May 2022 I was rear needed I'm the interstate. At that time, my vehicle was 7 months old (2022…read moreToyota 4 Runner). While I live closer to the New Orleans area and purchased my vehicle in Kenner, due to Hurricane Ida and coming out of the COVID Pandemic, body shops had a 2 month plus turnaround before they could get you in the shop. I was able to get it within a week by going out further (an hour from my home) which wasn't a huge deal for me since I worked a couple days out the week in BR and I was provided a rental. The back hatch/truck lift had to be completely replaced and I've had nothing but problems with it. I took it back about 4-5 (lost count) times, and the team was very nice and tried to identify the problem. One time they even put me in a rental to keep it but each time I got it back it continued to make loud noises which sounds like it's coming off the hinge. I took it to my regular dealer while there for routine maintenance and they indicated it was the hatch. In fact I never told them it was in an accident and that it had been replaced but they knew immediately. Since, I've called, emailed, and completed a form on their site to be contacted. Craig, the manager called as he was also one that inspected and rode with me to hear the sound (which everyone seems to hear) but doesn't know how to fix. I've rode with a shop manager, mechanic, and another gentleman whose roll I don't know. After my last call/email, Craig assured me someone would call back and get it resolved, that was over a month ago and I still haven't heard from anyone and it still sounds like my truck is falling apart. It's really disappointing that they aren't honoring their lifetime warranty on the service/parts. Two other body shops have looked at it and identified the same problem but won't touch it ad they'll have to charge me and they worry it may void the warranty. They even wrote it up for me to bring it back to to Team. From a cost perspective, they were comparable to other dealers, however it was paid by filing a claim with my insurance company Progressive. I now understand why Progressive doesn't have them as a preferred body shop. I'm hoping they can make this right so I can update this review but I'm not optimistic and definitely won't refer them or take another vehicle to them.

The problem was that the insurance company never physically inspected my car--they only looked at photos--which is why I was told to go to Gerber for a real in-person estimate. However, when I arrived, the receptionist told me that a second estimate would likely be even higher than the one insurance had already given me, and therefore would not take a look at my car. I left feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. Not the experience I expected. I just went further down Siegan to Collision Works, who took me in without a heartbeat!! They had such an amazing attitude and highly recommend going there instead.
