We had to try the table side chicken parmesan everyone has been talking about. It did not disappoint! It was the size of my plate so needless to say, I had leftovers. We also ordered the truffle fries which were the best I've ever had. The aioli served with them was delicious. We shared a side of rigatoni and although good, it was a bit heavy to go with the chicken. Next time, I would get it with spaghetti. Gianna was our waitress. She was super sweet, attentive and made great suggestions. They were busy but efficient. The place is like what you'd expect in South Tampa. The tables are crowded in there to maximize how many people they can accommodate for reservations. As far as the table side chicken parmesan, we were told it's only on the menu until the end of September. This seems crazy to me because it's what drew us and many of our friends in. This is a place to be seen for dinner. Definitely make a reservation because this place was crazy busy on a Wednesday night. We booked a reservation about a week out and there were no spots open until 8 PM. When we got there at around eight it was incredibly busy. We were finally seated at 8:11 PM, but service was very efficient so it still didn't end up being too late at night. This is a reminder for future Christina, get the Isabella passion. I didn't think to get it because I usually don't love gin but I tried my friends drink and I absolutely loved it. I got the Siboni smash, which was also good, but the Isabella passion was better. My friend got the lemonade, which really does just taste like alcoholic lemonade. For appetizers, we got one of their specials, which was an eggplant topped with burrata. It was very good. We also got the goat cheese that was stuffed in a pepper. I definitely did not envision it coming out like that when we ordered it, but even though I don't like peppers, I thought the tastes complemented each other very well. For our main, we got their viral chicken Parm, where the cheese is poured on the chicken Parm tableside. We got the Cacio E Pepe for the pasta side dish that it comes with and then we got a second dish of halibut. Both were pretty good. The pasta actually was not my favorite. The chicken Parm is not healthy, but it was delicious. I thought the halibut was OK. We opted out of getting dessert. Service was fantastic. I felt like my water glass was always full. It is mainly Valet since they have a tiny parking lot, but the valet is free, which is nice. The decor is beautiful and we saw tons of people celebrating special occasions. Ambiance is awesome- upscale with an open garage style ceiling. Some people dressed up, others more casual. Service was superb. Our waitress was very attentive, kept our water filled and checked on us at just the right tempo. My husband ordered a side which was delayed about 15 minutes. Everything about this restaurant is fabulous! Jake, my waiter, was amazing in every way. The atmosphere is active. It's not necessarily romantic, but it would be a great restaurant for a date. It's a little bit on the louder side. My food was AMAZING. I always judge Italian restaurants on their Chicken Parmesan. I travel for a living, and I have it in EVERY Italian restaurant I go to. What an amazing experience. Went here for a business dinner on a Wednesday night. The place was packed. They have free valet so that's a major plus. There wasn't a single table open so it was fairly noisy but not so much that you couldn't carry on a conversation. We started with meatballs as an app. There were 3 to a serving and since there were 4 in our party, the server added a 4th. Nice touch. For my main, I got the viral internet sensation - table-side chicken parm. It was so good. Like - amazingly good. There was something different about the cheese - I swear I tasted cheddar. Excellent. Pasta does not come with it to I added as a side. They have a variety. I also got their Brussels as a side. They were some of the best I have ever had. The wine selection is vast and varied. Went here for our anniversary dinner. Our server was great and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered the Brussel sprout appetizer and it was probably some of the best Brussels we've ever had 10/10. My husband ordered the bolognese and he said it was average a 6.5/10. I ordered the short rib agnolotti and added steak tips, it was delicious 9/10. The drinks were well made. I was excited to visit the Tampa Olivia restaurant for brunch as I enjoy the St. Pete location. The dining room is bright and beautiful. My party was celebrating two friend's birthday and was immediately seated at our reservation time. Kate our server was super helpful and friendly. I initially ordered the prime burger and asked for it to be well done. Once I received my plate, I was ready to dig in and decided to cut the burger in half as it was so big. Good thing I did because the burger was totally rare on the inside. In the meantime, I decided to eat my side of couscous and discovered there was hair in couscous. I informed the server and she took the dish to the back. The manager did come to the table and was apologetic about the undercooked burger. I decided to order the chicken and doughaffle, instead of another burger, which was cooked to perfection. I would come back for that dish alone. read more

