Dr. Suchite was always friendly, greeted us with a smile, and made every visit comfortable with his positive attitude and conversations. Most importantly, he truly helped us heal after our horrible car accident. He dramatically improved my shoulder condition and made sure we received the proper follow-up care by recommending appropriate offices for further MRI evaluation and referring us to pain management specialists when needed. His attention to detail and genuine concern for our recovery meant a lot to us. The entire office was exceptional -- from the receptionist to the assistants and the chiropractor himself. I should start off saying everyone here was kind and they were seemingly looking out for my best interest hence, the 2 stars. After my consultation, I was encouraged to come back for 3 appointments every week as a recovery plan for my lower back injury. I provided my insurance info and was assured that my first appointment would be complimentary if any issue with coverage. Upon showing up for the next follow up appointment, I was greeted with smiles and good care. Unfortunately this is where the SCAM came into play.... They waited until AFTER my appointment to tell me my insurance did not cover their care for my injury and that I would need to pay $155 to cover the services provided. I'm appalled by these predatory business practices as they could've told me BEFORE the appointment that my insurance did not cover their services, but they decided to relay this information at the end. Please use this as a warning to receive confirmation of insurance coverage FROM YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER before every appointment at this wellness center. Definitely left feeling scammed. read more

I have had excellent chiropractic care at Jochen before. The environment is lovely; people are nice. They give you tens and heat, followed by massage, then chiropractic. The last time that I went, I was recovering from and injury and told them so, clearly. They had an alternate massage therapist working, who was so over zealous, that he re-injured my back rather severely, so much so, that the chiropractor couldn't actually do a complete the adjustment. I was in so much pain that I could not even sit up from the table without assistance. The man's massage was so brutal that I had to see an orthopedic surgeon, an acupuncturist, and start a PT protocol. I lost work because of the pain. I cancelled social engagements. It has taken nearly a month, but I am finally starting to recover from that violent massage. I am truly disappointed that no one from their office bothered to call to check in with me after their massage guy caused me so much damage. Amazing Chiropractic and Acupuncture Wellness Center, they really saved me during my pregnancy and now postpartum as well. While pregnant I had severe swelling to where you could not see my ankles, after just one adjustment the next day my swelling was almost gone and I could see my ankles again. literally the worst experience in my life with a medical professional. Up sell non stop. The chiropractor that was assigned to me was nice guy but was way too small to handle my case. Do not go there if you're over 160 pounds. When I met him I questioned if he could ajust me as i was very inflamed in my lower back. The associate they assigned to me said no problem but he was no way capable of doing that. He only tried one technique that did nothing and gave up leaving me in way more pain then i came in with. literally one trick adjustment that did nothing but cause pain and he gave up. They billed me around $500 for causing me more pain and told me come again "they are loosing me up" and wanted to bill me 3-4 more $140 plus sessions. They want $260 to have "1st" visit that they don't tell you about when booking appointment. Stay away from them like the plague if in pain like i had. I first learned bout Dr. Jochen when I was watching an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and he adjusted Kim while she was pregnant. I had always wanted to see a Chiropractor as I hold all my stress in my neck and shoulders, but had always been scared of being adjusted. But I figured that if Dr. Jochen was good enough for Kim, someone who could afford top of the line health care, then it was worth seeing if he could help me with my back pain. Flash forward, I have been seeing Dr. Jochen for the past 4 or so years. He has always listened to me when explained where my worst pain is and has always taken the time to adjust my treatment accordingly. Most recently Dr. Jochen worked with me during my third trimester to insure I was properly aligned considering the extra weight I was carrying. Just got back from a much needed appointment and I'm feeling so much better. I hadn't been in a while and started feeling my shoulder lock up, my neck ache and just feeling low in energy. I took some time to relax with a muscle stimulator and heated towels while waiting for Dr. Jochen and it felt great. Everyone at the office is so nice and welcoming- April and Mark are always so helpful and nice, as is everyone that works there. It makes for a good experience when you're feeling uneasy about having someone work on your bones ;) I also