Loved the feel of the place upon entering and was greeted by the friendly staff immediately: They have a full bar, daily lunch specials, kid friendly and delicious food. I had the deep dish pizza and salad lunch special , salad was cold and crisp and the house dressing was great, deep dish sausage and onion pizza didn't disappoint, it had a nice crispy thin bottom crust and loaded with plenty on toppings and cheese making it enough for 2 meals. We get carryout from JJ Twig's on a pretty regular basis. My husband loves the pizza, and I'm crazy about the Sherry Chicken Pasta - one of the tastiest pasta dishes I've ever had. I will say that the salad that comes with the pasta is underwhelming. I need to remember to tell them just not to bother with it, because it's really an unremarkable salad. It's almost all iceberg lettuce with a little mozzarella, a couple of pieces of red onion, and some croutons. I usually only eat a couple of bites. My only other small complaint is that they may be one of the few restaurants near me that doesn't have a way to order online. You have to call the store to place your order. It's not a big deal (the person answering is always efficient and pleasant), but it's still a slight annoyance every time, and if I'm trying to decide between two different restaurants, I generally tend to go for the one with online ordering. Again, it's not a huge deal, and it certainly won't stop us from coming back. I just like the convenience of online ordering, and I doubt I'm alone. Even so, this place is great, but I do wonder if they would do even better if they offered a way to order through the website. read more

First I want to disclose that my son has worked at JJs for about two years. The restaurant itself always feels comfortable and inviting with the staff being friendly and the atmosphere relaxing with all the local games being played. I've been in several times when a patron wanted to see a certain game and they were happy to put it on. The food is your expected bar fare but done really well and feels almost like an upgrade to most food of its kind. I've honestly never had a bad thing there. Finally this place seems to have quite a few long term employees and I always see that as a sign of a good place to work. I highly recommend supporting this restaurant and keeping it in our neighborhood for years to come. read more

We originally visited JJ Twigs for the double decker pizza because.... Double decker pizza! What we found was that this place is great for many more reasons. On our first visit, we were surprised to be seated quickly and that our server was there immediately to get things started. The service was excellent the whole time. Friendly, prompt, considerate, everything you need. Even though we were there for the pizza, we also got an order of wings. They were honestly some of the best prepared wings I have had with crisply skin and moist tender meat. The sauce was also good, but I could have done with a little more. The pizza was amazing. Hot, crispy, flavorful and an excellent value. We went back with more family last night for a birthday and had an equally good experience. Great service, food and value! Proving that JJ Twigs is not only great, but consistently great! I'd also add that the layout is great, the bar up front is isolated from the dining in the back such that it doesn't feel like you are eating in a bar. Started out w the pizza a few times (amazing) then burgers (made fresh not from frozen patty's) are one of the best I've had around. It actually came out med rare. A great place to stop after we saw our granddaughters t-ball game. It has a wonderful pub atmosphere. We ordered the wings loaded with cheese and bacon and the cheeseburger pizza. Long Island teas is good but it is unfortunate that the tonic was flat in my gin and tonic. The double decker pizza will be on our list after the next game, it looks spectacular. We came here last night at 8:55pm. We walk in and the bartender says to sit down find a spot but then kitchen yells out they are closed. The sign on the door says they close 1 hour before the bar. The bar closes at 11. It was 8:55. We drove 30 minutes to get to this location. All to be told the kitchen is closed? RIDICILOUS! We will not be back. read more

Food is always really good here and service is always very good compared to places these days. Biggest complaint from tonight's visit is that that cut blue moon from the draft list, which was probably the best blue moon in the area. Pizzas are good. Appetizers, not so much. The "huge stack" of onion rings their menu promises is basically a side order of onion rings and not worth the money charged. The potato skins, which were halved potatoes with toppings, weren't much bigger, if at all, than deviled eggs. Again, not worth the basically 10 bucks they charge for them. My wife wasn't happy with the server's attitude after asking about a discrepancy on the bill and getting a lecture over it. This is where our teenaged grandchildren like to come. Good food, generous portions. Family friendly. Also, the restaurant is VERY accessible for anyone using a wheelchair or walker.