This is me and my husband's favorite date spot, we just took the fam here for Father's Day brunch and it was fantastic, yet again. We've never had a bad experience at Olivia. I tend to always order the agnolotti - it's my favorite dish and it's so good every time. My husband tried the new table side chicken Parmesan and he loved it - chicken parm is one of his favorite dishes and he said he really enjoyed this. Another fav of ours is the goat cheese sformato - it's delicious. My husband doesn't even like goat cheese and he LOVES this as an app. The olives, tomatoes, the oil - it all just meshes so well together, it's so good. My mom ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, she enjoys her traditional pasta dishes and she said this one was yummy. Our servers have always been so attentive and friendly - we've never encountered bad service here. I do recommend making reservations in advance, even just for a lunch or dinner date because I feel like every single time we've been here it's packed, every table taken. Went to Olivia after reading about it for a while and it did not disappoint. Beautiful setting although much louder than expected. Our server was excellent and advised us of her recommendations, which were spot on. We started with the garlic bread, which was unique and delicious, probably the best we've ever had. We also tried the brussel sprouts and again some of the best we've ever tried. My wife loved the arancini as well. But the star of the night was the viral chicken parmigiana, which was massive and delicious. I added a side of cacio and pepe pasta to finish off the dish. The attention from management was also top notch as they knew we were celebrating our anniversary so they brought a glass of champagne for my wife and non-alcoholic drink for me (I was driving) I even received an email from the general manager the next morning. We had a fantastic dinner at Olivia and our waitress, Cierra, made the experience even better. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Even though she was juggling a lot of tables, she never made us feel rushed and was always there at just the right time. Her recommendations were spot on. Our table of four ordered the arancini, yellowtail, and burrata to start, followed by the tableside chicken parmesan, the bolognese, and the short rib ravioli. Every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared. We finished with the tiramisu, molten chocolate cake, olive oil cake, and the apple dessert, and every dessert was worth saving room for. One pleasant surprise was the value. With four adults, appetizers, desserts, and drinks, our total bill was only about $380, which felt very reasonable for the quality of the food, service, and overall experience. This was my first time visiting Olivia in St. Pete - we were seeing a show at American Stage early afternoon and had wanted to go. I had visited the one in Tampa, which I enjoyed. The food was very good, but the service was a bit slow. I would leave more time in the future if I was going to see a show as it became a more leisurely breakfast/brunch experience than we had hoped for. I would definitely go back though - the food was high-quality and tasted good! I would also want to go back for dinner. The atmosphere is bright and trendy -- a really good spot for a Sunday morning brunch. We enjoyed the wild mushroom crostino with poached eggs, the avocado crostino also with poached eggs and the goat cheese sformato (which is actually an appetizer but plenty for breakfast/brunch if you wanted something delicious but not too heavy). If I could give OLIVIA 4.5 stars, I would. Overall, we had a fantastic family brunch. We made a reservation through Resy and were seated promptly. Our server was outstanding from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and never overbearing. As a parent of a 3-year-old, I have to give the staff a huge shoutout. From the moment we walked through the front door, everyone made our daughter feel welcome. Whether it was greeting her, giving her high fives, or checking in with her throughout the meal, they truly made her feel included. Any parent knows how much that can change the entire dining experience, and OLIVIA absolutely hit a home run in that department. Our server, Travarious (I think I spelt this right) was amazing. For food, we ordered the garlic bread, truffle fries, Margherita pizza, Agnolotti, Bucatini, drinks, and finished with the olive oil cake (substituted with raspberry sorbet and mango). The garlic bread and truffle fries were excellent, and the Margherita pizza even earned an enthusiastic thumbs-up from our 3-year-old, which is about as honest of a food critic as you'll find. My wife loved the Agnolotti, and I really enjoyed the Bucatini. The olive oil cake was very good as well, although a little sweeter than I personally prefer. We originally wanted the tiramisu, but with a 3-year-old at the table, we decided to skip the espresso dessert and chose something everyone could enjoy. The atmosphere was lively for a Sunday brunch. It was definitely busy and energetic, but never so loud that it became distracting. It felt like everyone was simply enjoying a relaxing weekend meal. The reason this isn't a full 5 stars comes down to two things. First, the pricing felt just a little high for what we ordered--not enough to keep us from coming back, but enough to notice. More importantly, we specifically made a reservation expecting to be able to order from the full menu. We arrived around noon and found out only the brunch menu was available. I couldn't find that restriction mentioned on either the restaurant's website or on Resy. Had we known, we simply would have booked a later reservation. That said, we genuinely enjoyed our experience and would absolutely return. Next time, we'll just plan our reservation around the dinner menu. If you have young children but still want an elevated dining experience, OLIVIA deserves to be on your list. read more

