Got quotes from several different body shops in town. For such a small about of damage and considering the frame was not affected I was shocked at how much the repair was going to be and how long these shops wanted to keep my vehicle, some places said it would be as long as 2 weeks. Came across Burbank Pant & Body via a Nextdoor post and decided to go by and get a quote. Bruno gave me a very conservative, extremely reasonable estimate. My car is 10 years old and I didn't want to spend a lot of money making unnecessary cosmetic repairs. I needed it to be safe to drive and to not look terrible. Also, I was paying out of pocket and did not need to go overboard painting the pieces on either side of the fender or replacing the bumper just because it had a scratch on it. I just needed the fender and the headlight replaced. Bruno understood this and was great at discussing all the options. He was also the only shop to suggest purchasing the fender and painting it ahead of the full repair so he would only need the to keep my car 1-2 days! Music to a busy momma's ears! Once the fender was painted, I went to the shop to approve the paint match - it was spot on! The entire repair was completed in one day. Notice a little issue with the bumper after the repair was completed. Took it back and was remedied while I waited. Service after the sale! Already referred another friend and she was very pleased as well.

She didn't even greet me when I walked in--so dismissive. 2. I had to come back FOUR times... they had my car for a total of SIX WEEKS. When I came back the last time to get my car, it was on a "test drive," even though they told me to pick it up days prior (it's not exactly easy to run to Florida Blvd with work/ coordinating schedules to get a ride). Like, why are you taking it on a test drive NOW????? I had to wait 30 minutes for him to come back from the test drive. And I'm supposed to thank him for being "thorough"? ---- also test drove it for over 50 miles, who do you think pays for that gas? 3. No one mentioned they were waiting on a cosmetic part, so they called me to come back a few days after I picked it up the first time. WHO HAS THE TIME?????? 4. They left a big black handprint on the cloth interior of my car... 5. I was told not to be outside alone because there just happens to be 30 homeless people on drugs outside the building. The owner, Vu, is nice and was understanding of my problems, but that honestly doesn't make up for all the distress this experience has caused me. We felt super rushed in the finance department. Which ok, not a make or break it. But when I called 51 days after purchasing my vehicle (because my check engine light came on) to see what the protocol was and to see what type of warranty I had. They lied to me and told me "I did not have any sort of warranty and that sorry it's not their problem". I then went and looked through the book of pages I had to sign. Well turns out I had a warranty. Called the warranty people, they informed me not only did I have a warranty but a good one at that. So upon looking into that and clarifying what my warranty covered I called Allstar back and let them know that after I looked up what a blinking check engine light meant and let them know I did in fact had a good warranty they slipped in on me, they needed to rectify this situation and they would need to come tow the vehicle because it couldn't be driven. They still insisted I didn't have a warranty and it was still my problem. So I eventually got on the phone with someone that helped me SHOUT OUT to them. And said they found my warranty info. And said if I can get the vehicle to me they'd fix it. Cool. Got it towed to them. They fixed it within a week. GREAT! But their customer service is LACKING on phone calls. I was dealing with both the north and south locations. I can say the manager at the south location was very sorry for how I was treated. And helped me out greatly. Too bad you can request her when going into purchase. I felt she genuinely cared and was concerned how I was treated. Props to her. I fell like if I wasn't lied to multiple times from different people, I would have given more stars and a better review. Just be weary when you go to buy and watch what you sign.

There's nothing really wrong with the 2001 S10 I had. She runs and will pass inspection, but I just felt like it was time for bigger and better things. Mike King greeted me with what I assumed was a smile behind his mask. He had a friendly, easy going demeanor which was welcomed after my weeks of internet searches followed by intrusive calls from out of state dealerships, pushy in person salespersons looking to "get me in the driver's seat today" and email after email. A casual "whatcha lookin' for" was like the sweet sound of wind over the prairie to me. We spent some time looking around and talking about what I needed and drove a couple vehicles. The "all new" Blazer seemed nice and was a good deal but there was just something about it that didn't appeal to me. I thought the Honda Accord would be the ticket because it was completely decked out and the price was prettier than cold glass of water on a hot summer day. But, alas, I couldn't even turn the steering wheel without my arms hitting my legs. The ponies these days just aren't made for a big fella. Then we found it. Shining like the North Star. A 2020 Chevy Traverse. Used. Fleet Vehicle that was properly maintained. Low millage. Huge gash down the side. DOH! "We're going to take care of that. Don't you worry. If you buy this vehicle our body shop will be fixing that up, directly". Great, I thought to myself, I get to come back and deal with the service department. More on that later. The Traverse drove like a dream and was so big inside I could easily imagine myself cruising down the road in total comfort. After some discussion with the little lady I bit the bullet and told Mike King that he did it. He convinced me to buy this vehicle. In reality, he did very little but that's what I needed. The fact that he didn't ride me like a bull until I conceded defeat and instead provided me with the information I asked for and the access I wanted until I made the decision on my own was very refreshing. Ask for Mike King for your Used (or new) vehicle needs. The experience at the finance desk was...less than perfect, but I'm not going to say anything about it because evidently the person I worked with no longer works there so I won't judge this establishment for his behavior. Now for the hard part. The service center. Nobody wants to spend a hard day on the range then remember they have to come and spend another full day in a waiting room. This was not the case for me. On several occasions. The paint job: I brought the Traverse in, they took it, they gave me a 2020 Terrain loaner, it took a couple weeks because we had a bunch of hurricanes, I got it back and she was purty. The mirror job: one of the side mirrors was foggy and could not be cleaned. I brought it in for an inspection, they agreed that it was dangerous, they, and Chevy corporate, agreed that it was covered by warranty, made another appointment, dropped it off, went to lunch, came back, drove off with new mirrors on both sides. The recall job: This was for my sweetie's vehicle, but I made the appointment during the mirror job, came in for appointment, asked how long, they said 2 hours, I waited 2 hours, got vehicle, recall thing was fixed, drove away. For all of these service center jobs I worked with Chelcy. She was polite, kind, knowledgeable, helpful and understanding for all of our interactions. This is impressive because, kind of like a dentist, no one wants to be at a car service center and tempers can flare. Props to you and your team, Chelcy.
