I haven't been here in years, but the seafood spot they opened near my house a couple of months ago is already outta business. My memories of my meals here are all good, so I checked their Instagram, and they hadn't posted a closed message, so I headed down to the location. Located further down Old National Hwy than I remember, but upon entering, ppl were waiting to get their orders and three ppl walked in before I got a chance to place my order. I believe that when my family first began coming here, Dallas was a newborn, and today, he was taking my order. They grow up people. There are about ten tables to dine in. They were out of whiting, but thankfully, I was here for the crab legs and neckbones. Oh, and they outta lemonade. How good is the lemonade gotta be to be sold out?? Praise God it was R&B playing and not MTVRaps. Does that still come on? I ain't gone lie, as I sit and wait, seven more people have come in to order. Visited on a Thursday around noon. Ordered the Mari (I think) that came with crab legs, shrimp, corn, potatoes and an egg. While I did have to wait a little, i acknowledge it's a smaller establishment and family owned. Food is also made to order. The seafood came well seasoned with garlic butter on top. I usually use hot sauce. But this was so good I didn't even need it. The own was very friendly and nice. Definitely looking forward to trying some other things on the menu. read more

I stopped by on a Sunday morning right after they opened. I ordered my food and sat down and waited. I already knew what I wanted because the owner had been posting the neck bones and they looked good! I haven't had neck bones in ages. I ordered the Bre special. It comes with crab legs, shrimp, neck bones, boiled eggs, corn, and potatoes. Everything was GOOD! The crab legs were fresh and cooked perfectly. They were easy to snap and pull the meat out. The neck bones were delicious! They were very meaty and tender. Everything was seasoned perfectly. But I did ask for light seasoning without Old Bay. I didn't realize that I would have two plates. It was a lot of food and it took me the rest of the day to eat it. I will definitely be going back very soon. read more

This used to be a great place for seafood but the last two times I've ordered it's been down hill. The portions are smaller, the prices are higher and the quality is lacking. They have changed sausages and the new ones are horrible! The man that takes the orders is very personable, however the older lady has had a bad attitude for the last 4 years I've patronized this business! Lady please follow your dreams because customer service is NOT your gig! Godspeed on finding your happy place because it's too obvious you're not happy. This place is one you can't judge a book by its cover. I will say at first we we go here we both were suspicion but my fellow yelpers did not lead me wrong. The food here is amazing!!! And plentiful I ate on my meal for 3 days!! Pricing was very reasonable... I'm still in shock. This is not really a place you eat in although they have 2 park picnic tables that you can sit and eat (just beware they are loose). 2 downside is they don't offer many condiments and the fries weren't anything special. At least I didn't think my fries were really seasoned... but the rest of the food made up for it. We actually ate there so I was looking for hot sauce and they didn't have any. The best snow crabs I've had in a while! You get sooo much food for a good price. I had the Marie special which came with snow crabs, eggs, potatoes and shrimps for $18.99. The wait is about 20 minutes, but it's well worth it. The food came out so hot and delicious! Make sure you get there early because they do run out of food! It's just that good! I can't tell you abt the ordering experience bc a friend of mine picked the order up and brought it to me. But I can tell you that it was delicious! I ordered the mari special with a side of broccoli. There's the option of regular or spicy. I chose spicy and did not regret it. There's definitely enough for lunch and dinner. Well I tried not to listen to the reviews but ordered the Stephanie special my crabs was ok the garlic season is good just a little more spicy that the garlic seasoning on the seafood. And my shrimps was overcooked and very mushy. Overall will be a good spot but needs to understand shrimps go in last so that they don't be over cooked.. or they cold be using leftover shrimps which may be causing them to be mushy. But as bad as I wanted my shrimps I could eat them because they was just mush. Y'all please get this right for retuning customers.. read more

Follow the side advice of others and call in your order. Now about the food. So the portions are so much for the amount you pay for. I recommend sharing if you have a smaller appetite. Comparing to other seafood boils, there is a set flavoring and non-spicy. The crab legs are amazing with the butter sauce. I usually don't think much of the potato's but those are so yummy. The sausage is a tad salty. Shrimps are yummy too. We ordered the catfish and that was so good. With the fish being so fluffy and it's nice to have the fries. You only learn that the there's a new location by pulling up at old location, and only then you'll see a handwritten sign in the window of the closed bldg (if you look hard enough, because I almost drove away in huge disappointment) indicating the new address, which thankfully is only 3-4 mins away (Old National). YES I AM A FAN! I called in my order for the Stephanie crab pot special and was told the order will be ready in 30 minutes. The Airbnb I stayed at was only 12 minutes away from the establishment so I didn't mind. When I arrived to pick up the food there were some folks eating and other in line to order. They were very busy as it was now Saturday lunch time and you can tell it is a popular local joint. A gentlemen ordered before I got to pay for my to go order and he was told he'd have to wait 45 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful and juggled taking calls and taking orders. After I paid I got my order and drinks in about less than 10 minutes. I was excited to drive back and eat! They did offer me a cup holder as they have massive cups for soft drinks (yay). We ordered the Mari special which consisted of two crab claws some shrimp, potatoes, corn, and an egg. My brother ordered a side of fried fish as well which only came out to $2.50 extra! He also opted for the mystery lemonade (which we thought tasted a lot like strawberry lemonade haha mystery solved)The young lady who rang us up said it would be about 5-10 minutes (she was very sweet and polite btw). When your order is ready they show your food and right away I noticed our to go box was nice & full and the food looked well seasoned. Hands down that is the most flavorful and best tasting seafood I've had! I'm usually a girl who loves a side of butter with her crab but this crab had so much flavor I didn't even miss it. I'm not embarrassed to say I actually ate the whole meal. Everything! Those potatoes were melt in your mouth delicious, and the corn was sweet and salty goodness. My friend Helen took me to The Crab Pot and being that I am a seafood lover I was beyond excited. She told me that during the weekdays early afternoon are the best time to come because closer to the evening and the weekends it's sometimes an hour to 2 hour wait. There was tons of free parking right in front. When you walk in the place is very small but it smells absolutely delicious inside. All the specials are pictured and visible on a colored chalk board and highly recommended. I must admit I was a little apprehensive about the eggs because I'm not a big egg person but I had to try the special so I just went with it. We also ordered the lemonade and I'm pretty sure it had something addictive in it because it was beyond delicious, cold and fresh squeezed. Even though the place is small they did have seating so we decided to eat there. We only waited about 20 minutes for our food to come out and when it did my mouth was watering. I took a few pics before I devoured it. The flavor was...magical, that is the only way to describe it. The crab legs were filled with meat and were nice and juicy but not oily or too much butter. They were seasoned to perfection and so were all of the vegetables. One thing that surprised me were the eggs...I have NEVER tasted a hard boiled egg like that. It was joy to my taste buds I literally wanted a side of the eggs to go. Weird right?, since this was the one thing I was worried about!! I asked the cook what they were putting in the pot back there because it has to be illegal to taste this good. By far the best crab legs I have ever tasted.
