This place has a new owner. The quality of the food has gone down. The wings are smaller with a higher price. The shrimp fried rice had no flavor. The lo mein noodles were extremely greasy and a ton of vegetables that were cut properly. The service was decent but for the price i expected much more. Cool wing spot where the wings are still the size of a wing that's worthy of the price tag. While in there I spoke with a repeat customer who made mention of other menu items such as the fish which I'll have to try the next go round. I had the wing and cheesesteak combo. Wings were plump, cooked perfect and sayced accordingly. Cheesesteak even though it came out wrong at first they quickly rectified the mistake and delivered a pretty good cheesesteak. Finally found my neighborhood wing spot! I've driven by several times but never heard of this place so I kept avoiding.... Boy was I wrong! One night scrolling on UberEats led to randomly ordering honey BBQ and mild wings. WOW! Impressive ! Crispy as requested. Fries don't travel well (not their fault), so next time I plan to order in person ! The wings on the other hand came piping hot in an aluminum pan. I love local places like this. Real people from the neighborhood, no attitudes, friendly and clean. You can tell they take pride in what they are doing and where they work. I ordered a W8 which is a 10 pc combo with fried rice. Everything was good. I wished the honey bbq had a little more stick as a sauce but it was still delicious and the fried rice amazing. Next time ill create a meal around that! my total came out to $9 and some change. this might just be my next favorite local spot! read more

I was in the area I looked at the reviews I felt a 4.0 starswas a pretty decent score for the food. However, after ordering, I see that the 4.0 stars was very much inflated. I ordered the Gyro and fries. I guess it came with a drink, I was not asked what kind of meat I wanted on my Gyro lamb beef chicken, second, the pita bread that came with the Gyro is not even edible chewing it is a task and takes tremendous effort. The meat is mediocre. I don't know what it is. The tzatziki sauce is mediocre. I don't know if it's blue cheese or sour cream. The french fries were mediocre. They could've been a little softer and I got more fries then I did meat on the Gyro. Would I visit this restaurant if I were hungry looking for something to eat again? Absolutely not. I would rather go to Burger King or McDonald's.. I haven't tasted their wings or any of the other food that they offer but based on my experience with the Gyro, I don't want to and I don't think I'm missing out on anything read more

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I can be a little impatient at times. I know this about myself so I do things to help keep this side from being displayed often. I take certain precautionary steps such as ORDERING MY FOOD IN ADVANCE so I don't have to wait for it. I found this place online while looking to order wings for a party. I don't eat wings so I rely on reviews to help me make the right decision. I called around 5:45 to order 50 wings and 12 chicken tenders. I asked for them to be ready by 7 so I could bring them back to the party piping hot. I got there around 7:03. The gentleman there was very friendly. I paid for my order and he said it would be right out. I ended up sitting there waiting for about 25 minutes! What's the point of ordering in advance if i'm gonna have to sit and wait for them anyway. That was very frustrating. Some other folks came up to the counter with the same issue. Only half the wings were eaten so I don't really know if I can say they were a big hit. The chicken tenders were pretty good with the barbecue sauce. Overall, everything went ok. I've been a patron of J. Buffalo House Lake City for years. So much so that I live closer to a different J. Buffalo House and actively choose to drive to the Lake City location. After today, I will NEVER visit again. Aside from the service taking a decline from the constant change in employees, today February 13, 2022, as I was filling my drink nearest the register, I overheard the blatantly NON BLACK cashier say out of his NON BLACK mouth to an equally NON BLACK customer 'speak up, n*gga!' as he was taking his order. (The other NON BLACK person was assumably his friend as they were giggling) I was taken aback. I immediately said to him "are you Black?" he said no, and I asked "why are you saying n*gga? why do you think it's okay to NOT be Black, and say n*gga in front of all of these Black customers?" he muttered something then said sorry and went on to take the NON BLACK customer's order, ya know the same customer who was giggling at being called n*gga by an equally NON BLACK employee. I called the store and spoke with someone named David who claimed to be the owner and told him of the situation, but I already know nothing will come of it. He said he will speak to the boy, but what will speaking do to an employee who was so comfortable saying that WHILE AT THE REGISTER ON THE CLOCK, to another customer, in a very Black area, around many Black customers?????? When Black people experience derogatory, offensive, racial epithets and racist language, we are expected to roll it off of our back and move on. We aren't expected to speak up, and when we do, we're angry Black people causing a scene. And that's why I said something because during Black History Month in this Black area in front of other Black people, I was not going to let that racist language by an EMPLOYEE go unchecked. As I mentioned to David, and Asian man, that if the ONLY Black employee who I saw today-- a young Black woman cashier-- had said the same but with derogatory language that affects Asians or latino/hispanic people, she would immediately be fired. He was muttering and stuttering, and I ended the call. With that, they will never see me or my money again. I would advise you all to choose another place as well. read more
