I recently ordered takeout from Hyderabad House and was pleased with the experience. What I ordered: I got their gobi manchurian to start things off. It came is spice levels: baby mild, mild, medium, spicy, very spicy. I got the mild because I do like my gobi manchurian to have some spice. That said, their mild is more like a heavily medium from what I'm accustomed to. I enjoyed it but just a note--if you like things to have only a slight kick, I'd go for the baby mild. For my main, I got their malai kofta. It closer to a light medium when ordering it mild but again, no problem with that. For the dish itself I found dumplings to be a bit too mushy and the overall flavor was a bit lacking for me. For my bread, I got the garlic naan. It was excellent! Covered in chopped garlic and glistening with butter--it was indulgent and delicious. Everything was perfectly packaged (no leaking!) and came piping hot! And, the servings were robust so I have fully half leftover for another dinner. Get to it! read more

Food was really really good, it had a great spice level for medium so both me and my wife were able to enjoy everything. If I went by myself or we were not sharing I would have went with a step above medium but it wasn't missing anything. Lots of flavor good size portions enough we had leftovers and got dessert to go because we couldn't eat anything else. The korma that I ordered was so flavorful and had a great variety of vegetables and paneer. The vegetable kofta was really good and fresh. My wife really enjoyed it. I tried some of hers and she tried mine. She said she would get the korma next time. I agree I would not get the kofta next time either but it's not my style of dish and would never order it but I did enjoy trying it. The chili bullet Nan was so delicious and spicy, I loved it. The garlic Nan was also very good and had a nice butter and roasted garlic flavor. The monagadi paneer I believe it was called that we had as an appetizer could have been a meal and had some seriously good flavors (spicy peppers, garlic, ginger and special spices)and texture. I would recommend it highly! The Godfather beer was nice to split and gave us both a nice beverage to enjoy but not overwhelm the taste of the food but definitely complemented it. The service was good they bring you bottles of water when you sit down and they charge for them but it's like 50 cents so not that bad. I do wish they brought out some complementary sauces and whatever that crispy chip type bread is that we have been served at other restaurants. It is not inexpensive the meal for two was about $75 with only the one beer. The dessert was not something I personally liked but I never had it before and we wanted to try something. I tend to never really like the dessert from Indian restaurants so that's a personal preference. The ambience was load techno style Indian music and reminded me of the end dance scene from slum dog millionaire. My second time here. The first time was during the soft opening when the menu was limited so wanted to check out additional items before posting. We tried dosa, vada, idli, gutti vankay curry, and andhra goat curry the first time. The second time, we ordered gobi Karampoddi, gongura chicken, Mirchi ka Salan, and Veg Hakka noodles - all Indian extra spicy and an order of idli sambhar - mild spicy. The service was good and we got the food pretty quickly with the appetizers coming out first, as requested. The portion size was also pretty decent for the price- enough for 2-3 adults if you're sharing entrees. However, the spice level was a little off. The Mirchi ka Salan could've used some more Thai chillies instead of the large jalapenos that tasted like bell peppers. The gongura chicken and veg Hakka noodles were almost spot on at least after adding the chilli sauce that comes with the noodles. The sambhar was ordered mild for a teenager but it turned out to have a little too much heat for them. It was spot on for an adult with a developed palette but maybe not so much for a weaker one. Desserts were also on the okay side. They put rooh-afsa (pinkish rose syrup) in their rabri which makes it a little different. The rasmalai was pretty watered down with no malai (cream) but was flavorful. I don't think the desserts provide any value for money so I would skip them. We had a bunch of leftovers (Mirchi ka Salan and Hakka noodles) that tasted really good when reheated. So maybe the spices just needed some time to really bond with the food overnight. I ordered takeout from Hyperabad House for dinner and tried the chicken tikka masala, chicken biriyani, saag paneer, garlic naan, and idli sambar. I've been here before when it was 7Spices (which was delicious, I miss it), but this was my first time since the new management took over. The flavors were solid - especially the saag paneer and tikka masala curry. The garlic naan had a good flavor but was overly chewy. The idli sambar should be placed separately for takeout as it was way too soggy after the less than 10 minute drive home. The restaurant itself was clean, and the staff were polite. My order was ready about 10 minutes after the listed pickup time, which was a bit inconvenient but not a dealbreaker. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but for the price point, I expected a bit more in consistency. I will try dining in next time and see if that makes a difference! read more

I love the food here. I have noticed that this place, Aromas of India, JJ's Curry and Biryani all use bottled water. This is a thron in my side. I googled it and it turns out most of South india drinks bottled water because their water structure. Get a clue and help cut down on plastic. These 3 restaurants are the best Indian in town and I assume all have Southern Indian proprietors. I'm going to 2 Gingers today because of the water bottle issue. read more

If you like Indian cuisine (my husband and I adore it) you must try this gem of a restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious! We visited for lunch and my husband had the Dum Chicken Biryani and I had the Masakali Chicken Biryani. The entrees were expertly prepared with fresh ingredients and a perfect combination of spices.
