    My home collection is growing!

I'm in love with this locally owned ultra premium olive oil shop! They sell the freshest olive oil I have ever tasted. Seriously, come here and sample some olive oil, then go home and taste what you have in the pantry; you will be shocked at the difference! I can't believe I was cooking with and eating that rancid stuff! The staff is wonderful. They will help you with suggestions with combining olive oils with the balsamic vinegars. My favorite oils are basil, mushroom & sage, and smoke. My favorite balsamics are lemon (white balsamic that tastes like fresh lemons), traditional (aged 18 years), and espresso (surprisingly fantastic on salmon). I love the extra burst of flavor these oil and vinegars add to my cooking! The store pours your oil fresh into the bottle size you select which is great because you know you're getting what you just sampled! (Balsamics are poured fresh too.) I highly recommend this local delight.

This is the best place to sample pairings of olive oils and vinegars. I come here for myself and for gift giving. It's always a nice experience. If you're new to the store, owner or staff will educate you on all that goes into making olive oil and how best they are paired. I love sampling! ... Some of my favorites are cayenne oil shaken with raspberry balsamic, basil olive oil with balasamic, sesame oil with honey ginger, so many interesting variations. Bring your bottles back for $1 discount. Check out the recipe cards, too.

Once you taste joe and sons' olive oil, you won't go back to store bought ones. They have large variety of infused olive oils, award winning extra virgin oils, vinegars, dips, pasta products, local honey... My personal favorites are wild mushroom & sage EVOO, truffle oil and blackberry ginger balsamic. Knowledgable staff, excellent service and delicious oils and vinegars. Feel free to try different combinations of olive oil and vinegar.

The gentleman was very knowledgeable, and offered samples of various olive oil & balsamic vinegar. He was super helpful with selecting the right flavor profiles based on use and preference. It was part of a birthday gift to my husband (which included chocolates). I didn't have to go far since both stores were in the same location. I loved all the flavors that were selected for him. Especially the garlic one. The basil olive oil and lemon balsamic were also great choices. I wanted to get the Tuscan Herb, but I wasn't sure if he would like it. I loved that all 3 items were placed in a cute gift sack. It was small enough to be a stocking stuffer. It was a great gift for a husband who never wants anything, but likes to cook. He loved it! Next time, I need to spend more time looking at the olive wood accessories. What a great place for charcuterie lovers! Yes, it's more than just olive oil. It's definitely worth a stop if you're at International Plaza.

My husband and I are big fans of infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars. When you use them to prepare meals, they taste like you have made some wonderful recipe when all you did was drizzle an infused oil and/or an infused balsamic vinegar over the food! The oils and vinegars are delicious! You can sample whichever flavors you prefer. There are something like 20 different oils and 20 different vinegars. Infusion is when you soak the oil or the vinegar for days in an herb, or in a fruit, or whatever you want to flavor it with. These are natural flavors that soak into the oil or vinegar, rather than flavorings added to the oils. This is the secret to their utter deliciousness! So for those who want to eat healthfully but blissfully and satisfyingly, THIS is the way to go! The owner is very sweet, too, so that makes it nice to go through the store and try some of the flavored oils and vinegars. The oils and vinegars come in many sizes, and some would make great stocking stuffers, others would make great gifts for those who love to cook or for real foodies. ENJOY!

The food simply isn't on the same level as other Italian restaurants in Tampa. We ordered the bruschetta as one of our appetizers, and it was disappointing. The bread was barely toasted, there was no mozzarella, no balsamic drizzle--just plain bread with chopped tomatoes in a bowl, and not even Roma tomatoes. My chicken parm was equally underwhelming. It came as two chicken breasts with sauce and cheese, but they weren't pounded thin and they weren't breaded! I'm Italian, and this is definitely not authentic chicken parm. They mentioned having a chef, but if that's the case... he must of been off that night!

From the awkwardness at checking in to the disappointment with the food, we leave dissatisfied which is unfortunate. The parking is tight but we were able to find a spot. Walked in and nobody at the front so we waited and someone did come. Not really welcomed, just walked up and asked for our name. Gave our reservation name and time. We were a bit early. Told to hang at the bar until the table was ready. We just sat upfront. Made it to the table and seating was tight. I felt like I was in the conversation of the party next to us. Service was ok - server was polite and professional. Took our drink and food order but really didn't check back in on us frequently. The valentine menu included a starter, a soup or salad, a main entrée and a dessert per person. I ordered the artichoke dip as my starter, tomato soup, the blackened mahi and for dessert, the chocolate mousse cake. Artichoke dip was the winner of the evening. It was very good and plentiful so we actually boxed and took home to enjoy. The tomato soup came out next and was so salty that it was not edible. The soup and the artichoke dip sat on the table for a while before the waitress came over to check in on us. When she did come over we advised we wanted the artichoke dip boxed, but the tomato soup was overly salty, like the container of salt fell into the soup. The individuals at the table next to us agreed that the soup was not able to be eaten due to the salt level, the server basically apologized and said there was nothing that they could do given it was a set menu, which was very disappointing that they did nothing to either resolve the issue or offer a salad in place of the soup give we could not eat the salad. Since the meal was prepaid, they should've done something to fix, but the messaging was basically like oh you're SOL. Like I took your money now deal with it. On to the mahi -- it was supposed to be served over coconut lime rice however it was more like a firm block of mushy porridge. Like the rice, maybe had been sitting in water or something all day not sure but it was gross and it had no flavor. The fish was also overcooked because it wasn't flaky and I think that it lacked flavor as well. I ended up boxing it and not even eating it whenever we got home. I think the trash can enjoyed it more than I did. We were full and basically over the experience so we got our desserts to go. Hubs ordered the poundcake and I ordered the chocolate mousse cake. Got home, put everything in the fridge except for the desserts, sat down on the couch to enjoy our desserts and mine was missing!! I had a takeout container that had the whipped cream and a little thing of chocolate mousse in it but no cake. WTHeck man!? It was icing on the cake or the cherry on top for the evening we experienced at this point. Let's just say that based on all the reviews for this place, we expected better and were quite disappointed. Especially for the cost of the prefix menu. I truly believe that a higher quality should've been had given this was one of the busiest days of the year to win people over.
