Hello Jay and hello Luigi. Your time has come. I went with a party of 10 and they did great on getting us in, staging us and then sitting everybody with 10 plates, silverware and menus. Alright cool. Overall. The inside was nice, felt good with a ridiculously tall ceiling. I did hear a CRAZY remix of MLK's I have a dream speech in the bathroom (I'm being so serious. The server even heard it with me) but what a pull, still processing it. Drinks and food were all put in, this moved quickly and that made everybody happy. Food came out, I got carbonara with sausage (idk why I chose it but I did) I really enjoyed it. Cleaned my plate, filled me up. Didnt wow me but for sure did what it needed to do. I can't complain. I'm upset with you YELP, I wanna give these folks a 3.5 but I can't. 4 feels really high level but 3 seems too low. A bummer but that's ok, we move. Thank you Jay and Luigi. I appreciate your service and taking care of everybody.

Jay Luigi is located in the Heart of Soho. They provide indoor and outdoor seating options. They also have a bar seating available for a customers. The restaurant is decorated nicely. My friend, and I enjoy the Margherita Pizza. They allow you to choose or thick crest. The flavor was delicious! We also ordered the vodka pasta. It was definitely tasty, but the portion was quite small for the price.

Tomato Vodka pasta GF & CHARRED BROCOLINI (GF, PB, V, DF). This was delicious!!! So yummy especially for being GF!

The pasta was the perfect amount of creamy and savory. The gluten free fettuccini was so delicious! I loved the shrimp with it too. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and service was great! The inside of the restaurant was so cute and I can't wait to go back!

My first visit to Jay Luigi was on a Wednesday evening in March as a fun group of 6 ladies for a pre-show dinner. One gal had made a reservation for us; we were able to be seated early, in a cozy comfy booth, even though not everyone had yet arrived. And our server Christina was fantastic! Most of us ordered from the Happy Hour menu, including several Pistachio Espresso Martinis. We also shared a plate of Daily Bread with extra virgin olive oil, plus all the sauces (pomodoro fondue, house-made ricotta with honey, and butter with olive oil). Their house-made sour dough bread was amazing, and each sauce was so good & perfect for dipping. Because I'm indecisive, I ordered the Chicken Parm Sliders and Jay's Caesar Salad, both from the Happy Hour Menu. The sliders were built with the same sourdough bread made in-house, and each bite was well-proportioned with sauce, cheese & thick pieces of chicken. And to be blunt, I'm still reminiscing about that Caesar salad. It was so fresh & delicious! Either dish would've been plenty for me as a meal, so I shared with the other ladies, and still had left-overs. We parked for free on the street (Howard Ave.), directly across from Jay Luigi, with no issues. And we left the car there to ride in one vehicle going downtown for several hours, again with no problems. The restaurant offers valet parking but I'm not sure of any other self-parking options. I really enjoyed the ambiance & food at Jay Luigi! Bites shared with me from the other dishes were just as tasty as what I'd ordered. The Happy Hour menu has a few more things I want to try, along with some dishes on the full menu, so I definitely plan to return.

Grabbed a 5:15pm reservation on a Sunday. We were sat inside at a 2 person table that was about 12 inches from another 2 person table. While we don't typically mind being seated near people, these girls we're particularly excited and louder sharing stories etc and I was having trouble hearing my own thoughts of what to order so we requested a different table and were graciously sat outside instead. We had a much better experience for the rest of the meal. Food-wise, we ended up sharing a simple cheese pizza with some meatballs and some rigatoni pasta with the garlic sauce. We also had to get the famous 100 year old yeast made sourdough which was amazing! Loved the pizza with some ricotta on top. Meatballs were juicy and pasta had a subtle cheese taste that wasn't too heavy. Tried out the pistachio gelato as well, wasn't quite the flavor we enjoy but the creaminess was very quality. Will be back to try out brunch.

Love Jay Luigi, especially their happy hour from Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 6 pm. They have $12 pizza and pasta and great happy hour cocktails, including an espresso martini. I've been here for both happy hour and dinner, and it never disappoints. Service is great too! When the weather is nice, I love sitting out on the patio. You really can't go wrong with the pasta and pizza. I especially liked the Jess Knows Best and the cacio e pepe. What I ordered: - Jay's Caesar: romaine, radicchio, dried black cherries, Marcona almonds, house-made croutons, crumbled egg yolk, grana padano - Jess Knows Best: truffle honey, goat cheese, mushroom, caramelized onions, thyme - Cacio E Pepe: spaghetti alla chitarra, cracked black pepper, panko breadcrumbs, grana padano - Chicken Parm Sliders: crispy chicken, sourdough bread, pomodoro, fondue, mozzarella - Not Your Nonna's Tiramisu: mascarpone panna cotta, espresso, chocolate, ladyfingers

Six of us met for lunch at Jay Luigi. Why there? Because I let Yelp reviews guide me. And that turned me into a hero, because everyone loved the place. The inside decor was bright & inviting. Our waiter did an outstanding job & was full of personality. Great service. And of course, the food was excellent. I ordered a sandwich & salad lunch combo. My sandwich was chicken parmigiana. The chicken piece was large & succulent. The breading & sauce & cheese were perfect tasting, & the focaccia bread that housed the sandwich was amazingly tasty. The salad was very good as well, although there was nothing too remarkable about it.

