We originally wanted a string trio for more traditional wedding music, and planned to switch to a DJ after the ceremony. We had a phone consultation with Chris about what kind of music we wanted, and he accommodated us for a late night phone call (despite being a dad with two young kids!) which we really appreciated. My (now) husband and I went over our style of music which was Jazz/R&B and Chris ended up adjusting our day-of trio to a jazz trio, to better fit our music taste. Chris/JM allowed us to request two...uh... *interesting* choices for our processional/recessional. We said "....how do you feel about Outkast 'Prototype' for the processional and a Talking Heads song for the recessional?" and his response was "Awesome." What a weird request - so grateful for Chris for making our choice a reality. Day of, the trio was on time and well dressed. The songs turned out BEAUTIFUL and I had chills walking down the aisle to two incredible songs that meant a lot to me and my dude. The rest of their two hour period was Jazz/R&B style and our guests LOVED it. Lots and lots of compliments on having something a little different and really high end for the ceremony/cocktail hour. We would recommend them again in heartbeat. We spent more on desserts than we did on our trio and we wish we had paid them for longer! Hire them!

Steve and Brenda did US the honor of providing their services during our recent wedding reception. They were extremely engaged with the process and made us feel very secure in our decision from the outset. They made themselves available prior to the event so that they would know where to set up and also assisted in a last minute addition of playing our wedding video on a projector without a thought. During the event they did everything that you expect a DJ to do, took requests, provided announcements and were very attentive to the point of noticing that a song that they were playing was clearing the dance floor, so they immediately segued into a different song. Simply put they provided a level of service above and beyond any of the other vendors or service providers that we worked with during the planning and execution of our wedding and reception. The thank you card that we received a week after our event was icing on the proverbial wedding cake. We hired them about 8 months out from the wedding and we were sent a link to fill out the details of our day. This was helpful to prompt us on all the options we needed to start thinking about. We met with our DJ, Jeron, five days before the wedding via Zoom. We sent him some Spotify lists for our cocktail hour and dinner that he was able to accommodate in short notice. He had the right amount of energy for the party we wanted and checked in with Chad and I throughout the night that was greatly appreciated. He also sent us a really thoughtful handwritten note to us after the wedding, that really meant alot. My only note is it would have been nice to have our initial meeting more like 2 weeks out from the event. We met on the Monday of our wedding week and that week was pretty jammed packed. After multiple phone calls prior to the wedding to ensure there would be no issues, they still showed up without the proper equipment needed to play the music that had already been provided to them. Songs were repeated multiple times throughout the night, and at one point the family had to step in and fix the situation themselves. We literally had to go get an AUX cord and use the mother of the bride's personal cell phone just so guests could hear decent music and keep the reception going. A wedding DJ should come fully prepared and professional, especially after confirming details several times beforehand. Instead, we were left scrambling during what should have been a special and stress-free event. I would strongly recommend staying away from DJ CONNECTIONS if you want your event handled professionally. They completely dropped the ball and put unnecessary stress on our family during my daughter's wedding day.

Anthony adjusted the mics real time as the wind moved in so we could hear the vows. Then as everyone else ran out of the rain he broke down the equipment in a deluge and moved it into the party. Shortly into dinner the power in the city went out, but Anthony found some battery powered speakers, rewired the setup, and kept the party going by emergency lights. The philosophy is great- there are no leads and no one has to audition so everyone gets the benefit of performing without the competition. The students are well taken care of, the staff is passionate and flexible, and the plays are entertaining and fun for the kids to perform. This is a great inexpensive summer activity that allows students to learn a new skill and make new friends. The best part is watching students go in through the doors nervous and shy and then see them perform two weeks later with pride and confidence. Great place!
