The check out lady doesn't seem thrilled ti be there when I greeted her lol. It's a nice place for oriental exotic snacks to try. Closer to me than going to the strip district worrying about parking.

Panda Supermarket is a great Asian grocery store if you need Asian ingredients. They don't have as much variety as Lotus foods in the Strip District, but they still have whatever staples you need for any kind of Asian dish you're trying to make. In comparison to Lotus foods Panda Supermarket has a much better instant noodle selection in my opinion. They also always have something different. If you check their Facebook page you can see what new items they've gotten in. The grocery store is also very organized which is nice if you're not sure where to look for an item. I should also note that the staff are all wearing masks still which made me feel safe shopping there! Overall would definitely recommend for all your Asian grocery needs!

This is an exceptional Asian supermarket with a large selection of just about anything you might be looking for, and the staff is also very nice and helpful. I make special trips to Squirrel Hill just for this store. While you can purchase any grocery essentials and staple foods for preparing meals, they also have a decent selection of beauty products, Asian snacks, baked goods, candy, etc. I make it a point to stock up on my favorites every couple of weeks. They also rotate out different snacks so I usually end up finding something new every time I'm there. Definitely stop in and shop around if you're in the area!

Liz, the owner, is also simply delightful. She makes it easy to find what you need. Right now I'm super into the Meow Meow Tweet line of products there including juniper mint body oil that is perfect for right out of the shower post-shave leg happiness and a big ol' tangerine chapstick/lip balm sitting happily in my bedside drawer for overnight soft lips. (Plus I just got a second Frankincense and Flowers body oil today because...options...) The Winky Lux line of stuff (including fabulous whipped primer and shimmering eyeshadow) super floats my boat, and the Smith's Cult nail polishes and eyeliner are basically perfect--the nail polish is 8-free so I feel better about using it during pregnancy. My sister is obsessed with the glō primer with sunscreen, and I have recently also been converted to it. The Panier des Sens bath soap I got in January has lasted me several months and is incredibly fragrant and moisturizing enough to use for shaving in the shower. There is men's stuff, too! And Liz just came back from a buying trip to Italy where she said she found some awesome new stuff. Can't wait to go back and try! Overall, this is a wonderful woman-owned small business in Lawrenceville where you can find awesome gifts for others...and for yourself!!!!

The owner selects products that are healthy for people, animals, and the planet. Examples of brands are Korres, Davines, Zents, Vertly, Maapilim, Apotheke, Baudelaire, and Voluspa. My husband found this store when he searched for soaps in Pittsburgh. He knows that I enjoy using unique soaps, so he visited this store to browse their merchandise. He said that the salesperson kindly helped him to choose the best soaps. My husband must have forgotten that I prefer fruity scents, because he bought many floral scents, but he did buy some fruity scents. Of course, the salesperson would not have known my preferences, and I do appreciate their assisting my husband. My husband bought a total of seven bar soaps: two from Baudelaire, two from Lafco, two from The Handmade Soap Co., and one from the Kala Corp. I have not yet used all of the soaps, but I did briefly try one soap from each brand. All of the soaps lathered and cleansed my skin well.

He explained to me that most bar soaps contain sodium tallowate and sodium lardate. These ingredients are made up of beef and pork respectively. When used to lather your skin these things penetrate through your skin and into your body. Their soaps are either "vegan" or "vegetarian" since they don't contain those ingredients and are more beneficial to your skin. Their vegan soaps come packaged in a tan box while their vegetarian soaps come packaged in a white box. Soaps are all homemade and you can tell by not only feeling the bars but also smelling them. The scents vary and of course they have unscented ones as well. The soaps have whimsical names associated with them that are derivatives of books, shows, famous names, Shakespeare, and others. In addition to bath soaps, he sells facial soaps, shampoo soaps, creams, bath bombs, gift sets, and soap accessories such as a soap rest. He also has T shirts and other interesting things. They have a "buy two we donate one" program where with every purchase tallied during the month, they send half of that amount in the form of soap to various charities and domestic shelters. It's wonderful to know that my purchase is going to a great cause. I ended up purchasing 2 bath soaps and 1 facial soap. My bath soaps were Kali's conundrum - a peppermint, orange, patchouli soap, Pittsburgh Pride- a peppermint, orange soap and the facial soap was the last midnight- a tea tree, lavender, active charcoal soup. Got a soap holder and a couple of soap washcloths to go with it. I noticed he was selling cards at the checkout area. These are supplied by other vendors in addition to their artwork on the wall for sale. They are worth checking out. This location is centrally located on the lower level of the mall of Robinson just behind Starbuck's coffee. Free mall parking is available. I was very impressed with my visit and am looking forward to returning here soon!
