When the bin was picked up, I was told it weighed 11.5 tons (23,000 lbs) and was charged an additional $880 for overweight fees. I have remodeled many homes and have never seen a 1,150 sq ft remodel generate anywhere near that amount of weight--especially considering the debris was drywall only. The claimed weight is simply not believable based on my experience. I attempted to resolve this reasonably with the owner, Alberto, and their employee, Eddie. I even offered to pay $750 toward the overage, despite strongly believing the charge was excessive. They refused to negotiate and dismissed my concerns entirely. I will not use this company again and strongly advise others to avoid them unless you're prepared for unexpected and questionable charges.
