For example, they have a handful of noodles, but not every size and ingredient; they have a few rice varieties, but not every size. Same with the Indian groceries. They carry Korean chilies, canned jackfruit, coconut milk and Thai curry pastes. For those living in USC, MTL and thereabouts, this could save a trip to the strip district or one of the Indian groceries close to the city. Or give you the convenience to try that Indian recipe for which you don't have all the spices. Prices are quite reasonable and service was pleasant. A good addition to the Mall and to Mt Lebanon.

The store itself has a very cozy and homely feel and the workers were very nice and helpful! They suggested I get pastila, as it was a favorite. I liked the pastila and it was very reasonably priced. Overall, I'd suggest this store if you're in the area and want to try treats from a new region. I'd like to go back sometime to try the more savory items!

As I walked in, the very nice Auntie-Ji that runs the place remembered me from last time (She asked if I wanted lunch?). I have been learning Hindi on Duolingo, and I guess she remembered the white dude on a Royal Enfield motorbike that speaks a little Hindi . . . (LOL!). Anyways, I saw quite a few products here that were different from some of the other Indian stores in the area (I frequent many of them), and they had very nice looking produce section also. I bought a few non-perishable items that I could carry with me on my bike, and was on my way. I am bumping my review from 4 to 5 stars, because the woman was so kind to remember me, and she was very nice, and really sweet . . . BIG CHEERS!!!!! P.S. All kinds of unique and interesting flavors of ice cream, sorbet etc. And if you're holding a party, catering a corporatist charity event, buying for a group home, or just feeding the masses, this is the place to go for humongous bags of rice, stacked neatly in front of the windows and (unused) doors. The people at the register speak with Indian accents, and were not at all hard for me to understand; I've had two bosses from India, so I'm used to the accent. This appears to maybe be a family business. Younger people popping in and out of the back, stocking shelves, speak fluent English. However they are very polite, helpful and very knowledgeable about their products. I grilled them like salmon for information in a couple ingredients I needed for dinner. They obliged, and were very patient (did I mention very knowledgeable, too?). There are so many things offered here: from desserts like pastries, cookies, and icecream, to a vast array of spices I've never even heard of. There's a dizzying selection of noodles and rice. This is not the place for the indecisive. They have a section to the right of the entrance, of beauty products, lotions, etc.

I am not Asian, so perhaps I am not the most qualified reviewer, but I did recognize some foods from my past vacations in Japan and Korea. I also saw Chinese foods. The freezers, refrigerators, and shelves looked to be well stocked, organized, and clean, and the merchandise seemed to have reasonable prices. I saw a variety of foods--for example, soups, tofus, tamarind, rices, okonomiyaki, potstickers, curries, soy sauces, steamed buns, and taiyaki. I also saw beverages such as milks, sodas, juices, and teas. Kitchenware included pots, kettles, scissors, etcetera. Perhaps Panda Supermarket could offer more fruits, vegetables, and meats. Overall, however, I think that this store is very useful for finding merchandise that many other grocery stores do not offer.

She walked me through some of the items they have in store. There are fresh produce bakery, and pantry items sourced from local companies and farms. The deli offers sandwiches, and there are salads in the fridge. Some coffee/espresso offerings. Very cute and quaint, but definitely enough room to walk around inside and look at everything they have on their shelves to take home. I ordered the turkey sandwich and one of the garden salads. Everything was fresh and brilliant. Loved the apricot marmalade with the turkey! I will definitely come back here soon!
