me every step along the way, and were amazing. Over the next few days, they packed up contents of damaged cabinets, removed the damaged drywall and wood, and attacked the problems. Uriel and his assistants were efficient, knowledgable, professional and respectful. Despite the noise and the craziness of the situation, I was so pleased to have them in the house helping. When they were done, Lonnie's team sent over Michelle Pishner and her assistant to help pack up my other treasures. I have to praise her myriad abilities, as a supervisor and hard worker, kind and efficient, able to assess what needed to be done, and founding a way to get it done. My goodness, that woman has a good eye and the ability to look around and figure out what needed attention. I can't offer enough compliments on the level of professionalism and courtesy possessed by every single one of the workers who came here to dig me out of this mess. Even my contacts by phone with the office staff was incredible. The whole company truly helped me make lemonade out of the lemons I was given with this unexpected event. I had the pleasure of meeting Lonnie the owner and his wife Christina at a Vegas Expo. They were super friendly and I decided to give them a chance for one of my rental properties. While I would love to give them a higher rating they were honestly a hot mess. During the whole process everyone was super friendly but they were disorganized and there was miscommunication between them all. I ended up talking to what I feel was all their managers/supervisors which made it difficult since I didn't know who my main point of contact was. I would ask questions and they would just pass me around to someone else which made it very irritating. The drywallers were messy and sloppy. They oversprayed and didn't cover well enough. The cabinet guy made cuts inside and only half vacuumed leaving the overall area dusty. The overall work could've been alot more detailed and cleaner. The worst thing about the whole experience was the few conversations with Christina. I felt as though I was dealing with an angry bratty teenager. Her professionalism could definitely use some work. I would like to take this opportunity to pass the word out about Lonnie and his team at Service Solutions. My mother lived alone in her home in Oceanside for over 25 years. When the time came for her to move closer to her family up north, we opted to rent out her home. We were unaware of small ongoing water leaks in the kitchen under the sink and bathroom toilet until she moved out. We contacted three different companies. Not only did it take a long time for them to get to the home to access the problem, but once we received the estimates, the bids were varied and vague. It seemed like we would have had to find our own contractor once the remediation was complete as well as find a company to give us a report that the work had been completed correctly. As a final resort, we contacted a local property management company, Barbara McClain Property Rentals to get their recommendation. They told me Service Solutions is the only company they use for all of their properties. I called the office and reached Lonnie (he always answers the phone!!). After explaining the situation and urgency, he came out the same day as my call. The heavy rain revealed a slow leak around my door. I was referred to Service Solutions by a window installation company. With less than 24 hrs notice they came to my house to inspect the leak and offer suggestions. Darrin was punctual, respectful and kind. He did multiple test including damp meter and thermal for free. After some discussion he offer recommendation and down played the significance. He suggested the problem can be solved by rehanging the window and patching the wall. He didn't feel his services would be necessary given the minimal damage and that the area had already dried out. He could have easily made suggestions that would have cost me lot of time and money.
