This office is conveniently located to the freeway, Bart and STARBUCKS! 2. Parking - has an abundant amount of parking. Out of all the places I looked at, this is the only one that had parking. 3. The office is very nice and professional in appearance. It has a good size waiting area with enough seating for clients, but isn't overwhelming. 4. The space we rented was large, with everything we needed close by and the most beautiful view of all the different trees that surround the area - it made the place relaxing. 5. The staff are professional, very helpful and welcoming. 6. Many options are available to all businesses when renting a space here. Their answering service was my personal favorite and is something we have chosen to continue with. Thank you IO, we enjoyed our time here! If I ever need to rent a space again, it will be with Sierra and Intelligent Office.

What wasn't fair was how everything else was handled. I was quoted $23 for a box, which I later found out included Styrofoam packing and "labor." When I said I'd just pack it myself, the employee asked if I brought tape. When I said no, he told me they charge $2.99 just to use their tape. Meanwhile, the employee next to him was taping up boxes for other customers for free, which made the whole situation even more confusing and frustrating. I asked for the cheapest shipping option to New Jersey and was told it would be $40. I double-checked multiple times to see if there was anything cheaper and was told no. At that point, I was looking at nearly $70 total just to ship a small package, which didn't sit right with me. I decided to walk out and come back another time with my own box. The next day, I went to a different UPS Store and got a box and shipped the same package for just under $30. less than half of what I was quoted here. This place felt like it was full of upsells and unnecessary add-ons, especially from the older gentleman who was helping me. I'd strongly recommend double-checking every charge if you end up here. I'll be honest, I already knew this location had a reputation for long lines and poor customer service, but I was in a pinch. Lesson learned. There are much better UPS Stores out there. I will NEVER come back to this location.

    I've honestly waited until I had a few visits here before leaving my honest feedback. There is no…read moreother way to put this, this is truly a miserable location with miserable employees. When you walk in, you can never expect to get a smile, usually not even a greeting, even when you're standing in line for a while. Always only one employee. Nothing moving quickly or efficiently. This morning I was in line behind someone who looks like they were getting a passport. I waited for what seems like forever before the employee even turned around to say he would be right with me, as his back was to me (and all the customers) the entire time. He had the customer behind the counter, trying to take fingerprints....and apparently she couldn't understand the simple concept of laying her finger flat on the scanner. No surprise here, this idiot customer parked her car right in front of the store taking up one and a half parking spots. Behind the employee was a poor UPS driver with a dolly full of packages just simply waiting to get past him to his truck. Trapped behind the counter with the employee blocking the walk way. He stood there for what seems like forever because this employee couldn't even be courteous enough to take five steps to the right let him pass by. Before this, the employee is having a conversation with this passport customer about how this is his girlfriend's neighbor and what cars are in the driveways and what color houses they are for identifying markers. All while I sat there waiting patiently, a line collecting a line behind me. The woman behind me left her letter and left. I finally took my packages and walked out, super pissed as I write this. Probably should wait until I cool off, but an angry toy he speaks a truthful heart. I waited foreverrrrrrrrrrrr for nothing. This morning was a complete display of lack of consideration, respect and urgency for other people's time. I can't stand this location. But at the end of the day, I know better than to come here.

Things to know: You need 2 forms of ID, and I would call ahead to make sure someone is going to be there. They say that someone is there 10AM - 6PM M-F. Another nice thing is they give you a key to the outer door if you need to pick up mail at off hours. Thumbs up!

    I have been a customer at Orinda Mail Call since 2012. They provide a small number of private mail…read moreboxes (PMB's) of different sizes and provide you with a street address to get FedEx and UPS deliveries, just like competitors The UPS Store and Postal Annex do. They have a total of 120 small mailboxes to rent and 32 medium ones. The main difference between them and other mail stores is they are a single store (not a national company with franchises) and rent mailboxes for much less money: $90 for 13 months for a small mailbox, if paid for the year in full (they throw in the 13th bonus month if you pay in full). If you pay by the month, the cost comes tout o a little more. Compare this to $200-$400 a year at most of UPS Stores. You also have to pay a refundable $5 deposit for the mailbox key and another refundable $5 deposit if you want a key for 24-hour access. (They didn't have that latter key available for me when I first signed up, and it took a few weeks for them to get one since their locksmith they used was not available sometimes.) Otherwise they are open from 10 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday, and 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturdays. They are closed Sunday. The USPS post office, should you need that, is also in the next plaza, just literally a 1 or 2-minute walk away. There is also a UPS Store and FedEx Office nearby. USPS mail is delivered there usually at 10 AM, and they finish putting it in the mailboxes by noon. It is such a small space, like the size of a household bathroom. I have rarely seen any other customer in there. I like small and personal! The reason they are so inexpensive is they are part of McCalou's, a chain of small, old-time department stores in northern California. One of the McCalou's locations is next door, and is actually connected to Orinda Mail Call from the inside. (McCalou's also owns Hollyhock Cards & Gifts.) The employee only works there a few hours a day putting mail in the mailboxes. But if you need someone or have to pick up a package, all you do is ring the buzzer and they come right away from McCalou's. If for some reason no one comes in a few minutes, just walk next door to McCalou's and get someone. I've only had to do this once. Usually they come in a few seconds. They have always been so kind and courteous, and you get to know the people there. Joan is the former manager, who retired, and now Jane is (I think that is her name--I should really know as I have seen her enough times). They have always happily talked to me. They usually have one of the other employees work there on their day off. I have no complaints. They have never lost any of my mail and do not give me grief if I don't come for a month or so to get my mail, like my old post office in another state did. I don't think they provide service like The UPS Stores do, like shipping services or forwarding all your mail to another place (at your expense) when you request it (though the former manager Joan offered to do it for me since she liked me). But I am sure if you called in the would tell you what mail you have. Also, if you have Certified Mail from USPS or the like, I think they give you a slip and you have to go to the actual post office to sign for it and pick it up. I have never received Certified Mail here, but I like this option since it allows you to refuse the letter if you want (like if you are trying to avoid service), rather than them automatically accepting it. You have to realize that they are not really there to compete with other mailing stores, especially at $90 a year. They just have always provided this service, mostly to the locals, and I am sure they do not make much of a profit. This is the only mail store McCalou's has; the other locations do not have them. I am so lucky to have found them. I had to do my research, as they do not advertise.

He dutifully checked our IDs, and ensured that all the paperwork, fingerprints and logging were done carefully and properly. Best of all, each signature was very inexpensive, as we only had two signatures to be recorded - $15/signature, which is the going rate for getting notary services at a local copy/mail/package estabilshment like this. Yes, we shopped around! And best of all, the notary at Copymat is always here, unlike other package shipping/copy places where notary services aren't always available. On Wednesday, February 18, I reached out needing two full sets of trial documents totaling more than 5,400 pages, with everything completed before the following Monday. After calling multiple large chain print shops and being told the turnaround wasn't possible, I contacted Copymat and spoke with Shawn, the owner. Shawn and his team immediately stepped in with professionalism, clear communication, and a genuine willingness to help. They completed the entire project by Friday morning, allowing me to finalize everything by Friday afternoon and stay fully on track for trial. The quality of the work was excellent, the turnaround was incredibly fast, and the customer service truly went above and beyond. It was a huge relief during a stressful week, and I'm extremely grateful for their help. Copymat Walnut Creek absolutely saved the day for our firm, and we will definitely continue using their services. Experiences like this are exactly why supporting local small businesses matters.
