My favorite Indian restaurant in the area recently changed ownership so with that I'm on the quest for a new spot. JJ's came highly recommended so off course I had to try it out. I came here Saturday at 1 with my daughter and was meeting a friend. We were seated immediately and staff were kind. They had shah paneer here which is one of my favs so off course I had to get that, I also got an order of the butter paneer masala and out of those two I actually loved the buttered paneer masala more here though both were amazing. I also placed an order of the salt and pepper mushrooms, garlic and cheese naan and off course some mango lassi. Everything was delicious and friendly quick service. My only complaint was as we wer finishing our meal I really started smelling cigarettes coming through the vent which thankfully we were finishing up but the smell was not pleasant at all. My 6 year old devoured the food as well. We'll for sure be back. read more

Moving from the PNW, finding a good Indian restaurant was a must. The west side of Columbia had some good ones but somehow we missed this place in the north east side of Cola.. The food is excellent and the quality has always been consistent (even the good places on the east side seemed to vary in consistency with their food). Good food. Had the Pomfret Fish Tandoor the last time I was there, but the things I've eaten there on previous visits were delicious too. Be warned, many of the entries don't include rice, naan, or any other sides. Something to remember when you do to-go orders. The Pomfret is a bone-in presentation, so plan to use your fingers to get all of the tasty morsels off the bone. read more

The food here is absolutely delicious! I rarely leave reviews but this place earned it. The Service staff and the owner were very friendly and even took the time to make me fresh Idli (not on the menu). Masala Dosa was off the chain especially with the sambar and peanut chutney (both delicious on their own). Don't forget to start out with a nice cool mango lassi. Came here on Thursday for lunch and it was really good! The waiter was nice and the place was clean. We ordered the butter chicken and the garlic naan with the chicken samosas. My hubby also got the mango drink and he liked it as well. The food was hot and had good flavor. I love that they have one closer to where I live because I usually travel 30 minutes to another place. One word....DELICIOUS! My daughter and I stopped by here to try this place out. We ordered at the counter and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. This was no problem. The dining room was filled with patrons of different racial ethnicities. It was clean and inviting. We got our food and traveled home. I ordered the Chicken tikka masala, and fish curry with naan. This place is standard seating; nothing grand. The menu has no descriptions so you don't know what you're ordering. The food was delicious though I didn't get the same thing the second time that I got the first time (only because someone else ordered it and I gave him a description of what I ordered; it was not the same). The naan was awful though so be warned. Spending extra on dry garlic naan isn't the move. The service was okay as I got my order to go. Amazing food and service. Ordered goat curry with Malabar parantha, dal makhni and Chicken Hakka noodles. Every dish was mouth watering. The chef recommended ordering their paneer parantha and ajwain parantha, and it reminded me of eating in India. Must try!! read more

My wife and I recently tried the restaurant. She ordered Malai Kofta which he enjoyed but it was too mild. Next time she orders this she will do medium. I ordered the Masala Dosa which was very good. Enjoyed the sambar and the three chutneys (peanut butter, tomato & coconut). We ordered the plain naan which was outstanding, among the best we are had in Columbia. We also ordered the Vegetable Samosa which we enjoyed. The only item that was a little disappointed was the Gobi 65. We ordered medium but it was not that flavorful. Found a great little Curry house in Columbia! Nice size portions full of fresh flavors heat to your taste!! I got mine hot and they delivered but they held back on me some!! The restaurant is nestled away off of a busy street. He aromatics of the spices used in the preparation of this food hits you as soon as you open the door. I ordered medium spicy and that was good enough for me. This is coming from a person that likes spicy food. My entree had bold flavors reminiscent of my time spent in the Middle East. The dinning area is small however the food speaks for itself and the existence of this establishment. The serving sizes are great with plenty leftover to take home. After hearing great things about JJ's Curry and Biryani, we decided to go for Valentines Day. The restaurant is quaint but comfortable. They sat us immediately but there was a wait for the food since everything is made to order. The food (and 45 min drive) were definitely worth the wait and the portions are huge. There were 5 of us and we ordered only 3 dishes and we still had leftovers. We had the Chicken 65 Biryani, Mutton Goan Curry, Shrimp Hakka Noodles, and an order of garlic Naan.