Olivia's is one of my favorite places to celebrate my birthday--this was my third year in a row, and I still absolutely love it! The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, and the wait staff is always great. Our waitress this year was amazing--attentive, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. We ordered four appetizers, and everything was delicious. My all-time favorite is the burrata, but the Parmesan bread is a very close second--so good! Their pizzas are always good , I myself went with the filet mignon, and it was perfectly cooked. The only thing that would make this place 100% perfect is the noise level. We had an amazing girls night here on Thursday night. It was definitely packed. Despite the busy restaurant service was so fast and friendly and so attentive with table wipe downs in between courses . We made a reservation early for 530 parking lot was small, but they have complementary valet, which is so convenient. They have a special vegan menu and vegetarian options as well and the drinks were awesome as well. I got the strawberry Fields mocktail, which was perfect. We had a table for 8 for brunch a few Sundays ago and this was a meal of gluttonous proportions. I believe we ordered all the apps. Literally all of them. We got the Waffle Bombolini that came with a chocolate and caramel spread. These were more like cake donuts that looked like waffles and probably should have been our dessert. Very tasty. The meatballs were solid, the truffle fries were perfectly crisp pillows of heaven, and then there was the garlic bread. I could write a 1000-word essay on this garlic bread. This was by far the best garlic bread I have ever eaten. The bread was crisp on the outside, slightly doughy in the middle with slivers of fresh garlic and tons of butter. Phenomenal. After chowing on all of this for a while we ordered entrees. 3 of us just decided to split 2 pizzas: The Soppressata and the Honey and ham. The honey and ham was by far the better of the 2 with that salty/sweet combo. The Soppressata was pretty good but I didn't like the chili powder flavor on a pizza. Visited Olivia in Tampa for a special occasion. Major letdown. I responded to the manager's email a couple of months ago to share our disappointing experience, but we never received a reply. The place looks nice. We arrived for our reservation at 8:45 pm, hoping to avoid some of the crowd. Nope! It was very loud and busy! Inside also looks nice, just very noisy. Unfortunately, the food was all disappointing. The service started well but declined to the point of being ignored by the end (my fiancé and I both spent several years as servers, so we are empathetic, pleasant, and patient). We really had high hopes after reading the reviews. But after talking with several other couples since then, they all said the same thing: the Tampa location isn't good, but the St. Pete location is great. We started with the Coccoli Fritto, which was nothing special, so we wouldn't recommend it. We also ordered the Wagyu Carpaccio, which was okay. The Wagyu was good, but there was just so little of it. I forget what it was served over, which might indicate it was underwhelming. For entrées to pair with the Pinot Noir, we had the squid-ink pasta and the Agnolotti. My fiancée didn't care for the pasta, but I thought it was okay. It's definitely al dente if you want it otherwise. The portion was on the smaller side, and on a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 6. Nothing to write home about. She got the Agnolotti and said it was good. I did not care for it at all. I bought $100 in holiday gift certificates to get a $20 bonus gift certificate. I spoke to the manager at length around 4 pm to make sure I could use all $120 in GCs that night. When I tried to pay, they wouldn't accept the $20 gift certificate. I informed the server of the manager I spoke with earlier, and all the details. He took it to a different manager who never visited us, didn't care about the earlier confirmation, and denied us its use. I don't want it to go to waste, so I guess we'll try the St. Pete location next time we're in that area. Fingers crossed! We recommend going elsewhere and are putting far less faith into the whole Michelin Star system (not our only Michelin disappointment recently). read more

I was not impressed with this place. My lobster was really overcooked. I did not like the fettuccine as it was hard. The added scallops were amazing and so were the appetizers but the amount of time we had to wait so long to get our food was just not impressive to me and I got charged $32 to add the scallops to my already $39 meal which I was not told upfront and thought was really unfair and wasn't told that when I ordered it so not really happy with this place. Our server told me that their waffle maker was putting charred material on the waffle so if I wanted I could switch to bombini's with the same topping. 5 minutes later he said there was still one good waffle available.
