We had a lanai enclosed a few years ago (during COVID) and the floor was never fully leveled properly. We were looking for someone to do our flooring after failed attempts at bookings with a few other guys. I went to Yelp and saw that Joe's Flooring had good reviews so I reached out for a quote via Yep. Quote: Joe was really responsive after my request for a quote and was able to come by soon after. He had gotten busy with a few other jobs but we were able to find a time that worked for him to come by our house and to look at the space and hear us out about the scope of work that we wanted done. He was transparent about having other projects happening so I knew he was busy and let him know we weren't in a rush about getting a quote or getting the work done so he could be chill about it. I reached out a few days later to check on the quote and the price he gave was a lot more affordable than we were afraid of, so we were happy to book Joe. Scope of work: He let us know exactly what was needed and gave us a bunch of references at different locations and price points so that we could do our research and source our preferred material, even offering to meet at any showrooms if we wanted. I ended up knowing at going out myself but the offer was nice. Once I finally got all the stuff we needed, I contacted Joe to confirm a date for the project. It wasn't urgent but I asked for as soon as possible and he was able to squeeze me in between a few other projects super quickly which was awesome. He was flexible in coming on the weekend which was perfect for my situation as well. The job was kind of extensive and needed demo, prep and installation, so he scheduled our project to be completed over 4 days. Quality of work: As for the quality of his work, Joe was amazing. He must be a perfectionist because he was so thorough and meticulous. He didn't cut any corners (Figuratively of course. He cut a ton of corner pieces though). His work is high quality, you can tell he is very experienced. Definitely prioritizes doing it right. He also fixed all the mess ups made by the last person who installed our flooring (me ). Customer Service: Joe is very accommodating and flexible. Whatever we asked for, he did. But he also gave us credible suggestions and education to help inform our decisions. Our condo floor needed some major TLC. I have only good things to say about Joe - he was quick to respond, friendly, flexible with our schedule, and went out of his way to do a great job on my place! I initially called in stress, as one of the bathrooms in my rental property had water damage to the floor. He squeezed time during his schedule to check out the damage and take measurements. While he was there, he also assessed a "bubble" forming in the flooring of our master bed. Speaking to him, it's very clear Joe knows his stuff and wants to deliver quality service. We spoke a while on what the different options were, and he outlined what the next steps would look like. The following week, Joe came with me to a showroom in town so we could pick out floors. Although I had no idea what I wanted or what to look for, he asked me a lot of questions to advise me on what would be best for me. After I decided on the flooring, he put an order in and eventually did the install over the course of 2 days. During install, he helped so much that I did not need to hire anyone to uninstall the toilets/vanities. He just installed (glue down) vinyl sheet flooring in our bedrooms and was efficient, detail oriented, and so so patient and understanding as we have many small dogs who aren't used to someone they aren't familiar with in the home and it got very noisy at times. He is highly skilled and very much in demand, so it will take coordinating to schedule an estimate and then installation, but it is very much worth working with him. He really took his time to ensure a quality job and finish - such an upgrade from the previous carpeting that I went from room to room after the install just to admire how great it looks. He performs EXCELLENT work and executes with great skill. Joe did a great job installing flooring in our home. He installed laminate in 4 bedrooms including our Master Bedroom and bath. And laid carpet tile in our foyer. Three rooms upstairs had carpet which he removed. The plywood subfloor under the carpet was uneven. There were high spots that he sanded down flat then he skimmed the whole subfloor with cement to level off the low spots. The master bedroom downstairs has a cement slab floor that was also uneven.
