First time visiting Joe's Barber on East Sahara and I couldn't be happier with the experience. I'm very picky when it comes to barbers, born in the 80s and in all that time I've only had two steady barbers. Quality is hard to come by, but once I find it, I stay loyal. The barber i used was Rob. I found Rob through another app and his work stood out. Decided to give him a shot, and I'm glad I did. Rob's skills, attention to detail, customer service, and easy conversation all impressed me. On top of that, the other barbers in the shop clearly know their craft too, I noticed the fades they were giving, and even the fades on their own heads were clean. That tells me a lot about the pride they take in their work. This is the kind of barbershop I've been looking for. Ok, my first barbershop review ever! Apologies, no pics on this one....then, again, it's a freakin' barbershop, right? Anyways, moving on. This spot is tucked inside a strip mall between a nail salon and a window tint business on the corner of S Lamb Blvd & E Sahara Ave. Pretty nondescript and just has a regular sign that says "Barber Shop" in big red letters. Can't miss it. The establishment is clean and respectable. They play great music (mostly older R&B, pop music), which I'm completely fine with. They usually have some kind of sports playing on their big screen TV (if you are into that). All the employees I've come across here have been super friendly, yet, professional and will make sure you leave there with a quality haircut that you requested every time. I like the fact that it's locally owned, the employees remember you (in time), and they have great service. Ruben is the guy I see. A couple of tidbits to keep in mind about this place. This spot is CASH ONLY. However, if you come and forget to bring cash, they do have an ATM machine in the shop you can utilize. I don't recall the ATM fee, though. The base price for a haircut here is $25. This place does appointments and walk-ins. The difference of the two choices is $5. It costs $5 more to set an appointment as opposed to a walk-in. I suspect it's to solidify your spot on busy days, which is fine. There have been a couple of times I've tried walking in but couldn't due to everything being booked. Either way, it's super reasonable, in my opinion. Since being in Vegas for the past almost 18 months or so, finding a barber I can trust has been a rather mind-numbing experience. Been coming here over the years with all my boys. They take walk ins but we always make an appointment so we don't have to wait. We go to Sammie and he never disappoints. Had Gina a while back when he wasn't available and she was just as amazing. Will keep coming for my son's haircuts as Sammie always hooks him up. Terrible. I know how to cut hair, and I ended up having to cut my own hair when I got home because Marcel messed my hair up really bad. I asked for a number 12 on top, he left so much hair on the top of my head that I had to cut the rest of it off when I got home. He did not fade the back of my head. There is a mad line on the back of my head, and I had to fade it myself. I left him $40 including tip. And I regret it. Having to fix your own hair after a haircut is very frustrating. I know how to cut hair but the reason why I got a haircut is because I'm tired and I wanted to just relax. But highly regret it. Don't waste your money here. I am extremely happy with the customer service we were provided with as well as the service itself! I've been taking my son to a few barber shops that do decent work but horrible attitudes. At 10am the shop was full but there was room for a walk-in. Relief because I went scavenging around the east side and there was but 1 barber in each shop or no walk-ins. I was greeted instead of ignored or stared at. The attitude was positive and welcoming. I'm always uneasy about taking my son to a new place where I don't know if they will mess up his cut. I handed him $30 and asked for $5 back to leave him a tip, he then replied "oh the haircut was $25". Doesn't even deserve one star ! Liam (3rd guy on the right) is a really unprofessional barber he is too hard on the head with everything he was using , his clippers where way overheated burning my head ! Even with the blow dryer he messed that up ,literally hot as hell ! He does not oil his clippers as well , he cut me behind me ear & even the next day my neck was burning !!!!! & for some reason he kept touching my nose like a weirdo ! I asked for a mid fade I don't know what the hell he gave me surely was not a fade !! Seriously WORST experience ever this guy is a amateur he definitely should not be cutting hair . So my boyfriend talks about this barber shop all the time and only for one reason, Adrian. He loves the way Adrian cuts his hair and always brags to all his friends on what an amazing job he does every time. Over all I love this shop is pretty legit with vibes of a true old school barber shop. So if you're looking for a barber make sure to make an appointment before hand as you will be waiting for over an hour. I can only speak about Adrian as my BF has gotten a hair cut before by one of the other barbers and he hated it.... I called and made an appointment for my husband to have his beard trimmed. The person who answered the phone began to laugh at me when I said I was making the appointment for my husband. I thought that was very unprofessional. I didn't get the joke at all. Do wives not make barber shop appointments? After making the appointment I sent my husband the info of his appointment and