This restaurant brings us delicious food from The Ivory Coast of West Africa. The menu is simple but looks amazing with plenty of options. Everything is a la cart , but the portions are generous. Today I tried Krako , which isn't on the menu, but you might can ask for it. They said it's when the plantains are over ripe, they are smashed with spices and then fried . It was sooo good, though just a bit oily. Next, I decided to try their stewed goat and their signature spinach rice. The goat was unbelievably tender and the broth was so flavorful. I ended up mixing my rice Into the sauce after I'd eaten all the meat. I will definitely eat here again, I want to try their whole fried red snapper. Prices are affordable. Where have yall been hiding? FOR YRS, I have been on a quest in search of the food I saw many enjoy...until today When the food touched our table, we knew we made a great choice! I had the Egusi soup w/fish & Cassava fufu (next time I wanna get it w/the smoked turkey) & my husband had the peanut soup w/smoked turkey & plantain fufu We also got Jollof rice to-go & that was bussin', not to forget the delicious hibiscus/pineapple juice they offer! I'm excited about our future dine-in's & I'm looking forward to trying the okra soup w/the yam fufu next The plantain fufu (my fav) has a slight sweetness that really compliments the peanut butter soup... & please give the staff grace... it's a small, busy business, so consider elsewhere if you're in a rush. It was our first time trying African food and I was extremely impressed and satisfied with our food! We were told about all the food on the menu and what it was so that there would be no confusion. Great atmosphere and hospitality! Quality and taste of food was amazing! I ordered Fufu with oxtail and I couldn't get enough. Additionally, we ordered several different rices they offered along with Peanut soup to eat with the Fufu and the chicken kabob! The sweet plantains were great as well. When I am craving West African food, this is the place I go. This is also the place where I bring my African students. All of the food is good, especially if you love food with some heat or kick. This is my second time at this restaurant. The food is fantastic. It is very authentic and flavorful. All of the food is cooked to order so be prepared for a wait... a long wait. I ordered the okra stew with traditional yam fufu. I found my self sopping the fufu along the bottom of the dish, trying to get every last drop! I was not really impressed with the vegetable Ragu. It may have been because by the time the dish was served, it was no longer hot. My husband enjoyed the oxtails and rice. We had the vegetable eggrolls as an appetizer. For my food, it was great! I enjoyed every bite. The goat meat was a little tough, but I'm not familiar enough with goat to know whether or not that's supposed to be the texture. It's flavor was great, however. I have to agree with some other reviews that the portion for the fufu was smaller than what I was expecting. I ended up finishing it before the egusi. We went back for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and tried fried plantains, okra soup with fish, yellow rice, and chicken kabob. All was delicious! There was a hot sauce that came with the kabobs that was really spicy. The yellow rice was flavorful. I particularly loved how the plantains were cooked, they weren't fried hard, but were crispy enough and sweet. Customer service was excellent. We love this place and will be back soon. read more

Grandson wanted to come here for his birthday lunch. None of us had ever had African food before. We made reservations because there were 9 of us. Richard couldn't have been more welcoming and the food was delicious! He made sure to explain all the dishes and heat values so we could choose. Our group tried the fufu, spinach soup, fried plantain & yams, spring rolls, chicken and beef kababs, goat meat, jollof rice and more. Drinks: Anise Tea; Ginger Pineapple juice and the Hibiscus pineapple juice. Our appetizers: African Yams, Fried Plantain, Spring rolls, Beef Shukya. Wow, The beef melts in your mouth. The sauces that accompanied: for the African fried yams - pepper sauce. The African Yams reminded me of Fried Yucca, the pepper sauce, hit the mark. The fried plantains where just right, the sauce was tomatoes, onion, based. The Spring rolls, the sauce was sweet chili.
