Great place for a burger and a beer! Lots of TV's that can be seen from any seat in the restaurant.

Was in town visiting friends and ended up here, unfortunately. It looks decent inside but that's where it ends. They obviously don't properly clean their tap lines. All tap drinks were disgusting. Food? Tastes like frozen stuff you'd get at kroger. Didn't finish any of it or take any leftovers with us. We left still hungry. Service was fine. No issue with our waitress. But I wouldn't bother with this place. We left, still hungry. Ended up at a Mexican place a few blocks away. Wasn't hungry after that! read more

Well normally I have nothing but good things to say about this place but this afternoon changed that. As some yelpers have said it is legitimately a neighborhood bar. That being said sometimes the employees get too comfortable and don't know the proper way of conflict resolution. From the start I didn't get a good interaction from her. I ordered take out because I like their wings. I tried to just order 6 but she said I had to order 12. With no explanation. once i received the bill i noticed that their tips start at 25% not the standard 20%. Lastly i noticed on my bill i saw an up charge of 50cents. I inquired about it and her Kurt answer was "it's in the menu ". Just by giving someone a short answer "it's in the menu" doesn't resolve anything. Yes it's only 50 cents extra but it's the point of the matter. So I retorted "not everyone reads the whole menu especially when looking for food and not side notes somewhere. All in all the wings were good as expected. I usually come here on Wednesdays and I see why. read more

The food tasted like it came straight out of a box and into the microwave. My wings were soggy, and the fries were cold and bland.

Wasn't for me, food was greasy to the point of not wanting to eat it, drinks are typical, nothing special. Staff & who I assume is the owner or manager gave off an incredibly off energy, felt unwelcoming. Had multiple moments that felt like they were really trying to nickel and dime every single thing they could, I'm not sure if they are just in desperate times, as we all are with the state of the world now, or what but it came off weird and uncomfortable. Tip options that start at 25% was just the cherry on top, I feel like I paid an arm and a leg for gross wings/fries & beer & didn't even enjoy myself, big bummer. Not a great establishment. Food was cold. Strange management. We dropped in for a quick dinner and ordered burgers and a few beers. The burgers were lukewarm and the fries were cold. When we asked about the temperature of the food we were met with some attitude. We just left it at that and plan on visiting other establishments that aren't so strange. read more

This is your typical neighborhood bar with lots of regulars and locals that frequent often. We didn't sit inside with everybody else so I can't speak on the atmosphere or environment, but it did feel awkward walking in and having everyone glare at you. We all decided to sit out on the enclosed back patio and had the whole place to ourselves. There were 4 or 5 tv's to watch any desired games and the speaker system was good. The waitress was nice and chill. She went a little MIA for a bit and we had to track her down, but overall we liked the service. For the food, I got the corned beef poppers and house side salad. I was originally going to get a corned beef sandwich, but since I wanted the poppers I didn't want to double up on the corned beef. The jalapeno poppers were disappointing to say the least. All I could taste was the jalapeno which was a bummer because I was excited for the corned beef since I heard it was pretty good. The side salad came out on a rectangular plate, which everyone thought was weird, but for $4 who cares.. it was decent enough. It seems that the drinks are the highlight of JJ's Place, which isn't a surprise because it is a bar. They had a long list of mules, so I chose the summer mule made with Calypso rum, lime and ginger beer. It was refreshing, but nonetheless strong. My party also shared a couple pickle shots and can I just say, I will have all the pickle shots, please and thank you! Overall, a nice joint for a drink, but I'll have to stop by again to try one of the corned beef sandwiches. read more

Came here for the Super Bowl. Bad mistake. Speakers were not working in our area we were sitting in so we could barely hear the game. Ask the bartender she had zero clue how to work the sound system. Food was very poor! My friend order "Nachos" but it was just chips and cheese! No lettuce or tomatos. Pretzels were soft but found a BONE in the cheese. Avoid this place at all cost!! For a bar joint not a bad place. Waitress/bartender was friendly enough and the place seemed pretty clean. The singing cook in the back was probably my favorite part. The food was not bad not good just your pretty basic bar food. I had the chili dog and some fries. I do think the cooking oil could be changed for the fries because it was noticeable. Something about cooking oil that hasn't been changed it gives a nasty aftertaste ruining the French fries. Didn't make it to the restrooms for my usual kitchen check, slightly distracted with my meeting. If I'm looking for a hangout joint with the girls will give this place a go. read more

