I'm new to hmos. But during the two years I saw her, the only thing she did for me was write referrals. No exams. No prescriptions. No help. Just referrals. So, pretty useless. Never called me to follow up. Once I requested a change in a referral doctor, she blew her top. Screaming and throwing papers. Obviously she was a bit mentally unstable. At that point I decided not to return again. This doctor is obviously exclusively educated in treating geriatric patients who have very simple reginimes that can be easily controlled by their referred specialists. Levy doesn't seem stable or competent enough to handle any challenges. I found her overall demeanor cold, distasteful, and judgey. read more

After seeing the great reviews on Yelp, I chose Dr. Levy as my PCP. Getting an appointment with her is difficult seeing that they DO NOT answer their calls. I tried calling 4x within 3 days and finally got an answer on my last try, but was placed on hold for quite some time. When I asked to schedule an appointment, the receptionist asked if I've been there before and if I have a PPO. I stated that I have an HMO and listed Dr. Levy as my PCP. She questioned me as if I was a child. "Is Dr. Levy your doctor?" "Yes." "And is Dr. Levy listed ON YOUR CARD?" Where else would I have gotten the contact information? Basically, this office isn't worth the time or effort. It shouldn't be so difficult to get an appointment and the front office staff was just plain rude. There is another review that "isn't recommended." I suggest reading that since the general demeanor seems consistent with what I experienced. read more

I took both my parents to Dr. Levy (they need me there to translate), and was very impressed by her caring nature and professionalism. Although my parents have HMO, I can see that she spent more time with them than most PPO doctors would. I have had PPO for a long time, and all of the Doctors I have seen never spent that much time with me. Dr. Levy is very nice, patient and caring. She even remembers a certain health problem my mom had 3 months after her appointment, when I took my dad to her office for a check-up. I totally feel comfortable, and trust Dr. Levy with my parents' health, knowing how caring and knowledgeably she is. Due to the amount of time she spends with her patients, I think it is reasonable to accept the fact that she would run late sometimes. I think there is a trade-off there. I would rather wait longer to see a good doctor than get an on-time appointment with some doctors who do not care. read more

I have been with Dr. Levy for 18 years. Since Aida and then Heather were her assistants. Now it's the lovely, helpful and very sweet Samantha. I can't begin to express how awesome Dr. Levy is. She takes her time with you. You never feel rushed. You almost feel bad for the patients that are waiting (ALMOST lol). Which aren't usually many. They don't overbook and I'm sure her patients can agree that they will get the same attention. If not, then find another dr. I love her, my husband loves her, my daughter loves her and now that my boys have turned 18, they will also love her. I don't know what I will do when she decides she wants to retire!!! read more

Dr. Levy has been by far the best doctor I've had. She's very attentive, patient, and willing to hear you out. I've received nothing but support and guidance from her. I just got off the phone with Dr. Levy's office. I have never experienced such nasty service from a medical office, and I visit 25+ medical offices weekly for work (legal industry). I recently chosen Dr. Levy as my primary care physician through Anthem Blue Cross and called to make my first appointment. The phone was ringing for about 10 minutes, and then a female answered and she was very snippy and rude and just plain nasty and hung up the phone on me as I was trying to make an appointment. read more

Dr Levy is an awful provider! She was referred to me by a friend and had warned me that she is always running a bit late but waiting for over an hour both times i saw her is ridiculous. And both times there was only one other patient in front of me. Her office is disorganized with patient folders on the floor and on top of desks. Borderline HIPPA violation.. The office is dated with no tv, no music piping in and drab magazines so when you are sitting there for over an hour its torture. My last visit she was running late of course and making phone calls from the front desk and she never once acknowledged me even though i was the only patient in the waiting room and had been patiently waiting to get in. She wanted to run some blood work and told me she would get back within a couple days. She never did. I waited for a week and then I called her for another week to get my results. When she finally called by and gave me my diagnoses she told me to look it up on the internet like she couldn't be bothered to go over it with me. Told me if i decided to try the medication to call her back. I waited a week and decided to try the medication. Called her office on Thur morning, 2 times on Friday, once on Sat and paged her 2x. I had to call again on Monday and her assistant finally got her on the phone and the first thing she said to me was "This isn't an emergency!" She said she would call the prescription in later and when I asked why her assistant couldn't fax it over she said we don't do that, I call in all prescriptions myself. So if you value your time and your health find another Dr. She's not worth your time. read more

