I randomly selected Ballor towing after waiting for over 3 hours with AAA, with no response in the app, except to say they were experiencing delays and that they were trying to connect me to a service. We were locked out of our running car, so I decided to call Ballor, on my own. Sue, the dispatcher, was extremely kind and understanding, sharing it could be an hour or more, given the cold weather and number of service calls in front of us, but she felt bad for us and said she would do her best to prioritize us, given our situation. I got a call back from her within 10 min to say she was able to add us to a route, and that a truck was in bound from about 10 miles out. The roadside tech arrived within 15 min and had our car open with 60 seconds. He then offered to stay to help me push our car out of the snow if I needed help, knowing a toe or hook-up would be overkill and not needed. I was able to free up our car and we were on our way. So, thank you, Sue and Ballor team! Start to finish, fantastic, friendly and compassionate experience. NOTE: I cancelled AAA in the app, which then prompted them to call me for the first time in nearly 4 hours. When asked why I cancelled, I laughed and shared Ballor bailed us out and kept in regular comms with us, throughout the process. As much as we all hope to avoid needing roadside service, I feel good that I now have a reliable, very reasonably priced, local team to help me and my family, when needed. I got stuck in little bit of mud so call this company out and it didn't even take 2 minutes of there time and screamed it will be 250 and they try to pull my truck 20 feet more after it was out and were very rude and swearing at me treating me like I was trash on the side i would never recommend getting your vehicle towed by this company read more

Company vehicle was in an accident in the Romeo area, Joe Baller towing removed the vehicle from accident scene and stored vehicle. Can only say that maybe Washington County or Township uses them as one or several for accidents. Towing companies in my mind, current personal & work experiences, aren't in the business to beautify our unfortunate meeting so we get what we get. I have nothing negative to say, they performed to our satisfaction throughout the process of retrieving personal items and towing/delivering vehicle to its final destination. Truck radiator hose broke after 6pm.Tiffany took the call and had a tow truck out within 15 minutes. We were charged a fair price and everyone was very nice. We will refer to friends and definitely use them again. read more

The management of joe ballors is by far the most unprofessional and uncaring to the people they are suppose to be helping. I had them come help me on the side of M-53 when i ran over a screw to put my spare on for me. the man over torqued my lugs on the bolts and i have pictures to prove it and then blamed it on us saying "we didn't know how to take the tire off properly". when my fiancé was an assistant manager for discount tire for many years. they did not want to listen to our compliant, help us find a solution so i could get my car back on the road so i could drive to work, or take any blame whatsoever! All we asked was for the mechanic to replace our studs so we could put the tire on properly and they said "sorry this is not on us your fiancé went right and not left". that is beyond insulting and i will never ever do business with them again. a real business would've refunded the tow because clearly he did more harm than good, send his mechanic when the car we parked to fix their mistake and we would've been totally happy. or even just fix it and not refund us. absolutely such a poor display of customer service dodging our phone calls and not wanting the deal with THEIR problem!!! If i could give negative stars I would. absolutely pathetic and luckily my fiancé who "turned the wrong way" was able to fix their careless and reckless mistake by their "trained professionals". thank you for the headache to an already stressful situation and costing us more money and time. never call these people when you need help!! Brittany did not want to help us and mike who deals with complaints didn't even want to talk to us on the phone because he knew they were just blowing us off and not wanting to deal with their own mistakes since its much easier to just point the finger and not take ownership. next time i will take the chance myself and replace my own tire. keep it up and you people won't be in business long! read more

Rude, Rude, Rude, rudest tow truck driver I ever met, my fault car got impounded because I was driving without insurance, but the police officer said he could give me a ride to a gas station, he said I couldn't put some personal belongings of mine in his truck, it was some clothes in a plastic bag and a small lunch box, I asked if I could set them in my car that was getting impounded, he said no, set them on the bed, I said they will blow away, he said not my problem, didn't want to lose my stuff so I ended up walking about 2 miles before my wife picked me up, rudest person I ever met, wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy, pretty rough with my car when he loaded it also, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Can't wait to see what happens when I try to get it out, just put about 4 thousand dollars into redoing it mechanically, not trying to cover up for my bad decision to drive with no insurance but you'd think that people who own a business that revolves around helping people would be a little more helpful, or compassionate, the driver literally told me, "your not putting your shit in my truck" what a great guy, F-ing pathetic. Doesn't look like you guys are strangers to bad reviews either so I guess this probably won't matter, but just remember, every dog has thier day. God sees everything. read more

