Great coffee, quick service, and yummy baked goods! Joe Beans is a little drive through coffee shop with two service windows (one on each side). We were visiting Virginia and looking to get a quick coffee to start our day. We were fortunate to find this little place. There was a long line of cars on both sides which was our first indicator this place had great coffee. We were super impressed by the flavorful coffee and delicious muffins and scone.

Fast and friendly service. I ordered the mocha. Espresso was a little lackluster; even Starbucks does a better job. Unfortunately, I got a few sips of pure chocolate syrup on the bottom of my cup. I'd probably return to try their standard brewed coffee, but espresso drinks will be a big no.

I've been to Joe Beans three times within 48-hrs because the coffee was so delicious! This is a classic drive-thru coffee shop or house located down the street from Liberty University. When its busy they have some of the staff come outside to take your order, so I guess you got to know what you want. There are menus posted on all sides of the coffee house but it maybe difficult to see at a distance. Joe Beans does the foundational items well: drip coffee and espresso. From there for the non-purists, they have a list of flavors to choose from to make your coffee experience one of a kind. They also offer pastry goods from Cinn City (which is also yummy) but I didn't order any from Joe so I can't speak to the quality. Customer service was good, not amazing but good especially considering COVID and all the stress that comes with drive-thru, forward-facing (contact with people in the flesh) situation. Overall, quick, decent quality and moderately priced cup of joe!

Some of the best coffee and pastries you will find. We happened to see this place on a road trip and stopped for a quick pick me up. We grabbed two custom coffee's and muffins and devoured everything. It was truly delicious with no sugar added on my part. I will always stop by this place on the road this place is unforgettable.

I love Joe Beans, but I think the employees may need better/longer training..? Every time I visit there's someone completely different working, and the quality of my drink is just never consistent. Some days they'll get it just right and it'll be delicious, and some days my coffee will taste super watery. I just wish I could always depend on having the same experience when I visit! read more

Joe Beans is definitely my go to coffee shop in Lynchburg. As a mom with two little ones the drive through is really convenient since I don't have to get everyone out of the car. The service is always fast and friendly at this location. Their coffee is great and not overpriced like Starbucks. I love their flavors of the month. I've also had the Chai Tea Latte (hot and frozen) and hot chocolate and both were very good. Over all if you do t want a sit down coffee shop Joe Beans has the best coffee at the best prices! read more

Driving through Virginia on a trip, we wanted to stop somewhere for some coffee. First off, it was nice to go somewhere that wasn't a convenience store!!! My dad got an iced cappuccino and I got a peach smoothie. Both were DELICIOUS! They had a fairly extensive selection and the workers were extremely nice. If I have the chance to stop here again, I definitely will. read more

Love Joe Beans! They have great coffee for cheap! The one thing I wish is that they had more central locations instead of further down on wards, way down Timberlake...etc. Make sure to keep up with your punch card and check out the flavor of the month! read more

Every time I go, there is a line. Makes me wonder what's in the coffee. Doesn't matter - the coffee is amazing and wakes me up and the 4 or 5 cars in each direction will all have their drinks in no time at all. This place keeps Lynchburg awake and the drive through is so much more convenient then walking in to a crowded room of MacBooks. Love some Joe Beans read more

On a trip from Manassas back to North Carolina via Hwy. 29, I was getting drowsy. I needed coffee, any coffee to continue my trip safely, so when I saw the sign for Joe's Beans, I stopped. But this was not just any coffee - it was outstanding coffee. And since I drink a lot of it, I do know good coffee when I find it. Joe beans coffee is fresh and refreshing. They always have polite smiling staff. I go there for the organic coffee and the amazing espresso they serve. They have a wide variety of different coffees, smoothies, tease, juices, and a whole bunch of different breakfast snacks you can think of even oatmeal. The one thing I really enjoy about this facility is that they always have different flavors and different types of coffee for people to try every couple of weeks so there's always something new to taste. There is no parking it is a drive through coffee house but the service is fast I've sat in line probably no less than 3-5 minutes when they've really been backed up. In my opinion they have the best coffee in all of Lynchburg and the surrounding counties. read more
