Ive been eating Zaxbys, Chick Fil A, and even Raiding Cane's where you get chicken strips that seem to be getting smaller and abput the size of sidewalk chalk (just the first thjnf I coild think of with that size). Not here. Seriously huge chicken tenders, comparable to maybe half a banana. And with the $13 chicken tender dinner plate, you get at least 5. I think I got 6, see picture. You cant even see the bed of fries they are on top of. Very tasty, though gushing with oil that squirts out, literally. Delicious, but probably not diet food. Super good when piping hot and fresh, pretty good still when air fried later. Its way more than one meal - I actually didnt finish it in two meals. Very good chicken, but a few times I got some bites where I couldnt chew, like you get with chicken nuggets sometimes. Besides that tastes like pretty high qualify white meat. I ordered food the other day and I promise you they opened at 11 my food was at my house at 11:26am the food was not hot the fries tasted old had no heat to them and the chicken was dry fried extra dark like it had been fried twice. I didn't expect this being the restaurant just had open. The only thing that was fresh n hot was the catfish nuggets and I found it weird that it was the only thing hot on the tray. The trout was bland it didn't even taste like fish.. there was like a small fish essence but other than that the fried trout was all texture NO flavor. Not only that but they don't have coins??? I also got one of their signature lemonades . --GET PEACH! As many times as I've eaten JJ's I've never tried the peach ; and I've been missing out -green apples always been my fave -. Average combo meal (wings and fish /wings and tenders etc) window price is 10.99 before tax . The lemonade is 2.49 the flavor is .39 cent This place is good -- it's a franchise that I feel doesn't lose its taste based on location. I can say however weekends or week nights sometimes the wait can be a while especially if theres A LOT of ppl. But I've never waited over 15 minutes Due to COVID there's no seating ; you place your order wait and leave. Prepackaged condiments are out on the table for you to grab yourself . As you walk on there's signs in the doors stating to wear a mask -- and that only 6 ppl allowed in store for Social distancing . They don't enforce the 6 ppl rule , as when I went I was the 6th customer and 4 ppl walked in behind me. The staff were wearing masks - one of the ladies behind the counter was wearing gloves initially as she called and packed the orders; but took them off as she began to take orders . Assuming she did this to touch the keypad to place the orders . There's a plexi glass window between you and the cashier as well . Good for the price. I had the 4 chicken wings dinner which was $4.99. I had to see what was up. My son said they give you a lot of good for the price. The wings is good I like the crispness and the batter is seasoned well. They put a good amount of fries and you get bread and a small cole slaw. The cole slaw did make me laugh because it's probably 3 table spoons worth. But I wasn't there for the cole slaw so it tickled me more than anything else. Came to this location around 9pm. They make the food quickly and there's a consistent amount of customers coming to the location so it must be pretty good on a regular basis. I would come back to try other items. I saw the fried fish behind the register when it was being packed and it looked pretty good so that may be on my next visit. read more

The reason is customer service. The cashier taken the order did not know what the selections included. I ask for a paper menu because the overhead monitor was not readable. The cashier went on her cell and turned her back. Another cashier came to the counter and between the two of use we tried to understand the menu. The second cashier ask the first if fries and/or slaw came with this selection and the response was she did not know. The second cashier suggested I place my order online. I went to sit and had to ask a customer to get a chair off the table for me. I am 73 recovering from lung cancer and cannot stand long. After about 30 minutes I was told by the first cashier she did not have my online order. The second cashier tried to place my order on my iPhone. A third person came out and entered my order from my phone into their computer. The food was good, but the service is the reason I will not go back. When someone has a bad experience it get repeated more than a good experience. read more

I love the chicken and the fish when it's cooked just right from this place. A lot of people love that seasoning they put on the chicken and fish afterwards and like it heavy so they tend to put it heavy on all the food but I like it might so I have to be sure to tell them that and even then it's still heavy at times. Love the fried okra and the macaroni balls. The side slaw is good but too small after two to three fork fills it's gone.all in all the prices are fair and the food is good read more

I placed an online order for two meals. One was a dinner wing combo and the other catfish nugget combo. I arrived at the store and my order was not ready at the time stated from the order ticket. I checked on my order on 3 different occasions. An hour later I asked to speak to the manager. He was not accommodating, apologetic or anything. My order came out a few minutes later. Is this how jj's does customer service because this was unacceptable in my opinion. I was referred to JJ's Fish & Chicken and decided to try them last Friday. I purchased the fried chicken wings and my sister got the fried perch. The food was cooked to order and hot which I loved. When asked about it, she disputed me saying she did, then asked for manager and said the manager wasn't available to speak to me.
