We started the day with a huge problem. Our septic tank was plugged up and water was running out of the shower floor and toilet. Plumbers mostly get calls from people who want them to come within an hour. Dan was recommended by two trusted source. When we called, he was driving to one of several emergency calls he had lined up for the day. Long story short, he wedged us into his schedule long enough to find the place where his vacuum service would connect...except that it was incorrectly installed and buried under 2-3 feet of dirt. He dug by hand, got the blockage opened and will be back in a week or so to do the vacuum and repair job. Between now and then, we have a working toilet, a shower and kitchen drains that operate "normally." He is a pro. Explained what he was doing and why. And, his price was very reasonable.

The company who'd replaced our roof didn't replace the flat part. They said it didn't need to be replaced. It was a rainy day when they collected the check. As soon as they were gone, our family room ceiling opened up and gallons of water poured in. The roofing company agreed to replace the flat roof but they did a sloppy job. I had someone on my roof who was screening off areas where critters could access our attic and they told me that flat roof needed to be replaced, sooner than later. I contacted several companies recommended by people on the Nextdoor app. One company came out to give me a quote but never returned my calls. Another company told me they were only doing roof replacements. I appreciated their honesty. I was very specific when I called roofing companies; I didn't need a new roof. One guy came out and told me he could contact my insurance company and tell them my roof had been damaged from a storm. We'd not had any damage to our roof from storms and that's bordering on insurance fraud. I decided to check out Yelp recommendations and saw that Easton had a lot of good reviews. When I called, they were very nice and told me they'd send someone out. The guys from Easton were there on time and they gave me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable so I called to schedule the repair. The workers were very nice, professional, timely and they were there everyday until it was finished. They cleaned up after the repair so I wasn't finding random pieces of roofing material. Everyone, from the woman who answered the phone to the guys who did the repair was very nice and the whole process was seamless. Easton completed the repair and after years of checking ceilings, I can finally relax. Another contractor I'd used to remodel our house often needed access to the roof. I didn't ask him to check the flat roof but while he was up there, he wanted to check it out. He assured me they'd done a very good job and then asked for their info so he'd have the name of a good roofing company if one of his clients was looking to replace their roof. When an outstanding contractor is impressed with the work done by another company and asking for the company's info, that says a lot. If we have to replace our roof, we'll definitely use Easton and if anyone needs a roof replacement or repair, I highly recommend them. They've earned those 5 star reviews.

So they worked on getting it "free" to no avail but sure did charge me almost double the price for nothing. The next job I was charged twice what they usually charge to open a main line. A call to one of the Big Boys might be better than Sharp. At least you know they are going to try to shaft you. Will never use Sharp Plumbing again! Update: The owner called me a couple of weeks ago and admitted they overcharged me and promised a partial refund. No refund has never showed up. I believe it was an attemp at an apeasment because he saw some of the negative reviews. They deserve them.

Plumber came out and said the wax ring was on upside down and used the same one to put it on the right way (I have since learned it's impossible to have it upside down, and to not use the same wax ring). The leak gets even worse from here on out, to the point I file an insurance claim for water damage. I called Calvert multiple times with all calls going to voicemail. I reach out to home warranty to have them try. Finally I get a Call back saying someone would come 2 days later. Time passes and the technician was apparently exposed to covid so they would send another. No show. Call multiple times again with no luck. Reach out to home warranty and they have no luck either. Now I am out my deductible because they made the leak worse and will not call me back. Look else where.
