Lauren fully understood our vision [which I'm sure we didn't explain very well :)] and executed it beautifully. Being a same-sex wedding, we didn't feel bound to some of the traditional elements of a wedding, and Lauren helped us brainstorm to create a very personal celebration, incorporating our backgrounds and families into so many aspects of our wedding. Lauren also introduced us to many other vendors that we would never have found if it weren't for her knowledge of the wedding industry in Southern California. In order to help us stretch our budget, Lauren coordinated with a few different furniture/decor rental companies to give us the wow-factor where it mattered without spending too much where it didn't. She also helped us negotiate prices and impressively created a lot of hand-made decorations that really tied together our wedding's aesthetic. David came to us as a referral from our florist, Annie, from Little Blue Hummingbird. David had monthly check-ins leading up to the month before our wedding which became weekly check ins. For the day of our wedding we thought he would only have 1 or 2 assistants but showed up with a whole team with radios and microphones. David built our whole lighting set up, arranged the entire setup of our reception, handled particular relatives, bussed tables, provided water service, cutting and serving our cake and did the tidying and tear down after the party was over! David was fully available to us at all times and was on top of all our vendors. He definitely created a seamless magical day for us. David is an award winning coordinator and we definitely can see why. We were able to enjoy our day and all of our family could not stop complementing the care David gave us on our day. Being Trilingual English/Cantonese/Mandarin was a huge plus for us and everyone raved about him in reviews. We had some family who would be watching our ceremony from Hong Kong so it felt perfect for us! From the beginning, Chester was super friendly and wonderful to work with, and we actually ended up selecting services for Coordination + MC +Dj and we couldn't have been more happy. Chester was super detailed in his preparations and walking us through so much of the complicated, day-of details that nobody really tells you about when planning a wedding. We were supplied with in depth questionnaires to fill out regarding what we wanted from music selections to timing of cake cutting. Our coordinator Joyce was also so wonderful and we are so glad to have her sit in on our meeting when really planning the details of the day. We felt so secure going into our wedding day after our meetings and many emails back and forth to adjust little details. Joyce was also so kind to work with my family on last minute changes as well. Day of the wedding, Chester's team were so supportive and professional, while also being super fun to have around. We spoke briefly before the event and discussed what we wanted to focus on and if there are any specific announcements we wanted to say. Already I knew Chester was super professional and his bright personality was exactly what I wanted for my special day. Chester really went above and beyond to make the reception such a fun and memorable event. We had multiple mishaps during the event such as: alcohol spilled on the dance floor that delayed the first dance, parents not ready with their speech, one of the dances ended up longer than expected, but Chester was able to control and host the room to make sure these awkward moments didn't feel awkward. He was able to transition the itinerary smoothly, came over to ask for my opinion on what I preferred, and made me feel at ease during such a stressful day. I was able to put my trust in Chester to help steer the reception and make sure everyone had a great time. After the event, I had so many friends and family praise Chester for being so professional and hosting so well.
