I found painting services on a local Nextdoor App in my neighborhood while looking for 3 quotes to prepare my home to sell. I skimmed over a highly recommended post for Bryson and Ben, asked them to stop by for an estimate as I start packing my home. After already receiving a quote from my realtor based on photos I sent, I needed 2 more. Bryson and Ben stopped by and I showed them the areas that needed help and some other areas that I didn't quite finish but I knew will need the help. I asked them for 2 separate quotes, one for those problem areas that definitely needed the attention and only for spotting damages (no blending walls) and another for wall to wall blending of existing colors. They shared with me other things they would do such as minor repairs, varnishing on wood pieces in the house, and I asked them to add it on the quote. They also mentioned that if I had existing paint laying around they can see what can be done with it if not they are able to color match and order the paint. My last quote from another company came in and they needed precise problematic areas but this was just for painting, not for repairs. When I had the opportunity to discuss with my spouse, we decided to hire Bryson and Ben. This weekend they showed up as scheduled with all their materials. They worked diligently and were very meticulous about their work! I initially selected the spot work and minor damage repairs and they did just that. When spotting was done, they noticed the colors were a bit off because it's been 6 years since my husband painted the house and, of course, overtime, the paint tends to fade being exposed to surrounding elements overtime. I agreed with them and I appreciated them pointing out the difference after letting the paint set overnight. They would continue as planned if I still wanted just the spotted work but they felt awkward feeling like the work is not satisfactory. I was onboard and I totally agreed with them as I did not want my home's Open House with obvious spotty work! With my husband deployed, I was not able to take down the large, heavy shadow boxes that were placed in really high areas in my home, and the heavy wall mounted TV's. Bryson and Ben insisted they would take everything down, fix and repair anything needing repairs and I am so grateful!!! After 2 trips to the paint shop and long drying repair times, primer, paint, and varnish...the house looks like nothing existed on the walls! I must add that there were spots that I had missed and the guys took it upon themselves to get it done anyway! They didn't even tell me they did it!! I found the primer spots in hidden areas and a faded wall that I really didn't think needed any help! That is above and beyond in my book, and I was so fortunate to have stumbled upon their services! I made sure I compensated for the extra work and extra time, because it's rare to find honest work and work ethics and standards as high as theirs anymore. My husband has one less thing to worry about when he returns from deployment, and I couldn't be more pleased with everything Bryson and Ben has done to get the job done. 5 stars for their quick response and reasonable estimates 5 stars for their quality of work and their hard work to get things done 5 stars for their offer to help customers with other things that needed to get done. I am very happy with the paint job I got from B&B Painting and heartily recommend this company. They provided excellent craftsmanship and customer service at a reasonable price. I first contacted the company for an estimate. The owner, Bryson, responded quickly and within a few days, he came in person to give a free estimate. He was thoughtful to suggest ways to keep the cost down. His experience was apparent when he detected seemingly imperceptible differences in the undertones of white paint in different rooms. When I had follow up questions or any question, he was a responsive, timely, and good communicator. I had him repaint 2 bedrooms because the walls had been heavily marked with black streaks. I also had him paint a wall behind a toilet, a strip of wall in a stairwell, and a bright blue powder room which I had him change to white. I also needed him to patch holes caused by a metal rack screwed into a bathroom wall and a chain lock screwed inside a bedroom. He did the job quickly and thoroughly. Beyond painting, the team repaired and improved an exterior lanai vinyl floor that was water damaged from a poorly designed and exposed seam along its base. They calked gaps in the siding, mended and fixed nail gaps, and varnished a sun-bleached front door. The paint was high quality, we had two coats applied, and I rest easy knowing the home will be well protected and look great for a long time. I appreciate Bryson's pricing model. There is one charge for labor and material broken down into three portions; prior to the project, during, and after. We also paid-as-we-went for the paint. We were provided receipts for what Bryson purchased and paid his contractor pricing, which was a significant discount to retail pricing. Benefits to this pricing model include no contractor upcharges to the paint and, which can sometimes follow when a contractor is incentivized to upcharge/profit from paint purchases, limiting left over paint. We had few left over cans upon job completion which is great. When we solicited bids for this job, Bryson stood out from the rest by being timely, responsive, and detailed in his assessment of the property. He took the time to examine the exterior in detail, identified subtle issues that we were unaware of, and provided a solution for our water damaged lanai flooring. While his bid was the priciest of those we received, we were convinced he would deliver the quality we were after and that was proven correct. Here are some reasons why we will never use another company: 1. We called other companies and many of them wanted to know square footage of painting area before they'd come out and do an estimate. Why? Want big projects only? 2. We had needs other than painting. Carpet removal, floor installation, popcorn ceiling removal, slight demo work, AND painting. I communicated all this and they said don't worry we'll show up with a team and we'll make sure all aspects are covered. They subcontracted other teams for the work they couldn't do! Unheard of and we're appreciative of it! 3. We have them a pretty tight timeline. We couldn't control it much unfortunately. They gave us a realistic timeline but literally worked to the bone to make sure that it got done within that timeline. Literally did everything for the timeline when family was coming to visit and came back for touch ups afterwards! 4. Worked with us on every single matter. Delay? We knew about it in a timely manner (literally one time over the course of a couple months). Increase in costs (psh we knew paint was the only variable and we were told before it was purchased). 5. Literally the NICEST people you will ever meet. Ben and Bryson and their time are the hardest working nicest people we've ever met. I offered food, drink, breaks and they always said the same thing "we really appreciate that but we'll pass. Let us make your dream home come to fruition." I forced them to sit down and eat towards the end of the project because they were too good, too nice, and I felt bad. We found B & B Painting when someone on the Nextdoor app was looking for painting recommendations and Bryson spoke up. I messaged Bryson and he promptly responded via Nextdoor private messaging. I asked for an estimate telling him the house had a lot of wood rot and years of neglect to repair. Bryson came over to see the house and give an estimate. He walked around the house with my husband and I looking at areas that would need extra attention. He explained the process of how he and his partner, Ben, work on a project. He emailed us an estimate for the job that night which came in much lower than we had expected. B & B were able to start the job within 10 days. I think the wood repair was even more extensive than they initially saw when Bryson first gave the estimate for time and cost of the job. Despite the extensive wood damage they were able to replace and repair wooden beams and cedar slats to look like new and still were able to finish the job by deadline at no added pricing to my bottom line.
