I brought my car into the Flat Rock Branch to have a door replaced. They replaced the door with a door with a defective handle. This defect caused some of the safety features to be inoperable. When I brought the car back to them they gave me the run around for a month. They finally told us to take the car to the dealership and if the said the problem was with the new door they would pay for it. We did this and the dealership gave us the papers to prove it was the door handle. I brought the paperwork to Hudson's Center. Weeks later we had to go to Small Claim's Court to get the money. We received the money from them ,but short $80. They never returned any calls. A terrible experience. Manager is less than desirable. read more

I got into a car accident in October and shattered my left headlight. I couldn't open the driver side door because everything was bent and shoved into places it shouldn't have been. I was panicking because I was new to 280 and had no idea where I could take my car, but I remembered that there was a collision repair place near the Target I frequent. I called, and they were willing to squeeze my car repair in. About a week later, I got my car back fixed, washed, and vacuumed! She hadn't been that shiny since I first got her. The worst. I'll never take my car to another Joe Hudson shop. The color didn't match, and they left a fastener off the bumper cover. The radiator duct was not aligned with the radiator grille, either. I guess that's what they meant when they said they would "take care of me". They'll never touch one of my cars again. read more

I called this firm on Monday 1/07/19 for an estimate on my Land Rover. I have Progressive Insurance and Hudson said I had to wait until the following Wednesday as a Progressive adjusted had to write the estimate. On Wednesday, Joe Hudson changed the appointment until the following Friday without contacting me. I was traveling that day. Today, the following Monday I called for an appointment and was given the same run-around again. Progressive told me Joe Hudson is incorrect and could have written the estimate which would have been acceptable. This was a complete waste of my time trying to work with this firm. read more

I am very unhappy with JOE HUDSON COLLISION.. when I first had some work done on my 2019 Altima they did great work, but these last 2 times was horrible because of the staff they are rude and do act like they like there jOb. Repair done on July 2014. A 100% flawless experience. Good estimate. Work was scheduled in a timely manner. Updates on status were sent electronically and via phone calls. I think at least 3 calls made to me, with updates, for 3-day stay in the shop. They finished when promised. Repair and paint job appear perfect. It was the worst body shop experience that I've ever had. They fixed the obvious, but they couldn't figure out a simple problem. They gave the car back to my wife in unsafe condition, saying that the "bushings" in the front end were worn out, causing uncontrollable shaking. They refused to work on it further. Got in a wreck on the way home. I had to bring it to them. Needed new bumper, radiator, air conditioning condenser. Everything they touched is a nightmare. Bumper is the wrong color. My car was rear-ended on February 23rd. My insurance company, Progressive, chose this place to repair the damage. It has been sitting there for most of that time, waiting on parts. We all know there are supply issues, so it is inconvenient but understandable. However, the parts on my car came in over two weeks ago. I was told that my car would be ready by the end of last week. I called last Thursday, and a woman said that my car was just being painted because my technician had been out all week. This means that when I talked to them that Monday, they could have said it might be delayed. They did not. My adjuster spoke to them Tuesday, and again, they did not say anything. They never bothered to let me know when I called or updated me by picking up the phone themselves. They said it would be ready yesterday or today. I just called, and they said my car is being painted, and they hope I will get my car back Friday. I said no, my car was painted last Thursday. Now I'm waiting on a manager to call me back. They do not keep you updated, do not complete work on time, and their customer service is non-existent. This chain is the Walmart of collision work. I would strongly advise you to use someone else. read more

I purchased a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee June 2019. I was involved in an accident in Sept 11, 2019. My vehicle was towed to Joe Hudson (Opelika. Al) and the insurance of the party who hit me (The General Insurance) took full accountability and agreed to pay for the repair. Joe Hudson began working on my vehicle on October 4. It was originally a 20 day/ 61 hour job. I was given the runaround, needed THREE additional supplements, and experienced unprofessionalism by the manager, Tommy. Every week I was promised my vehicle would be ready the next week. I was not offered a rental car, wrong parts were ordered, and I missed a lot of days from work for not having a car. I finally contacted the area manager, Karly Blanton, who attempted to get me a rental car the week my car was fixed. I was unable to rent a car due to a prior incident with Enterprise. However, my vehicle was ready for pick up on JANUARY 9, 2020. It was half cleaned, my mats were dirty and thrown in the back along with the spare tire, all just sitting in the back of my car. Furthermore, it had scratches on the opposite side of the repair. Tommy stated he didn't believe they made the scratches on my vehicle. As I left Joe Hudson disappointed, I realized my keyless entry didn't work on my vehicle. I tried using my spare key to no avail. On Thursday, Karly told me she would send a Jeep representative to my place of work to fix my keyless entry problem. He never came. He finally called me when I got home and asked if he could come fix it at my house. I agreed. He came and could not fix my keyless entry. He called his advisor, who came to assist them, to no avail. I was told it needed to be returned to Joe Hudson so the sensor could be reassembled or replaced. They also advised me that my battery continuously died while they were trying to repair my car. The next morning, as I was preparing to take my two smalls sons to daycare and go to work (as a school teacher), my car would not start because the battery was dead. I could not go to work and my children could not go to school. Today is January 11 and I'm waiting for Monday to get my car towed to Joe Hudson so Tommy can put in a new battery and replace my keyless entry sensor. This experience has been awful to say the least and I would not refer this collision center to anyone! read more

These guys do great work. My car was involved in a collision - and the other drivers insurance was paying for the repairs. My car did take a while, but when I got it back it looked awesome. My only complaint is the use of after market parts. They installed a new taillight assembly using after market parts and simply put, it doesn't work. At the Nissan dealer now having it replaced. Other than that, absolutely zero complaints. Nice staff, they keep you informed every step of the way, and I know they really tried to make sure my brand new car wasn't totaled by State Farm. Highly recommend, I would just suggest asking about the parts they intend to use during the process so you are completely aware. read more