I had heard that this place changed over to JL and heard it was doing quite well, so I'm a little late to the party here... Our loud group of 6 were seated in a booth and had Your Daily Bread - it was FABULOUS. Don't skip this...with all 3 spreads! Also had a short thin pasta with a slit in it, I can't recall the name, but the vodka sauce was fab. The meatballs were amazing as well. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. Service with Christina was perfect, on par and super friendly. She enjoyed our group as we were a fun group... We will definitely be back for more!

The pasta at JL is sooo yummy. Love the cacio e Pepe, alla vodka, and carbonara. The bread app with whipped ricotta is a must try! They have an amazing happy hour and service is always great. Love sitting at the bar such a great ambiance.

Went here with my girlfriend for lunch, and honestly, I had dreams about the sourdough from this place...it's that good. You can truly taste the love and care that goes into making it. The restaurant itself is adorable, the service is great, and most importantly, the owner is incredibly hands-on and genuinely friendly. Not in a surface-level way, but in a way that makes you feel like you've been welcomed into someone's home. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and intentional. Highly recommend, this place is special.

This place absolutely lived up to all the TikTok hype. The pasta was worth every bit of the praise. Perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and clearly made with intention. You can taste the quality in every bite. I also enjoyed the espresso martini so much!! Definitely try and catch this place during happy hour. The atmosphere felt cozy and intimate. When a place is talked about this much, you hope it delivers and Jay Luigi definitely does. I'll be back.

We went early on a Wednesday night and did not realize that they have jazz every Wednesday on the patio. It was a nice touch as we walked up. We entered and checked in at the host of stand and regretted promptly and sat right away for our reservation at 5:30. Our server Nicole was extremely pleasant and gave us absolutely fantastic recommendations. They have happy hour on food and drinks until 6 PM which we were unaware of as well before we made the reservation. It was a very pleasant surprise. The happy hour is not only on drinks but full sized menu items that include appetizers and entrees as well as drinks. We took advantage of the situation in order our cocktails before 6 o'clock. I opted to start with the lemon cello apeol spritz and ended with the pistachio espresso martini. That may have been one of the best espresso martinis I've ever tasted it in my life and I've been to Italy to drink them! When I say do not pass up on the trio of dip for the focaccia bread- OMG-this sounds like such a simple appetizer, but it is done with precision and elegance, and the dips are absolutely amazing. We did take most of the bread home and put it in the air fryer the next day it holds up to a restaurant quality standard. We also ordered the chicken Parmesan and the meatball sliders. I will say the chicken Parmesan sliders for exceeded the meatball sliders. The meatballs needed a tad bit more seasoning for my liking. Because her eyes are bigger than our stomachs, we ordered three entrées between the two of us . The carpe de Pepe pasta, the margarita pizza, and the Sweet Jamie Kay pizza. When ordering pizza you have two options to get fluffy area dough or a thin crisp dough we chose both pizzas to be fluffy and airy type. The pasta was served al denti which is not my favorite, but nothing was wrong with the dish. The sweet Jamie Kay pizza was absolutely mouthwatering. The slight drizzle of honey paired with a type of meat on top of the pizza makes me want it every day. We had plenty leftovers to eat lunch the next day . Taylor was stellar in her service and the ambience of the restaurant was very authentic.

I have visited J. Luigi for happy hour on a Friday afternoon around 4:45. My husband and I were able to get really great seats outside and were served almost immediately. The outdoor seating has a great vibe! The happy hour at J. Luigi is very good with a couple of pizzas, pastas and salad salads on the happy hour menu as well as a wide variety of drinks. I always get the super Tuscan wine, which is six dollars on happy hour. The pizzas are $12 on happy hour and are quite the bargain. I definitely plan on returning for my usual pizza, salad and wine combo! The pizza crust is made with sourdough bread and I normally don't like thick crust pizza but I do like it here. I like the thin crust too!!