learned that they're redoing their website which is cool too. They'll have exercises there that you can reference in order to keep your body at its healthiest when you aren't able to keep up with regular appointments. Dr. Jochen has built thee best group of chiropractors in all of Beverly Hills by far! Dr. David took care of me after I got into a car accident where I suffered from whiplash, and neck/mid-back strains. After our entire treatment plan my back feels better than new! During my treatment Dr. David handled the majority of my treatment but when he was taken up the other chiropractor(so sorry I'm blanking on his name! :/ ) treated me as if I were their own patient. They also had an awesome Intern (Sina) who has the best attitude for learning how to provide the best patient care. She gave the best muscle stim treatments! When my projected treatment plan ended Dr. David consulted with Dr. Jochen for my discharge, but they chose to extend my treatment so that they can monitor me doing my normal activities(i.e.training, exercising, etc). I'm no professional athlete but I do live an active lifestyle as a climber. Hearing this gave me more confidence to push my body harder physically just like I was before the accident. This type of care is what separates excellent and good practices. They really care about the well being of their patients. Dr. Jochen has also matched this superb medical staff with a very amazing administrative staff. The ladies at the front office are very friendly and organized. I recently had the overall displeasure of awaiting progress while dealing with an inadequate and classless front desk staffer here, and I must say my experience was sub-optimal. From the very beginning, I encountered Jesse, who had an attitude that can only be described as rude and lacking empathy. It was clear that customer service was never a priority. When I called to schedule an appointment after a considerable absence due to unforeseen circumstances in my life, I expected some understanding. However, Jesse immediately became rude and unsympathetic, despite my explanation that I was in great pain and desperately needed an appointment. Instead of offering any help or compassion, she scathed me for not being there recently and made me feel guilty for something beyond my control. I patiently explained that I couldn't always control health or logistical issues but that I was ready to resume my treatment. Despite requesting an appointment twice, Jesse denied my request and suggested that I "go take some time to think about whether I even wanted to continue going here". It was an unprecedented level of rudeness and denial of service that left me shocked, as the key reason for her denying service was due to my absence which occurred primarily due to a serious medical issue/disability. When I inquired about her treatment, asking if this is policy and how everyone is treated and FURTHER explaining my medical situation that left me unable to visit, she had no valid explanation and stuttered around. It became evident that she simply wanted to be rid of me, which left me to ponder my experience, leaving me with the decision to not press the matter, but definitely voice my experience. Frankly, I'm relieved to take my business elsewhere, especially if I'm not desired as a patient. It became clear when I sought help with the lack of progress and recurring pain from the adjustments, sometimes lasting weeks, they would become defensive. I don't complain unnecessarily and even when I do, I do it consciously and with kindness, I've learned to smile and accept my life of pain overall, and I know things take time to heal. It's not my fault that I missed appointments; even when I was consistent, there was minimal improvement. One cannot be expected to visit a chiropractor every week forever, getting the same old techniques with no in depth or true time taken to really dive into things. Or return when in excruciating pain from previous adjustments, only to be unable to be adjusted due to pain (and they have no plan in this situation). Progression should be expected, and if it's not happening, further investigation is necessary. Treating everyone with cookie-cutter techniques and expecting identical results is simply unfair to the patient, to your craft, and a disservice to some. Another significant issue with this chiropractic office is their tendency to severely overbook, leading to people jumping ahead in line, favoritism games with the front desk and an office filled with coughing, hurting people and their dogs. The fact that the office is consistently running behind schedule, even with early and on-time appointments, is a clear indication of poor management and scheduling. Waiting times of 20 to 30 minutes on a weekend, despite arriving promptly, ROUTINELY, are unacceptable. Overall, my experience was hit or miss, and it was Jesse's attitude that finally pushed me over the edge. She struck me as someone who is clearly unhappy with her desk job and takes it out on (some) of the clients she feels she can discriminate with discreetly over the phone and think they won't speak up. When I called back she wouldn't give her name, because she knew she was wrong. I cannot in good conscience