mentioned to him how the guy was laughing at me when I asked for the appointment. He was very upset. He called them and asked to speak to the person he was going to see (Anthony). After a long hold someone finally took his call and when my husband said he wanted to cancel the appointment, the response he got was an "aight" and they hung up in his face. It was about time I finally decided to cleanup my haircut. My go-to barber is in LA, so it's really hard for me to keep driving back and forth from Vegas to see him for a haircut. I know that finding a barber isn't easy (especially if you're new to the area, like me) but I asked around and a friend of mine told me to try this place out. I decided to check out the reviews, and called in to make an appointment. I really like the layout of the shop. Everything is clean and well-maintained. The waiting area was spacious, with TVs for entertainment while you wait. If you make an appointment, there's going to be a small charge but it's really worth it if you don't want to wait a while (you can wait for hours sometimes). They only take cash as payment, so have a few bills in your wallet for the cost and your tip. Everyone was very friendly and personable. You could tell they vibe with their customers by their loyal clientele coming in and out of the shop. I went in to clean up my undercut; my barber (Freddie) did a bald fade and line-up. The quality of the work was amazing; my head feels so smooth and it looks super clean! They all are amazing at their craft, so try to see which barber fits your preferences. My previous experiences with barbershops were always the same. You would wait hours to get into the barber chair, only the barber does more chit chatting than cutting your hair. I had enough. I saw this shop on Yelp had great reviews and decided to check it out. Couldn't have been a better experience. Haircut was fast, cheap, and exactly what I wanted. That was over three years ago, and this is still the only barber shop I get my haircut at. I notice that most folks tend to stick with barbers of their own nationality. As an African American male, I can say these guys definitely know their trade. Over the years I have probably had my hair cut with every barber in the shop. Whenever I arrive, I immediately sign up on the sheet with "Any" for the preferred barber. 90% of the visits have me heading out with a fresh cut within half an hour. These days I now live in Southwest Las Vegas, but still find myself driving to this Eastside spot for a haircut. Never have any complaints. I started coming here after trying to find a new barber for ever, a good one at that. I searched around and called up joes and Noe answered, I told him what kind of cut I was looking for he said he could do it and told me to come and ask for him. I did just that. As Soon as I came in the vibe was great. They got good music bumpin and the place is covered with sports memorabilia and TVs. They're all laughing and joking with each other it's a great atmosphere. Most of the barbers here are Latinos, they were very welcoming. Most barber shops if you haven't been to them before are intimidating but these guys treat their clients with respect. Noe did a great job but he was absent for a couple months after I got my first cut. So I went to Pablo who at the time was the new guy. But I've been going to him for a good 3+ months now and he's great. He knows what I want and he's consistent and takes his time for a QUALITY cut. I got a haircut on Tuesday at Joe's I went there based on the great reviews on YELP and I saw most of the barbers Instagram's. When I got there it wasn't very busy so I got lucky as a walk-in, but as I was getting my haircut I saw how quickly it filled up. I didn't inquire about any specific barber but I got Jair. He was really nice. I showed him what I wanted and he asked questions if I wanted it exactly to the T or tweaked a bit. You could tell he was a new Barber in the shop, he said he was from L.A. so he was obviously building his clientele. But based on Joe's reviews and talent of the barbers they wouldn't rent a chair to someone who would ruin their reputation. After my hair was done I was VERY satisfied. I've never seen myself lined up that well lol. My fade was clean and I left very happy. I will definitely be going back. Don't forget to tip the barbers people! read more

Service sucks. They take appointments. If you don't have one good luck getting a haircut. When a barber is done with his appointment he just walks away and hangs out until his next appointment. Even if he hangs out 30 minutes. I think 30 min is plenty of time. Maybe I should have timed a cut or two. When I walked in a barber asked me if I had an appointment. I told him no. He said the wait was one hour. I starting to walk out because I couldn't wait an hour. He told me to sign in. I though cool maybe he knows something. Nope. It's been an hour and the same three guys are waiting. Why would he ask me to sign if it was going to be one hour? Crazy customer service. Come up with a plan people. I got here right at 9:00 hoping to beat the lines but there were already customers gettings cuts and a handful more waiting.I was glad to see they wlcomed walk-ins, as some shops are by appt. Only. I was a bit concerned, most of the barbers here are latino and I am of mixed race and my hair can be difficult to cut. I only waited 15 minutes before carlos called me to his chair, he understood what I wanted and got right to work. To my suprise he had no problems with my hair and was done in no time.