They are very rude and very unprofessional. Made every excuse just to charge me money instead of just towing it. Even when I explained my car was smashed by a deer which it is obvious. They claimed it was worked on even though AAA was able to get another provider to do it. The driver was very quick to give me a price in cash. Likely one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. Review is more so for the company and AAA, not as much for the driver. Dispatcher was rude, inconsiderate and not empathetic. First driver took off for another accident just before putting my vehicle on tow bed. I understand the importance to clear an accident but don't say "I have to go now because that's where we make our money". Just inappropriate. AAA was no better and did not help. I needed a ride to the dealer so I tagged along with the driver in the tow truck. Second driver was on his phone much of the time, while driving, looking for Lord of the Rings music, to which he sang, loudly, during our ride. THEN went on a political rampage discussing how when he is president what how he will remove Congress & the Senate, who will be "jailed" based on a "socially engineered national event that is tragic, declare a national emergency, become the dictator, etc...". I have this all on video - a 10 minute video! Gave 2 stars because I made it safely to my destination but it was a 4 hour ordeal that could have been completed in less than 60 minutes. Tow company should get .5 stars, if that. Shame on this company for putting money before people. read more

We are trying to get a vehicle towed from my yard on Sunday we are told that they were open 24/7 according to the internet and yell and when we called it were very rude that kept telling us that they were on the way and after waiting for two hours we discovered that they weren't even on the way that the owner was at his house not coming yet when I try to talk to the lady at the phone number she was extremely rude would not let me talk hung up on me several times would not listen was very very rude I've been in business myself for thirty-some years and I've never ever had somebody so rude to me on the phone before it is a disgrace read more

Very helpful and friendly staff and driver. When you need a tow late at night it's nice to have a friendly, helpful voice on the other end. As it turned out I was able to wait until morning when their rates lowered. I set up a tow time for 7 am. They called me at 6:45 am to let me know the driver was on his way. Worst experience I've ever had with towing, driver told me he didn't have enough gas to tow my vehicle.

I have to give this place a "As good as it gets!" I don't know much about towing companies but I do know a bit about excellent customer service and that's exactly what I got from this place. It was snowing this morning but not a lot, I was over confident in the roads and spun out went airborne and landed in a ditch missing a telephone pole within two feet. Of course after gaining composer I realized I was not getting out of that without help, I called Ballor as my GPS told me it was the closest one, a driver was there within minutes and despite the fact that I was noticably shooken up, he was so kind, patient, and took control of the situation all the while constantly reassuring me that at least I was "okay" and making sure I was focusing on the bright side of the situation which was exactly what I needed. Then a nice little bonus, when I went to pay, he recogonized my last name and realized his father works with my husband. So this "kid" was super nice to me without knowing who I was which let me know that he's like that with everyone. Kudo's Ballor. You have a gem with this one. He represents you well! read more

Terrible service. This company is money hungry and doesn't give a crap about customer service. After a bad accident (that was someone else's fault) my dad was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. He told the police that he wanted his vehicle towed by Pauls collision of Almont. The cop told him he had no choice but to use Ballor towing. After being discharged from the hospital, he attempted to go back to get his belongings out of his car. They told him it was going to be an additional $40 because it was 'after hours' even though there were people there and actively working. They also gouged him an additional $215 to keep the car overnight. (like he had a choice) Then, the next morning he sent my brother to pick up his belongings (now that it's not 'after hours') and they refused to let him. (My dad is black and blue, extremely sore from the accident and has no car to get there) My dad couldn't even give him permission over the phone to get the stuff. They have the same address, last name, and car insurance. I have ALWAYS heard bad things about this company, and I guess it's all true. Word of mouth is a powerful thing. I was stuck in the snow. I had a family medical emergency and had called 911 from the car. The street had been plowed by the time the tow truck came. He pulled me forward about 6 inches to where it was plowed and charged 75.00 for that! I think that charge is too much!! He was a nice guy, but the prices this place charges are excessive!! read more