recommend this chiropractic business to anyone. There are certainly better options available with professionals who prioritize customer service and patient well-being. I had better results at THE JOINT. The Doc and most of the actual medical staff are pretty good people to talk to, they know their stuff, but for my body for whatever reason I'll never know, I saw no real improvements or motivation to really dive in , assess and help, and still suffer to this day. I wish they'd worked with me when I was in pain a week+ later from previous adjustments, sometimes I couldn't even stand an adjustment because of pain. Why not investigate, let me know the cost to dive deeper, do some scans or whatever is needed, instead of "just come on back next week for another adjustment".. THAT IS NOT WELLNESS, a word too frequently used in the health setting that's come to be open to interpretation I guess, rather than hold any real meaning. I regret that this was an expensive lesson to learn, but I wanted to be consistent with experiences both with adjustments and with Jesse, before making a solid conclusion. Dr. Jochen is amazing!! I've been to his office twice so far and after today he's helping me feel great while correcting my 14 degree scoliosis. I started laying on a massage table w a heating pad on my back and muscle contracting pads to relax me. Dr. Jochen started aligning my spine all different ways. He cracked my back and neck which felt amazing. I'm usually very sensitive with my neck and don't like anyone touching it because I had a spinal fusion of my 2nd and 3rd cervical spine in 2007. As soon as I got off the massage table I instantly felt the difference. My crooked spine was aligned and my body felt light and free flowing. I have more range of motion in my neck and I'm taller!! I got a massage here with a chiropractic eval. The appointment took awhile to book (2-3 weeks I believe) but the office was responsive and helped me with looking into insurance coverage. My massage was not the most relaxing massage, at times it was a little painful. I had a lot of knots and the massage therapist had to apply a lot of pressure to release and knead out my tight muscles. I have only been visiting Dr. Jochen for about 2 weeks now but I have seen so much improvement already! I have had scoliosis since I was a toddler which resulted in a back surgery fusing rods to my spine as a teenager. I've never gone to a chiropractor before now to deal with all of the pain and tightness in my back and legs out of the fear of making the pain worse, but only a couple of weeks in, I am already in less pain than I have ever been in my life. My friend had originally referred me to Dr. Jochen's office due to having lower back pain (lumbar area). I had an evaluation done at my initial visit by Dr. Jochen along with a complete set of X-rays. On that day I found out I had scoliosis. Since then, I've been going three times a week receiving a mixed therapy of chiro (soft tissue manipulation and adjustments) and acupuncture (cupping/needling). Special thanks to Dr. Behruz Yusefbekov. He is THE BEST in performing soft tissue manipulation! I've tried different massages (ie. deep tissue, other soft tissue, thai, swedish) in the past to help ease my back pain and NONE have worked. Only after Dr. Behruz' sessions do I feel a difference! Overall, Dr. Jochen and staff have all been extremely attentive, professional, and informative. Clearly the PROs overweight the CONs by far! PROs: - convenient (chiro/acupunc/massage) all in one location. Dr Jochen brings the docs to you! - accepts select PPO insurances - free parking on Beverwil - flexible scheduling and weekend hours (open until 7p, half day Saturdays) CONs: - Occasionally you may have an intern work on their soft tissue techniques. Dr. Behruz Yusufbekov is an amazing chiropractor who works in the office of Dr. Jochen. I had a car accident that left me unable to move my left side and if I tried, the pain was unbearable. I also couldn't sleep because of the pain. Dr. Yusufbekov managed to eliminate the pain and get me back to my normal range. He is polite, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He was also very patient in explaining what he was doing and why, which I always need. Now I go to him for chiropractor maintenance. Not only is this place a scam but Jochen himself is liable to get sued for implementing chiropractic services on problems that are not spinal related. I went in with a strange bump on the side of my throat. A trusted friend at the time swore it might be a pinched nerve actually and referred me to Dr. Jochen's office. Against my instincts I went in just to see (yes, the hypochondriac in me would rather believe its a pinched nerve rather than a tumor). Dr. Jochen sat me down and gave me a lot of science-stretching bullshit about how my spine was affecting this random growth on the side of my neck. He did one adjustment which aggravated it more. It went from a dull pain to a sharp pain. He claims that was normal and the salesman in him came out suggesting I come back 3 times a week for 4 weeks and it should be all better. Went to a real doctor who gave me an anti-biotic pill and the growth went away. It was just a slight infection of some sort. Nothing spinal related. Sure my dumbass is a little at fault for giving Jochen a chance and even paying to have him align me once. But I'm a stupid civilian. We are supposed to trust these people. You could come in with a gunshot wound to the stomach and he'll try to get you on a rotating alignment schedule. Huckster salesman. And a dangerous one too. read more

