Assisted living staff seem competent and nice; it's like a very nice hotel with lots of activities.

"It truly takes a Village to Care For An Aging Parent."…read more To The Executive Staff ... Front Desk Staff ... Housekeeping Staff... Maintenance Staff ... Activities Staff...Dining Staff... Nursing Staff... Support Staff... Haven Staff... Hospice Staff ... Doctors and Medical Staff... Beauty Salon Staff... Therapists...Priests... Ministers ... Entertainers ... The Wonderful Residents, and The Entire Community of The Cliffs At Eagle Rock ... I wanted to take a moment to thank you for Blessing my Dad during the last Chapter of his life. Like many elderly folks I suspect, my dad didn't want to leave his home. He decided to give your Community a try because the isolation, boredom and loneliness brought on by Covid was very hard for him. He was beginning to decline and get depressed. Three days after dad moved into The Cliffs though, he began telling jokes again. His usual happy demeanor returned. He was participating and enjoying all of the activities, but mostly he began to fall in love with a place filled with warm and welcoming people. Within two weeks he asked me to sell the house he had lived in for 50 plus years. He didn't even feel the need to return to it. He said he "was happier than he ever imagined he could be, with his new home and family." I will never find the words to adequately express what that meant to me as a daughter... My dad passed away peacefully last month. He had lost his ability to speak. He slept almost all of the time. And yet, whenever someone entered the room he opened his eyes and greeted them with a huge joy filled smile. He did that until the very end. You all gave him that. The unbelievably dedicated Caregivers kept him comfortable and happy during his time with you... The amazing residents laughed with him when he told his jokes and said hello to him as they passed him in the halls. Others prayed with him. Some of you didn't even speak, but patted him on the arm knowingly while he slept in the Great Room. I don't think I will ever stop missing the man that I loved so deeply all of my life. A man whose happiness I wanted to assure until he took his very last breath. With that, I will always be thankful for the small part I played in finding your "Village"... This very special place, for him to spend the end of his life's journey feeling loved. With that, I will always be grateful to God, and I will always be grateful to you. Thank you for Blessing my beloved father, and Thank you for Blessing me.

It is a lovely facility; the grounds are spacious with walking paths, two gazebos, a patio, and a courtyard. The main floor has small cozy seating areas off the great room (which is lovely for visiting), a library, activities room, and a media room with the TV (most facilities we visited had a TV on all day on the first floor.) Their "beverage and snacks area" is actually a small dining area and kitchen, which was also terrific when we visited. Activities my mother enjoyed: performers who came a few times a week (especially singalongs); Ted Talk and discussion groups; arts & crafts; and physical therapy (because it was in a very nice room with floor to ceiling windows with a nice outside view). And we all loved the holiday "events", especially at Christmas. I highly recommend The Cliffs at Eagle Rock.

It's a lovely place that doesn't feel like an assisted living facility (it feels more like an upscale hotel or a country club but does feel homey) and is well-maintained and clean. The staff is super helpful and has given us great comfort knowing she is well taken care of.

We were warned that this is a deficient facility, but were persuaded to come because it is under new administration. Aides wake her up at 6 am, though she needs only one medication per day which could be administered any time. and when she fell recently, the aides took half a day to come to help her. One serious problem is that the staff turns around frequently. Several staff members are long-time employees and get to know residents and care about them. but many are there for short stints, even just for weekends it seems. It makes me wonder if the short stints are a policy to save the company money. I have been in the 'memory care' or Alzheimer's wing, to visit my father with my mother, and there are aides there who ignore pleas for help by residents. Some are attentive and others just call out to feeble and distracted residents to 'sit down!.' We moved my parents to this facility, hoping my mother would count on the professional help that Brighton Gardens brags about in its advertisements and in the recorded message you hear while waiting, and waiting, to be connected to an aide. But I'm afraid we'll have to look for another residence and move them again. For a high price you get low level service and anxiety at Brighton Gardens.

To get decent food for mom was a fight with the kitchen everyday. The quality of the food was horrible. Even the Dietitian agreed with me. Most of the CNA's are lazy. If you asked them to do something they had a bad attitude. It got to the point that I was the topic of conversation during the staff meetings. I wasn't asking for anything that Waterview wasn't mandated to provide their residents. It is clear that if you are a hands on, concerned family member, that asks questions, you are not liked. The Administrator Lisa is a bully and the maintenance guy Adolfo thinks he runs the place (because the Administrator gives him that power). I've complained to Corporate CEO and I was told that they spoke to the Administrator, but all she did was mention it at her staff meeting, stating "they reported me, but as you can see, I am still here. God only knows how long they had been giving mom expired medication. Who else there is getting expired medication? They just care about numbers, not your loved one. I can go on and on about how bad this place is. Please....if you care for your loved one, stay away from this place.
