When I said I'd just pack it myself, the employee asked if I brought tape. When I said no, he told me they charge $2.99 just to use their tape. Meanwhile, the employee next to him was taping up boxes for other customers for free, which made the whole situation even more confusing and frustrating. I asked for the cheapest shipping option to New Jersey and was told it would be $40. I double-checked multiple times to see if there was anything cheaper and was told no. At that point, I was looking at nearly $70 total just to ship a small package, which didn't sit right with me. I decided to walk out and come back another time with my own box. The next day, I went to a different UPS Store and got a box and shipped the same package for just under $30. less than half of what I was quoted here. This place felt like it was full of upsells and unnecessary add-ons, especially from the older gentleman who was helping me. I'd strongly recommend double-checking every charge if you end up here. I'll be honest, I already knew this location had a reputation for long lines and poor customer service, but I was in a pinch. Lesson learned. There are much better UPS Stores out there. I will NEVER come back to this location.

He's got people coming for this service just about every 10-15 minutes so I can understand his need to be efficient and accurate in order to serve all of us. And he was all of that, we just were trying to make all of our time there more light and enjoyable and he responded well. He provided exactly the service that was advertised and expected and the pricing was a bit lower than other nearby locations so a good value too. I explained that I'm traveling next month and wanted to avoid any issues, but instead of helping, she suggested I just travel with my marriage certificate. Nobody wants to carry unnecessary documents while traveling when this could simply be handled correctly the first time. On top of that, she claimed my Known Traveler Number account didn't exist. I had to repeatedly ask her to enter the full account number correctly before my information finally appeared. After that, she continued the interaction with an obvious bad attitude, huffing and puffing the entire time because she clearly did not want to help. The owner was not helpful either. If I hadn't been persistent and informed about the TSA renewal policy myself, I honestly don't think this would have been completed properly. Very disappointing customer service experience. He stood there for what seems like forever because this employee couldn't even be courteous enough to take five steps to the right let him pass by. Before this, the employee is having a conversation with this passport customer about how this is his girlfriend's neighbor and what cars are in the driveways and what color houses they are for identifying markers. All while I sat there waiting patiently, a line collecting a line behind me. The woman behind me left her letter and left. I finally took my packages and walked out, super pissed as I write this. I reached out to Lynda through Yelp and got an immediate response. We coordinated an appointment and she met us at my home and took care of business. So why does she deserve 5 stars for essentially doing the same thing any other notary public willing to go to Sacramento would do? The exceptional customer service! We ran out of legal paper and she was willing to bring some she had at her office for no charge. Saved me a trip to the store, and she didn't nickel and dime and insist that we pay her for printing, etc. Additionally, after our initial appointment, we realized something had to be corrected and we needed an additional copy. She came back to the house late that evening, AFTER her other job, to get it squared away so she could go to Sacramento for the apostille the next morning. No additional charge! Lynda provided thorough communication throughout, including the next day as she went to Sacramento. She asked if she could deliver the documents to our house the following day as she also had work that night, and unfortunately that didn't work for my in-laws schedule, so she made time to swing by that afternoon before starting her other job that evening.