I think this place is a a bit sleazy and a sham. I got a 60 minute massage here, which is supposed to be worth $95, and got it for $30 on Living Social. Ok, so you really get what you pay for. But they shouldn't advertise the massage as being worth $95. It is really just a way to get you in there for your first chiropractic consult and they don't care what tactics they use. So here's what went down. I arrived at the building and had no problem parking on the street at a meter. Took an elevator up to the Penthouse. No one was at the reception desk. I arrived at 2:50PM for a 3PM appt. a woman with a bag in hand, who looks likes she's on her way out, asks me if I've been helped after 5 minutes and I say no. She checks me in hurriedly. And asks me to wait. I finally go to the massage room at 3:08 PM, with a guy, who introduces himself as the masseuse, but he was in the waiting room with me. Hmmm, interesting. He starts the massage at 3:09. Promptly at 3:54, the massage ends and he thanks me. The massage was pretty good for a deep tissue massage, he wasn't the best, but definitely not the worst, gave me more pressure when I wanted it. But it ended 15 minutes early. I check out at the desk (there is now a receptionist) and buy a stress buster ball thing. And walk out of the office with my masseuse. I ask him if he does contract work and find out that he's still a student! Dude, that is not a "$95 massage" that they advertised. I totally feel duped. First of all the massage ended 15 minutes early and secondly, find out it's a student they're using. Oh and at every turn they ask if you want a consult with the chiropractor and tell you it's covered if you have insurance. The decor of the place is pretty shabby, do not expect anything glitzy that their beverly hills address may imply. Jochen, I will never come back to you guys. You're liars. read more

I had to write a review. I was sending a friend Dr. jochen's information as a referral when I started reading the reviews and was shocked. I don't criticize reviewers, but I will say be cautious of anyone giving one star for anything. Anger is not a review. I did notice a lot of reviews for some groupon massage thing or people trying to get massages covered through their chiro benefits, but that is not my experience. I went to Dr. Jochen after a traffic accident and have nothing but great things to say. Within four visits, I felt like new again and occasionally still go for some adjustments. Dr. Jochen has great bedside manner and when I told him I don't stretch enough, he "nicely reminded" me about the responsibility I have in my own flexibility and well-being. Since I always try to be fair, I would say my only criticism is the carpet could be replaced. :) If you want cheap massages, I suggest Massage Envy, but if you are someone with real back or neck PAIN, then I strongly suggest you visit Dr. Jochen. read more

Quacks. Seriously, I'm very suspicious of these guys. My insurance covers chiropractic visits and my husband has been coming here semi-frequently since June. Since then I've seen a flood of insurance claims come through for x-rays, ultrasounds, nerve tests, etc. Seriously - thousands and thousands of dollars worth of tests. My husband is not sick - he just has a sore lower back. I don't know WHAT they're doing to him but I'm really hesitant to trust the integrity of someone who recommends expensive tests just for the sake of bleeding their insurance coverage dry. Experience #1: I got a $30 Living Social deal for a massage. I had my massage, which was deep tissue. Similar to every other deep tissue massage I have gotten, there were periods of pain as the massage therapist pushed on trigger points (and the massage didn't actually last an hour after the minutes pass when you disrobe). Unlike every other deep tissue massage, I felt terrible the next day, almost bruised. I couldn't sit back on a chair without pain! And, hoping this meant maybe she really let things loose, I hoped the day of release would come soon... but it never did. Experience #2: So, why did I go back? Well, the massage therapist up-sold me the day of my massage to another deal--$30 for a chiropractic exam and adjustment, nutritional counseling, and testing for stress, hormone imbalances and chemical toxicity by Jochen himself (services valued at $350). Sounded like a deal... So, I bought it. The day I went in, 30 minutes had passed when I decided to ask the receptionist when I would be seen. She said they were a bit backed up but "soon". Meanwhile, about eight other patients went in before me, six of whom had arrived after me. When another patient complained of her wait, the receptionist said she would get her massage and adjustment soon because "Jochen would be leaving at 1pm for lunch." Given it was already past noon (and 50 minutes in at this point), I asked to