I just checked with Michigan roofing codes and there is no such change in layers. Double layer is acceptable in all Michigan cities. I also checked Go To Roofing for verbiage. Posted on their site shows they do double layer roofing. I don't like being conned. I believed rep as being trustworthy. I did have an option but it wasn't given to me. I called roofing due to possible leak in upstairs back bedroom.

Our immediate job of laundry room remodel was quickly quoted and scheduled. Tim talked through the options and was very supportive of giving recommendations. Knowing our subfloor had leveling issues and was creaky we decided best was to go for full tile floors instead of keeping laminate / vinyl. Neighborhood keep us abreast of the weather/schedule and came and did the job as soon as the weather allowed. They kept both the integrity of the roof and the need to meet a time deadline in mind and really helped us out. We are homeowners not roofing professionals, it was nice to know that they've been in Ann Arbor for so long, to know that they are well thought of in the community. A roof costs money, doing a roof the right way costs money but at least I know we paid a fair price for a job well done.
