Nothing worse than getting ready for bed, to find all the drains in the house are backing up. Time to call around... I first called one of the well-known plumbers you hear on the radio, and was surprised to learn there was a $99 +$265 emergency call out charge (a total of $364 before any repairs are even made!), and a 2-hour response tj. I came here to Yelp, and found Mike with Ace's Plumbing... most 5-Star reviews in the area. I called just before 9PM and Mike answered, said he'd be right over (though he was getting ready for bead as well when I called!). He was at my house within 15 minutes, diagnosed the issue within 5 minutes, and was soon running a snake down the main line! Was a total of 30 minutes and the job was done! So glad we searched Yelp and found Ace's! In the end, it cost us LESS THAN HALF of what the other guy wanted just to show up (not to mention a 2-hour response time). Thanks again Mike, you saved the day and saved us a ton of money!!!

I called Ace's Rooter for a clogged drain in my basement floor. Mike was fast to respond and…read moreactually came 30 minutes earlier than stated. The clogged drain was backing up in my basement about 3 feet diameter. It was a 15-20 foot line that ran toward the main line. The water went down the next day when Mike arrived. Mike said if he has to clean out the main line that would be 575, but he would clean out the small line for free. Mike put the camera down the small line which had a handful of small fingerlie type branches in there which shouldn't be. Mike said the pipe was bad and really needed to be replaced. He checked the mainline while I was upstairs turning on water for him. When i came back down stairs he said he already ran the camera down the main line and it was fine. I asked him to show me with his camera because I had just bought the house a few years ago and the house inspector showed me where there were a few branches at the end of the line that would need to be cleaned out eventually. Mike ran the camera again and there was sitting water at the end. He said he could clean out the lines but that would be 575+220 after he just told me he would do the small line for free. I then asked him for a rough estimate on replacing the small line. He got on the phone with his concrete buddy and was whispering in the corner on the phone. Comes back and gives me a quote of 9700.00. I ended up only having him clear out the small line and he ended up charging me 575.00. This guy does a bait and switch on his pricing, so I would get everything in writing on how much it costs before he does any work. I won't be using him again. He gets a 3 for his quick response and that's all. His pricing a 1. His integrity a 0.

Don showed up on time and patiently explained what he discovered was the issue to my husband who was out of town and on speaker phone. Don was able to fix the issue , and ensured that our major faucet (kitchen) was working before he left , even though this wasn't the faucet that had been repaired. On top of a great job with fair prices , Don was polite, funny and helped ensured all baby gates were closed when going from upstairs/ downstairs several time to keep my toddler safe. On one service call, the work was concerning enough that I asked more than once whether the technician was actually a licensed plumber. One technician inspected a sewer line and told me it was broken. Another technician later inspected the same line and said it had a "clean bill of health." Despite identifying two issues, the written report I received was only one sentence long. I had to call and ask whether one-sentence reports were now standard practice before I was promised a more detailed report. I should not have had to request basic documentation for a line with known concerns. On another job, a technician identified the sewer as a shared or common line. After obtaining a second opinion, I was told there was no apparent reason anyone would have reached that conclusion. The company's prices have increased, while the quality, consistency, and professionalism of the service I received have declined dramatically. Based on these experiences, I can no longer recommend this company.

Had him work on an outside faucet too and he spread all the power tools with water. For the amount that they charged I would have expected better clean up and communication, but no way. Once he decided he needed to go he left in a hurry no let me show you what I did or do you have any questions. I had to pull information out of him. I had another faucet that needed work done but he said he had to leave and couldn't do it. I get that we all have busy lives and I would have understood had I not mentioned everything I needed to start with. Save your money and go somewhere else. It's not worth getting your house dirtier than it was to start with and flooded without your knowledge. I tend to let workers in my home do their jobs and not bother them much so I guess that I should have kept a closer eye on what he was doing so I would have known about the flood sooner than later.

He was quick, efficient, courteous, and friendly to me and my family (and very accommodating to the fact that I had a curious three year-old who wanted to ask a million questions about what was going on). They responded and said they understood. The tech would arrive when scheduled. We took off work for the installation. The day arrived; it was a Friday, and the technician showed up. He looked around and stated that he had a few appointments prior to mine (it was 10:30 am), and he was out of supplies to complete the work... including installing the faucet!!?? He rescheduled for a week later. A week later came. Quality Plumbing contacted me and stated that we should change our date because they scheduled us for a Holiday and costs would be much higher. I thanked them and rescheduled. (Tuesday, 8-12) The day arrived, and 12:00 pm came and went. We contacted them. Oops... they forgot to put us on their books.. The entire experience was frustrating and absolutely unprofessional. I called Anthony's. They came out 2 hours after we called and completed the project in just a few hours.