reschedule, since I predicted my session would last quite a bit of time. But, she assured me that there would be enough time to see Jochen. Finally, at an hour past my appointment, parking time ticking away, they called me back to an exam room. Five minutes later, "Dr. Mike" came in. Given the wait, I didn't complain about the fact that the massage therapist said I would be seen by Jochen (also verified by the receptionist). Instead, I just let Dr. Mike know how ridiculous of a wait I had. Dr. Mike kept this place from having one star (and almost convinced me to put up three) by being completely sweet and understanding and NEVER giving me any excuses for the wait. 5-star personality! Then, he proceeded to do an adjustment, which seemed fairly good--gentle but productive, as I did feel a bit looser (3-star). At the end the adjustment, Dr. Mike was going to leave, but I reminded him I was due more than an adjustment. He left to ask Jochen about it, and Jochen returned in his place. He apologized for the wait and explained that it wasn't usually this busy and then asked if I'd like to purchase a package. He also stated that the people who went in before me were regulars in need of quick adjustments, which told me that he valued pleasing eight patients over one--as if that would comfort me, THE one. Either way, I reminded him we were to discuss nutrition, stress, hormones, and chemicals--not packages. He explained, as his daughter waddled in all cute (but unprofessionally), that he usually only does these services if called for, such as for people working in the chemical industry or going through hormonal changes. So, why the heck was it offered to me?! And, why was it listed on the voucher of a Groupon-like site without such an explanation?! I said, "Fine, skip the nutritional counseling and stress testing, for I can read up on that stuff. But, let's figure out hormones and chemicals, for I have reasons to be concerned about these things, even if just because I live in LA (chemicals) and drink tap water (hormones)." At this point, he noted that he can't actually test for hormones (!!) but could write me a lab referral. Instead, he offered me a pH test, which I could do at home with leftover paper from a bio class... Then, I pushed again for chemical testing, and he obliged to letting me do an ionizing foot bath. So, I went out to feed the meter, and came back for an ionizing foot bath using a $3,000 piece of equipment that was supposed to pull out chemicals, though I felt no different at the end except for cleaner feet. But, I was happy to hear Jochen speaking to his staff about how to better deal with long waits and annoyed patients, so 1/2 a star for that. And, then I left... Bottom line: Great people who can provide good services (e.g., adjustments), but BUYER BEWARE: they falsely advertise for discount deals (e.g., they don't even do hormone testing) and have to really be pushed to honor their deals. read more

We went here on a Friday afternoon using a coupon we got from Living Social like an earlier reviewer. The massage is a 1-hour deep tissue full-body massage. What we got though was a half-hour, not so deep, upper body massage. We had a better more relaxing massage at a cheap chinese chair massage at the mall. The place is OK though and the staff are friendly but a bit brutal. When we asked why we did not get the full hour, she (the masseuse) kindly said that because we came in at lunch hour (2 pm) and everyone was late coming in, we had to start at 2:30. My jaw dropped and i said it is not even our fault, they just said they are sorry. They could have treated the customers from Living Social better and they could have expanded their market. If i payed the full price for this i would have been furious and demanded a refund. Instead i'll just make sure everyone i know won't go there and put up a review of their bad service. read more

Terrible service. I ordered a Groupon months ago and scheduled an appointment, but the day before the appointment, I called them and they said they did not have me on record. So I decided to make the appointment some other time. I called countless times but they never picked up. I also left a voicemail but they didn't return my call (and I had been waiting for a month). I recently called again (and they actually picked up, big surprise) and asked to schedule an appointment. They said they no longer take Groupons and told me to contact Groupon support for a refund. I ordered this Groupon back in January and I'm speechless at the fact that I've never gotten to use their massage session once because of their beyond poor service. My right leg has always been about 2-3 inches longer than my left, and I never thought anything of it. I was an athlete my entire life, and never had good posture. I always had lower back pain, but was so used to it, that I didn't even realize I was in pain. Dr. Jochen and his team found answers quickly, and made me feel comforted by my diagnosis. They are always so welcoming, and want what's best for their patients. Every time I go in for an adjustment, acupuncture, and deep tissue, I leave feeling like I can do a backflip (I can't do a backflip, but I sure do feel like I could...lol)! I guess it's good that