I stopped in Needlepoint This, because I'm going all in and I'll now be that woman who visits every LNS. All of the ladies in here were lovely, welcoming and helpful. I quickly let them know I'm brand new and looking to start needlepoint quite soon. I picked up a Waffle House canvas (my first 18 count as my blueberry pancakes is a 13) and some thread. Jane was especially kind to not have me spend too much seeing as though this will be one of my first projects and helped select essentials thread for my stitching. There's that itty bitty part of me that always wants the good stuff but I'm sure this will be just fine seeing as though I'm not even certain how this whole new found desire to make this a hobby of mine will turn out. I stitched my first stitch with Jane and she was very encouraging and supportive. Their classes are sold out for the remainder of the year which feels common in the area. I'm really hoping to find a great one somewhere because I love hands on learning and feel most comfy around a professional to get started and answer questions that will undoubtedly arise. We'll see, as each day passes I'm growing more confident in just starting on my own with videos. I now have just about everything I think I'll need to begin. Jane gave me a project bag and some travel scissors in addition to a couple other needles. I liked her suggestion to not use stretcher bars, although I have some I may experiment with different ways to see which I prefer. Parking is a little wonky in the area due to construction on Lovers Lane, I'd suggest trying to park across the road if you can't snag a spot on their side.

They have space to sit and needlepoint and a large canvas/thread selection. Perfect if you're looking for a trendier/younger selection of canvases! They are open until 7pm on Wednesday and Thursday. For those of us that work until 5 or 5, it's really difficult to make it to a needlepoint store typically. I visited twice within the first week of opening and the staff is very kind. The space is beautiful, there are chairs and tables to work and chat. I also get an email notification when the order is ready for pick up, so I am not sure why the sales associate had to speak to me the way she did. This was not a pleasant experience at all and really put an extremely bad taste in my mouth. I should also mention that there is no point to put an alternative person to pick up my order because they do not use that information. It seems that either their system is outdated or the sales associates do not know how to work the system. I cannot imagine ever coming back here with that worker's demeanor... immensely off putting.

They quickly give you directions on where to find items as you enter. I stopped in to buy items for my teenage daughter's room and they have a wealth of items to help decorate for room decor. Lots of items to choose from for a good value. I ended up buying organization bins, pillows, a lantern as well as party supplies for her upcoming birthday. It was nice to see so many items hands on to start putting together a new theme for her room. Their Easter items caught my eye and I bought a cute welcome mat for the front door. They had adorable Easter bunnies as well that came in bright vibrant colors as well as muted greenery with bows. They also had the ever popular wooden panels to decorate your front porch. I also spotted a variety of patio cushions in a variety of colors and with the warm weather we have had recently I did venture to check out their items to update my patio furniture cushions.

The amount would have been about $14. I spoke with Michele, middle aged African American female, at the cashier's counter. There were no customers behind me, and she was the only cashier at the time. I explained what I stopped by for, and she did not appear to want to understand what I was telling her. I noticed her starting to be rude, and I requested to speak with a manager. She started to raise her voice, and I asked her not to do that. She started pointing her finger at me and stated, "do not try me, today is not the day". Her whole attitude caught me off guard, and she even said that she would have me taken to jail. She also stated that I may have found the store gift card on the floor and was trying to get some money. I told her not to question my integrity. I walked away from the counter and waited on a manager. Kevin appeared, and as I started to speak with him, she tried to interject herself in our conversation. I asked Kevin to step farther away from her counter, so that we could have a conversation. At that point, I told Kevin that I was no longer concerned about the inactivated store credit, and that I was more concerned about Michelle's very negative attitude and demeanor towards me. She blew things out of proportion and I didn't take kindly to that. I had been a customer since the store's soft opening, and had never had a negative experience like this. Kevin advised that I call the number on the back of the store gift card, as he was very limited on what he could do without a receipt. It's extremely disappointing to see someone like Michelle, working at At Home, who is very unprofessional, clearly dislikes her job, and is definitely not suited for a customer facing environment. Customers come here to have a nice shopping experience while searching for the right items for their home. Michele's lack of customer service damages At Home's reputation, and upper management should seriously reconsider keeping employees like this.

Glad I did because the Frisco store was out of Jaws so,I headed over this way for a stop at Barnes and Noble and a skip over here. Walking into this store has a different feel. It seems bigger and browzing around my senses told me there was a different variety of merchandise. I wasted no time finding the toys and Fugglers. No signs, but several staff members standing around talking about this and that. I was at the register for several minutes, then hollered "Hello" loudly. A young lady came up and told me they were fully self-checkout, but if I needed help, they would do so. I repeated what she said, then told her that " I won't be shopping here again because I don't work here, she does. She apologized, but scanned my items. Why in the world is this a thing now? I believe there were 4 staff members there at the time. 3 were talk to each other and another must have been in the back as I saw her stocking earlier. I like the products, but will not shop there again for the reason I stated earlier. Unacceptable in my opinion. I also don't scan my items in Wal-Mart, or grocery stores for the same reason.