We were a group of 5 and waited about 10 mins for a table (no reservations), but that gave us time to scope out the menu. The Luca Salad is not to be missed. It's got kale, romaine, radicchio, Marcona almonds, dried black cherry (YUM), and a cashew-balsamic dressing. This salad was a fan favorite with our group and I've been thinking about it since! In terms of the pizzas, we enjoyed the Sweet Baby Jane (tomato, house-made mozzarella, soppressata, and calabrian honey) with a thin "NY-apolitan" crust. We also got the Jess Knows Best pizza (truffle honey, goat cheese, mushroom, caramelized onions, thyme), but we got it with the "taglio" tall and fluffy crust. All of the crust options are made with naturally fermented sourdough and we were a split group on the favorite crust type. The toppings were a perfect blend of savory, sweet that hit every note we wanted. The pastas were -chef's kiss-. Our fave was the Creamy Tomato Vodka- which had a touch of heat, but totally doable for a heart-burn-prone gal like me. Lastly- we got the Limoncello Cake and the Tiramisu. Both were completely devoured, but the tiramisu is something speciaaaal! They bring it out in a baking dish and serve you at the table. I almost asked "how much for the entire tray??" When I went to go check what happened - they gave my order to someone else without checking their number since I still had my buzzer number. Once they remade my order, it was the wrong pasta type and cheese. I was starving at this point - so I just took it. Once about halfway through the sauce ended and the rest of the pasta was watery. The only reason why I got midway through it, was because I spent $21 on one plate and I was starving. Staff did give 3 free meatballs and a tiramisu to make up for the inconvenience and that did help. I don't like tiramisu so my boyfriend ate it and he said it didn't have a lot of flavor and threw it away after a couple bites. I spoke to other people waiting for the food and they also said it was a long wait as well. I don't know if they had issues with the system or if someone was in training. They said the fettuccine was out but I saw like half of a tray on the counter? Not sure if that was meant for online orders or whatever but it was in poor taste to leave it out as it lead to disappointment. Two stars for the free meatballs as they had decent flavor, sauce was fine, lukewarm (that is being generous) even though they had JUST SERVED IT. Won't be coming back.

Ever since going to Armature, DalMoros has always been a staple for my family. One of the cool things about DalMoros is the fairly simple menu and selection path. You pick your pasta and the sauce to go with. This is always desired compared to a super extensive and overwhelming menu. The pasta is always a hit with the little ones. The most recent combination was the penne and cacio e pepe - just the perfect base flavor compared to the tangy and sometimes spicier options. When it comes to freshness, freshly made pasta at the site appears to be one of the pillars of the DalMoros business model. You can't go wrong with this as it is cooked to al dente perfection. As others mentioned, there usually isn't a line - and if there is, the staff is able to manage it fairly well such that you can place your order and pick your made-to-order meal within a relatively good time. Would definitely recommend DalMoros if you're ever feeling up for Italian, or just want something hassle free for the kids.

Yes, there is tons of food made in the US too but it's a good variety. You won't find everything that you find at a standard grocery store here. Off the top of my head I couldn't find Greek yogurt, cottage cheese or nut butter, but what you do find is spectacular. For specialty Italian items, the selection was just good. I did find guanciale and pancetta. Honestly, I would rather go to Mazzaro's or Moschella's. A fresh produce, meat, fish, sausage, pickled olives, section. You walk further down and Theres the grab and go food section. Then to the left you have wine and cheese. You go further in, and Theres a fancy cheese section. Unfortunately they don't give small amounts of cheeses and cut it for you. But you can buy some really good cheeses here. Then you go back to the very narrow hallway, and Theres a ton of coffee on the left. I just got into coffee and am a coffee snob. I noticed there was a "greasy" looking bean. Which just means it's well past its freshness. The price of bean actually isnt that bad. And they offer a lot of varieties. Anyway...We got two kinds, Guatemala and organic Mexico. I wanted to try it out before writing this review. The Guatemala one was light, faint. Which tells me the bean is stale. No longer fresh. The Mexico was a deeper flavor but also on its way out. I would recommend to management to better advertise the coffee bean so the product moves and stays fresh, or maybe move it to a different section where people can feel comfortable getting it. It gets so crowded in the hallway. I would leave the hallway was a grab and go area. Or, I would sell what you have at inventory and limit the options to the top sellers. You keep walking down and you have the coffee shop to the right, and a small bread stand to the left. Of course we got coffee. Theres a small area of seating to get coffee for there. Theres a big roaster to give the appearance that they roast their own coffee but I believe it's just for decoration. Fiancé got a cappuccino. It was okay. He normally doesn't get coffee with too much milk but the waitress said there was 3 shots of espresso in there. I would say it didn't taste like 3 shots. It taste like coffee with 90% milk. And it should be told to customers that a cappuccino there is more milk with coffee. I got the con panno. Which is espresso with whipped cream. I'm not sure if the whip cream they use is fresh, or if it's super sweetened, but my coffee was sweet. It was thick which I like but I didn't like whatever sweetener they used. But I'd probably order a macchiato if I ever came back so I could taste the coffee. On the other side of the coffee shop is the sandwiches and prepared food that you order. Sandwiches are HUGE. Fiancé had the #1 with all the fixings. It was nice but if you don't like soggy sandwiches, you can ask for no veggies. Which we would do next time. I had the 7, no sun-dried tomatoes and no veggies. It was so good. The mozzerella was very fresh! If you walk past that you have the dried cured meat, and down a hallway to the right you'll find dried pasta and fresh pasta. The fresh pasta looked so good. I wished we lived in the area so I could try. You head back the other way and pass the outdoor seating and Theres also a place for you to check out you grocery/sandwiches. Right next to that section you have the pantry area of canned fish, pickled things, olive oil. Then Theres the bread and pastry area. We only had time to see these and no time to see what other stores they had or walk around. But I'd definitely come back to check those out.