I didn't read yelp reviews before I went there. My experience was actually really good. I met Dr Jochen - really good looking guy. We talked for a couple of minutes. He didn't try to up sell me. He suggested I try an adjustment which freaked me out a little so we stopped and I proceeded for my massage. My masseuse Carlos was exquisite. The first 10 min was annoying because the massage was super light and slow, more of a caressing, but after that I probably got a best massage in years. Carlos was focused and meticulous. If I had a complain it would be that the room was very cold and half way through the massage the music stopped playing. And that was some good music! More of a Cafe Del Mar type then Asian spa / birds chirping sounds that annoy the hell out of me. And my massage was actually longer then an hour. Which I really appreciate. Hands, feet, head, everything. But then again I was the last customer of the day... read more

Amazing place. I was introduced to Dr Jochen by a friend and it was my first time seeing a chiropractor. His whole team was friendly and professional. I had a very bad neck and shoulder pain that had been lingering for about two weeks, it literally had me in tears and so I went to see Dr Jochen. It was the summer holidays and i had no child care for my regular visits so I brought them with me and they were so accommodating. Not only that, after just two weeks of various treatments, chiro adjustment, acupuncture and massages - I'm fixed. I even went camping for a week after and was still fixed. They're amazing there and I couldn't recommend them enough. read more

This place is run by scam artists and half of the staff knows it. They are unprofessional, dishonest and unsafe. Not only was I injured due to their lack of care during a procedure but they also tacked random procedures onto my bill (that I definitely didn't have) and then wasted a ton of my time claiming the charges couldn't be removed until they 'caught up' on their billing which ' could take a few weeks'- WHAT A JOKE! I was referred to Dr. Jochen by my boss. I would get an occasional adjustment if he ever came to see my boss for a house call. He is the nicest guy and incredibly personable and friendly. It's obvious from the beginning that he's an expert at his craft and genuinely cares about helping you heal your body. Yesterday was my first time in his beautiful, clean office after a day of the worst pain I have ever experienced due to some really tight muscles and a pinched nerve. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but this pain was no joke and had me on the verge of tears. His team was so helpful and made me feel as comfortable as possible. They recommended I try a natural muscle relaxant called Formula 303. It's amazing how effective these little tablets are. I'm not one to take pain killers as I personally hate taking medicine since I feel it interrupts the process of natural healing, so it was really nice to find something natural that works (#nomoretoxins)! Today I am almost pain free-still a little sore here and there but I have come a very long way in the past 24 hours! Near the end of 2013 I had my back go out and was unable to walk or even stand for very long. I'm very wary of the medical establishment as they tend towards upselling drugs, test and procedures like used car salespeople. But as I was not able to get out of bed and move around on my own I was desperate. I sought the aid of a neighbor who is a chiropractor and she helped a bit but was unable to keep the pain away for long and I was not making any progress toward health. She recommend that I go to someone with a traction table and that is how I ended up at Dr. Jochen's office. When I started I could not stand without major pain and I barely hobbled into the office. After the first treatment I was nearly in tears from the relief in pain that he was able to give. I did a few more weeks of intense therapy (3days a week) and was able to go back to work. I kept up with that treatment for a few months after and am now down to a monthly adjustment and check in. My wife has also started a regimen with this office and I will write about her progress once she has gone through the process. I'm very appreciative to Dr. Jochen, Dr. Lee and their staff for getting me back on my feet without using drugs and without the runaround of tests and appliances. He does offer supplements and various tools but does not give you the hard sell as I have experienced at other offices. If you have chronic back pain or an acute injury I can without reservation recommend this chiropractic office. I have only used the massage services once and will attest to their quality once I have more experience. read more

After many emails and phone calls Stephen Jochen agreed to reimburse me following the lack of clarity and misunderstanding regarding my insurance coverage. As much as this is appreciated I would really have preferred not to deal with this whole situation. Once again I would advise you to clearly states which insurance you accept as in-network versus out-of-network. As a future patient of Mr Jochen I would recommend you to double check the coverage with your insurance prior to visiting their office. read more
