Joe Friday Billiards "Just the facts, ma'am" was a watchword in my getting to know this no nonsense company. I knew that I wanted a billiard table in my home. The decisions required were overwhelming and mistakes would be very costly. I had a vague idea of what I wanted, but did not know how to express these desires. I originally started looking for a new table. There are few options in the Omaha and surrounding area. My online search immediately brought up Joe Friday Billiards. Robert is an amazing person. He freely gives his honest opinion, for which some people might find brash. In one of our phone conversations I remarked to him. "You are very good or a bullshitter". Well, I can honestly say that I know that Robert is very good at his job. He is almost a perfectionist. He is no bullshitter!!!!! Robert did a great job with our 100 year old snooker table. We were refinishing it and hoping to have it playable by Christmas. Timing was tight, but he went above and beyond to get it set up before Christmas. He stayed well into the evening to complete the job. He was knowledgeable, meticulous and did a quality job. The table plays beautifully and we couldn't be happier. After a terrible experience getting the table moved by Solo, who simply subcontracted to Alkar, who then walked off the job stating it was too much, we were wary of the installation. Robert was great! He was local, familiar with the table, the challenges of it and focused on providing quality work. While some people might find Robert a little brash, we truly believe he is just an honest, no nonsense person. Don't let the negative reviewers sway you. He's a good guy who is good at what he does. We had a great experience! A month ago we bought a pool table at a great price! We got to pick the color of fabric we wanted. Before you even consider buying one, he asks all the right questions like 'How much room do you have?', just to make certain there are no problems when they bring it. They came out when it worked for us and put it together for us as well. It looks awesome and definitely would buy from them again, if ever we need another one in the future. I created a YELP account just to write a review on this joke of a company. Whoever owns this place is the worst person you could imagine to do business with. After asking if it was possible to get a pool table moved before Christmas, it's a longshot I know, but it's also my right as a potential customer to ask, The person on the phone, probably the owner, proceeded to berate me for a good minute on how ridiculous that was. I kindly said that he didn't need to be rude about it, and he began going off again on how I started it by asking such a stupid question. Then he said that I could try other movers if I wanted and hung up on me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You can find other movers in the area who actually act profressional. Hey Joe - if you want business, treat people the right way. Recommended. Needed to have antique table taken down for carpet install and reset shortly before Christmas. This is busy time for table install and delivery, but they agreed to the job, were on time and worked efficiently. An antique presents a lot of problems, but they did a terrific job. They were knowledgeable and were honest in their assessment and work. Would definitely use them again. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GUY!!!! Owners name is Robert Johnson, He goes by Robear813. I have NEVER been treated so rudely by anyone in my life. I thought I was on hidden camera or in an SNL skit. I called in regard to an add on Craigslist, and then asked for the best deal he had in his inventory as I am the single mother of two teenage boys and every penny counted. He said he really didn't have time to look at his inventory and he hung up on me! (We actually spoke for about 10 seconds before he hung up on me). After I called back, I suggested we got cutoff. He assured me that we were not cut off. He told me that he did indeed hang up on me because he did not like me! He told me he made enough money that he didn't have to sell to anyone he didn't want to and he refused to sell to me...and hung up on me again. Seriously!!!!