Oh my goodness I cant understand the negative reviews! Dr. Levy has been our doctor for the past 10 years. SHE SAVED MY LIFE!!! If it wasnt for her persistence with my HMO insurance company for an MRI we would never have found my breast cancer last year!!! She is so patient kind and caring, she has to be with my husband who has such a hard time managing his health! Yes her office wait can be long, but from the doctors (onco/obgyn/plastic surgeon/mastectomy surgeon) Ive been seing since my diagnosis what office doesnt have long wait times?? Dr. Levy is so very thorough, very pleasant and so easy to work with. My daughter and I both have her and she has gone extra lengths to help care for my daughter's health concerns, especially as she comes back and forth from college across country. Dr. Levy interacts with the other doctors my daughter has and we are both very pleased. She pays close attention to detail and follows up on tests to double check matters. The office staff has always been extremely courteous and is great at getting answers to matters when I need to call. The doctor has also followed up well after her office hours to get test results back to me. I have been seeing Dr. Levy for about 10 years now and she is, by far, the most attentive and thorough doctor I've seen. She listens, asks questions, gives whatever referrals may be needed, reviews my old ailments and explains to me what is going on. She does what she can for me in the office, but if my issue requires involving a different specialty doctor, she will refer me. When she gets results back from tests, she calls promptly, oftentimes on a Sunday night! I feel like she genuinely cares for me and she remembers things we've talked about in other visits. I really, really love her. (I want people to be aware tho that she often runs late, so it's best to call and check. Even then, there could be a wait. But it's just because she is giving her total attention to another patient. And I'm ok with it because I know she's going to do the same for me.) read more

She's our family new Doctor and so far so good. I needed an appointment on Friday afternoon for the "pink eye" since my eyes were so red and itchy and she was able to see me @ 4.00 PM. The wait time was horrible, more than 1 1/2 hour , but at least I got the right medication for my eyes right before the weekend, not going to the URGENT CARE for such a small health issue. I really don't understand the love here. There are a couple of reviews that parallel my experience with the physician and this physician's office that show that it's not isolated or a one-off circumstance. I know and understand that people have bad days, but to see others have such similar experiences I think this just might be how they operate. First off, the office itself remains in the 20th century with narrow capabilities to practice in higher tech demands, such as electronic files and medical records, processing credit cards or electronic communication. While this might seem "homey" and old fashioned, it can hamper both convenience and access to vital information. Secondly, the practice is disorganized. Their scheduling isn't well tracked and wait time is ridiculous despite being the only person in the office. I waited over an hour for my appointment, again being the only patient in the office. While waiting I observed staff that were gossiping. It was incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable. By the time I had gotten into my appointment, the doctor was condescending and wouldn't allow me to explain my situation. I have worked as an advocate in health care the vast majority of my career and it seemed as though this doctor was not interested in a patient that asks questions or questions things, as I would counsel any of my clients to do and be. The most appalling statement came in the form of advice for addressing an obvious skin reaction to metal; she said that I don't have an allergy, which was a valid medical opinion, but that all I needed to do was go out and buy a new engagement ring and wedding band. Luckily, my new doctor offered better advice and connected me to the correct professional and have since resolved it. Lastly, the practice started to send me bills for my visit. When I received it, I called the medical group and doctor's office to understand it. I also connected with my insurance company. All parties agreed and assured me that it was an error and I should not have received a bill and that it would be resolved. So, thinking I finally severed ties to this doctor, my comfort quickly turned to concern when I started to receive bill after bill. At first, I thought maybe there was processing time for them to resolve the matter I was assured was resolved, but the bills continued. Finally fed up, I opted to just pay it and be done, since history proved that I couldn't trust this office or medical group. A bit angry and frustrated I sent my payment (again they only accept checks) with a letter of complaint which was returned to me and accompanied with a letter stating that she does not want me back as a patient because my complaint was hurtful. I guess the truth hurts. I think her response to this clearly illustrates that she does not take any responsibility for what transpired and would rather blame me. It's fine, she's entitled to her opinion. There are so many doctors out there, find someone else. read more

This person is ridiculously careless and can hardly deserve to be called a doctor. It was my first time visiting her. The door was closed. When i knocked on the door she did not open. She did come out 5 mins later and told me i am in wrong place and she doesn't have appointment with me. She asked me to show my plastic insurance card to see if she is my doctor. After seeing her office phone number (i figured it shortly after) she still told me she is not my doctor and she doesn't have an appointment with me. She told me she is on lunch and she will be back in half an hour. When she left I started dialing the number on the insurance card and sure it was her phone number. So, i waited for her to come back. After she came back, the first thing that she did when she saw me was rolling her eyes and telling me with that mean face "you still here?". I then got a little frustrated with such carelessness and asked her to check her appointment book to see if my name was on the list. Only then she cared to asked me my name. A minute later she came out and said that it was my lucky day, I am on her appointment book (Wow, thank you doc!). She then made me wait forever in her office and during that time she would occasionally try to make fun of me with her assistant. Assistant being smarter than jody levi tried not to reply to her stupid remarks but i could almost see how hard it was for the assistant to keep it professional. Only after i gave this jody levi dirty look she stopped and went back to her room.
