My 6 year old son started here recently (bjj) and absolutely loves it! Ricardo and Tim have been amazing. The kids class seems chaotic at first with the wide range of age, but it is actually well run. My son has invited his other friends to come check it out and they love it too. I'm watching his confidence grow with every class. The membership fee is definitely expensive. With soccer and other committments during the week, we can only come in once a week so we do the drop in rate instead and so appreciative that they have that option. read more

So I utilized their free trial class. They fortunately let me try one Jiu Jitsu and one Muay Thai class. If I had just taken Jiu Jitsu the review would be 5 stars. It may have been because the class was smaller that I enjoyed it more. I am a first timer with MMA in general and my training partner was very helpful with breaking things down and explaining things. Although the music was a just tad bit loud to hear the professor well enough. As for Muay Thai, the class was larger and keep in mind this was my first experience with MMA so I have absolutely no prior knowledge of jabs? hooks? I was just thrown into the fire of all these punches I did not understand lol. I was paired with someone who had taken 2 classes, so a bit more familiar than I was, but I could tell he was getting frustrated that I didn't know what to do. We both would have benefited from the professor explaining to me this is how you: throw a jab, a hook, a cross, an uppercut, or how to properly hold the punching mat for your partner. Especially because this was supposed to be a beginner class. However he explained kicks well so I'll give him that. Overall I was a little disappointed. Maybe another day would have been better because the girl at the front desk informed me that the regular professor who teaches Muy Thai was not here and we had a sub. Oh whale read more

Came to visit today and everyone was very welcoming. Nobody seemed egoistic and the professor was very humble. He paid attention to everyone in the class and was there if you had any questions. We started coming here because my 4 year old daughter was being bullied and she didn't have the skills or confidence to defend herself. 8 months later and her confidence has skyrocketed to the point where she's competed in two Jiu-Jitsu tournaments (and did a great job both times)! The Professors really care about their students and the kids sense that and love them right back. Was on vacation in LA to see Rammstein and didn't feel like dropping my cash on lame tourist traps, so I decided to do the thing I love best: kickboxing. Ample parking, $20 a day drop in fee, and classes throughout the day from morning to evening. I hear that Rafael shows up for the muay thai class from 6-7pm if you want to learn from him. I showed up to the thursday one and unfortunately he wasn't there that night (he was the night before though), but people tell me you better know your striking. There are lots of people training there, whether they be fighters, people wanting to learn, or just to get exercise. A lot Brazilian's train here so you know this place is legit for jiu jitsu if they fly all the way over to train here! I mainly did the muay thai classes and I can say that the instructors know what they are doing and taught me things I didn't know when training at my place back home. Sparring was on Fridays and fun. This place has a nice family feel to it even though lots of pros train there. There are two rooms so two classes can be taught at once. The mats are cleaned twice a day and the equipment is very new. Ample parking! I had a great time training here on vacation and I'll definitely return if I'm back in the area. read more

I was in Huntington Beach for a weekend trip with my family and Saturday was a usual training day for me. So I called Kings MMA to confirm they had. Saturday GI class. The lady on the phone was super nice and gave me all the information I needed to know including the $25.00 drop in fee for the class. When I got there the entire class individually introduced them selfs as the class went on. The instructor Ricardo was very informative and more then willing to answer any questions me or any other student had on the technic he was demonstrating. I decided to try a free trial class at Kings MMA and it might be one of the best decisions I ever made! The whole staff was so welcoming and friendly to me from the second I walked in the door. The girls at the front desk helped me get signed up, answered all of my questions, and made sure that I had the right equipment for my first class. I started in a Muay Thai fundamentals class and the instructor Gregory made sure that I didn't fall behind even though I was clearly out of shape. He didn't let me get discouraged when I got tired and he encouraged me to keep coming back. I can't tell you how much it meant to me to be treated this way. I signed a 6 month contract with the intention of coming 4 times a week. When I came back the next day to buy boxing gloves and pads they were actually closed for Pro MMA but they told me not to worry and let me buy everything I wanted. While I was there they told me I could sign up for a private lesson with Master Rafael Cordeiro if I wanted to meet him and work on my form to get caught up with my class. I ended up training with Master Cordeiro for an hour this week and he is the nicest guy in the world. I've never had so much fun working out. I haven't been to a gym in over 5 years and now I want to go every day. I can't say enough about the whole team at Kings MMA. They treat you like family. read more

I signed up for all the classes, being told I would get 55 dollars back if I didn't get accepted or didn't attend the mma class. Then I was told no after I payed that. Already paying 300 dollars a month. Which I've been to gyms that have just as good training, that charge you 150 a month. I never can get ahold of the right person to cancel the membership. I moved away. I was gonna come back and train. Cause the training was good. But definitely not now. Much respect to the gym. Just wish they could have handled it better. read more

This place is awesome!!! they really nice to me, especially Kory (the one work at the front desk) he've been very helpful, motivate me, even the coach here are awesome. I remember my first class here and my heart felt like it almost stopped after he warm up and i just realize that i still have a whole lesson to go. I signed up though i could go to muay thai class all the way from 6 to 8 pm but after 7 pm im just out :( they train really hard and also make you work on your cardio as well. I also get to meet wanderlei silva and jason miller. Have a great experience and will totally choose this gym to train.
