This dojo is an awesome place for you and your kids to learn Karate from the devoted Sensei. Sensei…read moreDoan is the main instructor for every session. You can always tell he loves what he teaches. The students pay a fixed fee. The good thing is they can come as many times during the week as they want to. Sensei Doan explains how each body shift, arm and leg movement, block, strike, kick in each kata can be used in practical ways. He analyzes kata and extracts fighting techniques from the movements of a "form" (kata). My kids get excited to see how they can apply the techniques they learn in the Katas. They look forward to attend these special sessions of the week. One thing I like about this Dojo is all students come here to learn. Sensei Doan always emphasizes how important it is for each student to concentrate on the lessons and improve his or her techniques to the next level. He teaches his students to respect themselves to earn the respect from others. As they achieve each level of the belt rank , they improve not only their Karate techniques but also develop their personal characters accordingly. We believe this dojo is one of the top notch Karate dojos in this local area. If you are serious about learning Karate or Self Defense techniques, we definitely recommend you to check out this Japan Martial Arts Center (Japan Karate-Do Judo Jujitsu). You wont be disappointed!

Our youngest decided to join the studio after the move. It can be challenging with siblings (they're competitive!), but the instructors here are soooo good. He is down to earth and Awesome with his students and students families, along with his wife they make the school a Family friendly environment for learning. Sensai Nalo, the other instructor, is also an amazing instructor. The Dojo has high level instruction that the kids will understand and can advance their skills at a rapid, yet smooth pace. A little less than a year ago I signed up my 8 year old son. The school has helped with teaching him confidence, respect, discipline and has taught him to keep active. The instructors are hands on and dedicated to teaching the kids in a positive, fun environment while teaching them respect and discipline. The Instructors truly care about the students, and have lots of patients. This is truly a family friendly enviroment. The school plans activities to engage with the students and bond with their families. With the recent pandemic and the lock down orders, the school immediately went to virtual semi-private lessons and was able to keep my son engaged with other students as well as continuous learning. He loves it. The school offered additional private lessons at no extra cost. It's been such a blessing while we've been order to shelter in place! Thank you USSD family!!

I went in thinking we'd do some light work and quickly realized I was very wrong. It was a full hour of nonstop movement, and I loved every minute of the challenge. Coach Osmar was incredibly technical, patient, and encouraging throughout the entire class. As someone who works out regularly and is also a coach myself, I really appreciated the balance of instruction and intensity. The workout pushed me in the best way while still making me feel like I was learning something new. The community was great, the energy was even better, and I'm already looking forward to going back.

I dabble in both Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu classes on a weekly basis. Morning and evenings classes for both martial arts are offered and this works perfectly with my work schedule. The space is huge and is always clean as well. Everyone I've met at this gym is nice and willing to help as well. Overall the fighters and grapplers that Master Cordeiro and Professor Ricardo have produced in the past years has paid off because this gym has many high level athletes. I am very happy at KINGS MMA HQ!

Some schools sent out some pretty decent quality. The majority of the time however I could only sigh in disappointment at how the quality of American Wushu had deteriorated so much. Aerials and back flips but bent leg slap kicks, wild staff and sword lines, stretch kicks that go way over the head, swords spinning a million miles an hour but the opposite hand dead as road kill. It goes on. Lots of cool and flashy moves that only fool the layman. I'm no one special by any means but I certainly know what to look for in a quality performance. Then at some point a young lady stepped onto the carpet and began her long fist. That first head snap and my eye brows raised! This young lady displayed power, grace, style and some honest to goodness martial art intent! Looked like some 80's flow with that modern day jumping ability! I was thoroughly impressed. At that point I jumped out of the stands and had to get down to the carpet. Security let me through and I managed to speak with the young girl. I really wish I could remember her name but this is what I told her. "Hi there young lady, I'd like to talk with you about your performance just now. I did not see your score and I don't care if you placed 1st or 10th. Don't worry or stress over this competition. In the grand scheme it means nothing. You just keep doing what you are doing. Your quality of movement is fantastic and your teacher should be proud." This school can turn you into a quality wushu practitioner. Go for it!
