I came in to get my car armrest reupholstered. I called to get a quote on the price before hand and when I came in to pay the price doubled. I asked them would they be able to do an exact or close match to the stitching (we already concluded that the material would not be an exact match but it would be close and I was fine with that). When I came in the stitching was a different color and in a different position. I was then told that they would not be able to do an exact match unless they ordered a door panel which would cost another 1250 - 1500 (not including installation). They attempted to fix the positioning of the stitch but after $100 in uber to get back and forth and it not being for / what they told be it would be from the beginning, I am just over it. If they could not do the job they should have told me that instead of giving me something I did not ask for or want. They have really good customer service but the actual auto reupholstery service is not the best.

The car has a moonroof, so I knew the drains are liable to be blocked. But when I tried to open it, it backed up a couple of inches and jammed. Made an appointment with AI&T, then brought the car in. The very first thing I noticed is the shop is clean and very organized, impressively so. A couple of days later, they called back and explained what they found and gave me a price. Plastic parts in the transport mechanism had become brittle due to age, and broke into pieces which jammed it. They straightened everything out, including the interior slider that covers the moonroof. Because of their knowledge of so many cars, they replaced it with one from a newer model that fits perfectly. We brought in a project, an antique hassock that a friend had gifted us with a storied past: it was purchased by her late father-in-law when he was stationed in post-war Morocco. The bottom of the hassock (calfskin?) was worn, and the ancient cotton batting was falling out. ABZ to the rescue. They stitched on a full-coverage patch that should last another 70 years, and blended in the stitching to make sure that the original craftsmanship wasn't obscured in the slightest. From drop off to pickup was less than a week, and their call to let us know that it was complete was a complete and pleasant surprise. Pricing? Horribly reasonable for custom work. It looks like they do both furniture and a lot of boat upholstery, too. If you have a project in the Triangle, I'd call them first. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

On the day of service, Pater and Mark called to see if they can come earlier due to weather. They arrived on time and explained the whole treatment process to before doing the work. I was a little cautious as the leather is a Porsche tan color seat and worried of discoloration. They basically removed the stain spot and also repaired a worn out area of the center console where the material was 'peeling'. The process was actually quick and took about an hour.