What a nice bar. Friendliest staff around. Food is a step above bar food. Wings are good, and the chicken salad was crisp and fresh. Plenty of selection on beers. I like the Vanilla Porter. 2 pool tables, and a great jukebox. The bar always looks clean. Can't talk for the women's bathroom, but the mens is kept clean. The people that go there, are all friendly. We stopped by to eat before going to the grocery store..not expecting more than just some bar food. We were pleasantly surprised. I had "the big bird" sandwich (turkey, raspberry aioli, arugula and sliced blue cheese)..soooo good! We came across this place a few weeks ago. Great atmosphere-great food-great prices-nothing fancy. Reminds me of some of my favorite dive bars! Some of the best pickle shots I've ever had! Also put an a major social gathering, where no one wore a mask, despite the fact that we have a mask mandate in order in this area. No regard to anyone's health. Tonight I brought a friend in from out of town. As usual I have brought (Hundreds if not thousands of dollars) to support this bar. As my friend and I were sitting at a nearly empty bar. The woman to my right starts calling us faggots and after realizing that I spoke Spanish starts asking if we are gay I respond to her and quietly say no we are not and to leave us alone and then she then responds with there's no problem being gay and why would I deny it? So I tell her to fuckkng stop. The Bartender then brings us our check and the woman keeps going on as the bartender is telling me to stop and doesn't say a word to this drunk lady. (As she still is rambling) so I stand up to pay my bill obviously really pissed then the bartender goes full feminist and starts yelling at me. At this point I no longer give a fuck. Now I have two women attacking me saying I'm bucking up to a women. I give the money to the bartender the money for my check and she says now get the fuck out of my fucking bar. I respond saying that's fine just give me my change & she says No get the fuck outta my bar.. Thank god one of the male employees comes to the front and had to argue with her to give me my change. So Now I have to women attacking me and trying to Blatantly take my money. After finally getting my change the male employee follows us outside and apologizes for what happened. You didn't have to 86 me I will never return to a place that allows this kinda behavior or allows their employees to or their customers to act in the manner. Lol let me say this for the people in the back just because I am a man DOESNT give any female the right to talk to us however they feel nor does it not give us the right to stick up for ourselves. Parents beware! This place is not family friendly! We met up with some friends on a Friday evening. The music was ok and the pool tables looked like fun. However, we we're very surprised to see the two waitresses traipse over to take our order dressed in stripper/boudoir clothing consisting of bras, fishnet stockings, and thongs. Their asses and breasts were proudly on display. Bar staff and male employees didn't have to dress this way. Curious why all staff didn't have to partake In this disgusting display of too much skin...? I was tempted to see if the stripper pole was in the back room! We only got drinks and decided not to stay for apps or dinner. We got beers which can't usually be messed up and a top shelf dirty martini. The martini was more water than vodka and the olives weren't martini olives but rather regular green olives for salads. The waitress/stripper tried to tell me it was straight vodka and they only chilled the glass. I know what vodka tastes like...and this was straight up water. I ended up paying $16 for the "martini" and extra shot of vodka...since I didn't get any the first time around. We won't be going back and I would never recommend to anyone. read more

We come here alot. Perfect space for the kids to play on the back patio. Great pizza, wings, spaghetti, margaritas, daiquiris, and dessert! Only thing is I wish they had some monthly specials or new menu items to change it up every now and then. read more

JJ's is a new bar/grill serving cold beer and solid food. They also have great specials like 50c wings on Wednesdays and $5 pitchers on Thursdays. It has a pretty large patio as well. It's definitely nicer than most of the bars in the area as well. Service is always on point as well. read more

What a great spot in Aurora for Amazing food, Cold Beers, Drinks, watching sports and playing pool. They have an amazing juke box for music of your choice. Plenty of TVs for all your favorite sports, and the staff is fantastic. They are very attentive, very nice, very professional and engage the customers. Guys the ladies are easy on the eyes, and they are aloud to wear what they want too. They have the largest selection of tap beers in the area, and the prices are unbeatabl. The food is always on point. The pool tables are well taken care of, and plenty of seating around them.
