Oil residue from rear main seal leak

Well !!! Where do I start... My First Red Flag - When LKQ called the shop to verify the motor and to make sure they where sending out the right motor, they where told that my motor did not have an EGR valve so that's what they sent. After waiting 3 days for the motor to arrive at Jj's transmission when it did I was told that the job had already started but they needed replacement parts so I was told It would take a few days to get a quote and order the parts so I decided to go to autozone and purchase all the parts needed for a whopping $200 dollars and drop them off personally, well that didn't make the owner to happy because I was told that he make his money of if parts.. as off you aren't marking 1200 already off of the repair itself so While I was there I checked on the truck to see if the job had actually been started only to see my truck sitting there with the motor still in the crate, so I said to myself no big deal it's a shop these guys have lots of work to do so I continued to wait a couple days later I get a call from LKQ telling me that the motor they sent was the wrong motor and that my original did have an EGR valve and that the shop had made a mistake, still no call from the shop regarding the matter, so after talking with LKQ we found a solution to that problem and it was time to move on. My Second Red Flag- Now after dealing with all these simple issues that could have been avoided and a very condescending receptionist I thought my problems where finally over and that I would finally get my truck back. Well I was wrong ! On the day the truck was to be finished I get a call from the shop owner saying that the motor LKQ. Sent me was a bad motor and that I would need to submit a warranty claim and mind you LQK Warranty's only cover up to $50 an hour meaning I would have to come out of pocket another $500 just to have him do the same job again I was furious ! And I told them I did not want them to work on my truck any longer and that I would have someone else do the repairs and that I was not happy with there work or there professionalism, well after telling them that I would told that they would not accept anyone it or credit card from them and that I had to pay them cash, because they where worried that since I didn't like there work that I would do a "charge back" which caught me by surprise because I was paying for the job on my credit card due not not having that amount of cash to drop at that time, I asked why that was and I was lied to and told that there credit card machines where down and other reason, so I sent someone in there undercover to have a simple job done and I told them to pay with a debit card and record it for me, and behold there credit card machine weren't down they accepted his card with open arms. So after that I took it upon my self to call a tow truck and have it meet me there to tow my truck from the shop and pay my bill to get it released I took $500 in cash and $600 credit and told them that was all I had to work with and they accepted that with hesitation telling me to be man and not do a charge back, not once did I mention a charge back I just wanted my truck back. So while I was there I had my Rep at LKQ send a gentleman out to inspect the motor and see what the issue was, while he was inspecting it the rep asked me to come back in about an hour when he was finished so I left and told the tow company I'd call again later We'll an hour later I get a call saying that the motor is perfectly fine and good to go?????? THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS MOTOR THE WHOLE TIME !! Can you believe that ! So I took it as a blessing and picked up my truck! And went my separate way ! Of course after calling the attorney general office to file a complaint for them trying to strong arm me into paying cash ! And I left it at that no YELP review or anything because I was just glad to not have to deal with them any longer ! No this is the crazy part ! 1 month later I take my truck in for an oil change at a local jiffy lube only for them to tell me they won't touch it! When I asked why they said because whoever changed the oil last time had rounded off "stripped" the oil pan bolt and left it on ! And that was leaking oil??? Almost a whole quart and half had leaked out Luckily I caught it in time like what What professional shop leaves a stripped oil pan bolt ! But anyway I finally take it to a local firestone to get the bolt take off and replace only for them to tell me that I had a " Rear main Seal Leak" !!!! At this point I'm at a loss for words I call the shop and I ask them about it and they tell me to bring it in and let them look at it which of course I'm not going to do and they they ask me if I submitted a letter to the attorney general so I told them yes I did and they tell me that it was " rude and disrespectful " so I hung up !

I had a buddy at work "shade tree mechanic" type who works on cars tell me what he thought was wrong with it and he even printed out a list of parts that are the likely suspects and their cost. Everything my friend gave me was relatively simple to fix and the cost of the parts were very inexpensive. Well, these guys called me up and said it's the main computer component of the auto (nissan maxima) and will be between $880 - $1100 to fix. Thinking my friend must have been wrong I told them to go ahead and fix the a/c, it was HOT in late July. Went to pick up my car and into the small office on the lot and the person, I assume was the owner of the place, tell me how they only use parts that have 100,000 mile warranty, etc, etc, etc. At the end of his speech I asked to see the part they had to replace. Turns out, the part was listed on my buddy's sheet for $189 but they charged me around $800 for it. I don't mind paying for parts and labor but geez, I could have replaced it several times in the "100,000" mile warranty for less than what I was charged. Wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone. To be fair, the a/c is still working and I get that everybody has to make a couple of bucks for their cost but buyer beware for this shop....

I got my vehicle back in mid November of 2013 and for 3 months it ran fine how ever in early February of this year I began having noticeable problems with performance on the free way,. it ran extremely rough and there was a noticeable oil leak which I later found out after taking my truck to the Chevrolet dealership was due to the seals in the oil pan and behind the transmission being bad. Arkansas Engine and automotive failed to replace them when they put the new engine in they also failed to properly service the radiator which also was leaking fluid. Now they are waiting on their warranty company to give them the ok to fix what they should have done right the first time, I am very upset with Shawn and the crack head he has for a mechanic because now I am with out a vehicle yet again. Do not use this company you are better served in going to Benton Transmission and Automotive just down the road they do good work and won't fuck you over...

I came back after hours that day to pick it up, only to find that my car wouldn't go in to any gear. I left a message on the business phone stating my concern. I left a bright neon note on my windshield with my problem. I didn't expect a call til Monday morning.(opens at 7:30) 9am rolls around on Monday 5-11 and I decide to call another shop. I met the wrecker there at 9:45a, Michael was in the shop bay, he had to have seen us. He never came out. The next shop diagnosed the problem. The Slave cylinder needed to be bled., something you have to do when disconnecting it in order to replace the clutch. Michael called me about 2.5 hours after I had my car towed that Monday wondering why I didn't come in to the shop...I had to hang up. Advice: Do your research on your vehicles and know every step it'll take to fix it., make sure it's communicated to you. I'm still miffed at how he got my car from bay to the parking Area.

Engine coil repair This is an engine coil that BMW removed…read morefrom my son's car a couple of weeks ago. It was installed at Reade's on Reynolds Road in Bryant. Please note the tape. When I asked Reade's to refund the cost of the coils that were installed at their shop I was refused and asked to leave. Please note, I did not ask for a full refund including labor. The part shown had been installed at Reade's the day prior and BMW found the newly installed coil in pieces and wrapped in tape. BMW service works behind an entire wall of windows that customers can clearly see through, watching their car's entire repair, should a person choose to do so. I was present at the time the dealership removed this coil, watching behind the window. I have learned that the original owner of Reade's shop passed it down to his son. It's not the same owner/mechanic of years past. Frequent that shop at your own risk. And the risk of whatever teenage children you might have behind wheels he "services".
