Highly recommend!! We booked a kayak and a paddle board, and went to the park the day beforehand and saw how windy it was. Feeling a little worried, I reached out hoping to at least switch the paddle board to a kayak, but wanted something dog friendly too. And boy did their service go above and beyond! Not only did they give me recommendations for the dog, they also went out early to confirm conditions were safe before we headed out so we didn't waste a trip. They ended up bringing multiple options and getting us in a double kayak with room for my corgi to come along and it was the MOST beautiful day. They even refunded the difference in cost. This was our second year renting with Jocassee-Keowee Rentals. We fell in love with Lake Jocassee last year and have made this an annual trip! We are from Atlanta, GA and the drive is 100% worth it! We called at the last minute to rent a boat for the same day. They were incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to fit us in. We did the 4 hour tour, which gave us plenty of time to see all the waterfalls. They provided a map with all the highlights circled. My 12 and 9 year olds loved the jumping rock. If we had to do it over again, we would remember to bring a charging cord for our phones and maybe a tube or raft. This was the perfect way to spend a day and the highlight of our trip! read more

Great experience renting a pontoon for 8 hours. Everything about the rental process and boat itself was as expected.

The boating experience was amazing, however, Stephanie was over an hour and a half late meeting us for the boat after we scrambled and rushed to meet her at the dock. She promised she would give us a $20 discount for being late (which was not much), however, when we got the billing receipt, she did not deduct any amount. Also offered to bill us for half day due to storm and didn't do that either. When I called her to ask her about it, she never returned my call. Will probably rent from Jocassee Eclectic next time. read more

We had a GREAT time on the pontoon boat we rented from Jocassee Keowee Rentals. Stephanie was friendly, helpful and patient, arriving on time and taking the time to answer all of our questions and show us everything about how to operate the boat. We wanted to see the waterfalls that drop into Lake Jocassee so Stephanie brought a map with locations circled and gave us tips on how to get there and how to enjoy each location. The boat ran great and had a nice canopy to keep us cool while we cruised the lake. The boat is dropped off and picked up at beautiful Devils Fork State Park on Lake Jocassee. Take some time to visit this beautiful park when you go. This was a lot of fun and we highly recommend it. Tip: rent 1/2 day and/or on Monday through Thursday to save a bunch. read more

We reserved a pontoon for 1/2 day. We arrived at 2:00 for a 2:30 reservation. Waited until 3:30. No show. Text her 3 times, called her 6 times. Not as much as a text or call to say she couldn't make it. Spent $40 to park at Devil's park. Very disappointed 4 adults & 2 children. Don't waste your time or vacation booking a boat rental with this company. Heard the same situation from others. read more

HELP !!! I went snorkeling near the primitive campsites 2 days ago. We went off some beach where a pontoon boat was parked. I left my really nice and expensive wetsuit out to dry on a log. It's orange on the inside and black/green on the outside. I think it is an XL OR L. I really hope somebody has this bc i just bought it and saved up for months for it. Lake Jocassee is beautiful, but if you are only seeing it from the small part accessible from shore, you are really missing out. If you don't own your own boat, you couldn't do better than Stephanie at Jocassee Keowee Rentals. We knew we wanted to rent a boat for at least one of our days at Devil's Fork State Park and researched several of the other area companies. We chose Stephanie and JKR because she had the best value. In fact, because her prices were so reasonable, we were able to rent for two days for not much more than one day would have cost with the other providers. Stephanie's commitment to customer service was also great. Since we were renting for two consecutive days, she allowed us to leave our ice chests and fishing gear on the boat overnight, even providing us with a locking cable to secure our ice chest. We have 2 adult children and one 12 year old; when I picked up the boat, I described his size to her and she provided a life vest she felt would fit him. Later, we encountered her on the lake in her own boat and she swapped the vest out with another because she didn't feel it fit him perfectly. Her knowledge of the lake is also extensive, she provided us with a waterproof map and marked the best spots for photos and swimming. We were able to find them all and they were as beautiful as she described. To see someone who runs her business with such energy and joy is indeed a pleasure to see. We will definitely come back to Lake Jocassee and we will certainly call on Stephanie and Jocassee Keowee Rentals when we do. read more

Horrible company. We made a reservation for 9:45am to rent SUP's. Couldn't locate the company on devils fork state park property. Since they told us they are not supposed to really be there we couldn't ask anyone where they were located. Once we finally got in touch with them they Gave us the run around about the guy running late and then someone supposedly stole the paddle boards. At this point it was after 11am. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!! read more

My family and I have rented pontoon boats from Stephanie and Michelle for the past 3 years at JOCASSEE KEOWEE RENTALS LLC. After today WE WILL NOT do business with them ever again!!! They rented us a boat with expired registration and out of state plates. SHADY SHADY SHADY!!! The boat also did not have all the safety features (no horn). This is how it all happened: They were running behind schedule for our 9 am rental...Although they ask for a 40min before arrival time. We were all excited for our vacation and ready to get in the water, we thought it was no biggie and patiently waited on them to get everything ready but in the end, getting off the dock was rushed. They gave us whatever boat, smaller than what we typically get for our family of 9. The boat had a smaller back to it where we normally lay down and tan. The next thing we know, we get stopped by DNR and get fined for having someone laying in the back!!! Also, we lost about 30 minutes of our time! We head back and the result is as follows: Stephanie BLAMED US for everything. She accused us for not reading the "safety videos" they never sent to us. But she was adamant they were sent and stated they were also on their website. Again, I'm a 3 prior year customer, I booked this boat for today over a phone call/text/and emails. I didn't even know they had a website. THEY DID NOT COVER THE FINE AND TIME LOST AS THEY SHOULD HAVE. Unbelievable. What a business owner- blaming and making their customers pay fines for things (in Stephanie's words) "you should be paying attention to as Captain" when all we wanted was to enjoy family time on the lake. I repeat DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE TOTALLY FRAUD, NEGLIGENT, AND LACK OWNERSHIP OF THEIR OWN MISDOINGS, IM TRUELY DISGUSTED WITH THE WAY THEY HANDLED THE SITUATION. THE PUBLIC NEAR BY OVERSEEING THE ARGUMENT WISHED ME GOOD LUCK AND CHEERED ME ON BUT IT WAS NOT ENOUGH. DO NOT LEASE FROM THEM. IF YOU TAKE A CHANCE MAKE SURE TO INSPECT EVERYTHING. read more
