I chose Agawam Jeff And Erica are unbelievable to work with. They were the most professional and down to earth team I could ever hoped to work with. Quality product that won't change year after year like Home Depot. When your fence has a tree limb fall and break it Home Depot carries a different brand almost every year. Sure it will work but it won't match. The color even white has many shades. The team at Agawam gave me a price that didn't change and a start date that was kept. The fence team took down my fence and removed it quickly. They methodically lined my yard and went over any last minutes changes or concerns I might have. This fence is just really something that changed my entire backyard. It looks perfect. Jeff and Erica thanks you and your team for all that you did .

They were quick, efficient and even constructed an awesome and very reasonably priced outdoor shower based on some pictures we showed them. We reached out to this Port Fence company again for another project and they were a little show getting here for the estimate, but were again very professional and we thought we were on our way. We waited a few weeks for the estimate, inquired about its ETA, then waited a few more weeks, then a few more weeks. I eventually called and left a message explaining that if they were too busy, no worries, just let me know or give me a timetable and maybe we can still make it happen...but to please let me know either way. No return call. Times are good now and people have money to spend and businesses get busy. Eventually times change and businesses struggle to find customers and build relationships...this Port Fence company really alienated not only a solid customer, but lots of other potential customers, including a large fence project on a 1mm dollar house the owners of which were clients of my wife (essentially a large referral pool vanished instantly). Just a really foolish unforced error and a bizarre way to run a business. But I digress. Agawam came, gave a solid bid, maintained great communication and did exceptional work. I was worried that their may be some communication issues as the workers seemed to struggle with English, but the owner explained what the plan was and these guys killed it. I think management might have changed since the poorer reviews were posted as the company was acquired by the owner of a landscape company, who I dealt with and, I believe, is on site at the beginning of every project. I'm writing this review in response to work I had done several years ago. This was, by far, the…read moreworst experience I've ever had with a contractor. I had a sunroom redone -- new floor, new support posts, ceiling, lighting, etc. During the entire process, Bob was extremely unpleasant, to put it mildly. That would be fine, if the work was done well. It most certainly was not. The floor was a complete disaster. A wide plank floor with gaps up to 1/8" in between planks. A sanding and stain job that looked like it was done by someone who's never installed a floor before. Sanding circles all over the floor and bubbles in the poly virtually everywhere. The ceiling planks weren't installed properly and separated and cracked just days after install. The drywall repair was done horribly, the mud wasn't sanded properly and they painted over everything before it dried. To top it all off, they initially put in the wrong supports under the sunroom, only to replace them with the "proper" ones that they decided to cut too short, causing the entire room to separate from the house by about 1/4". For you own sake, if you're reading this review please stay away from these clowns.

The subcontractor who came was young but friendly and was able to replace the windows in a short period of time. First class job at a very fair price…read more Bottom line...I highly recommend Georgoulis Roofing and Construction. Our experience with them could not have been any better. I wasn't looking forward to finding a new contractor, especially since there seems to be so many small roofing companies out there. We used a roofer on our old house years ago and we would not use them again. We also knew of a roofer that our neighbor used, but he ended up over-estimating the roof size, which resulted in much higher costs for materials and labor. I don't think he really wanted the job. I saw great reviews for Georgoulis on multiple web sites, and I preferred to deal with a local company. Since I relied on those reviews, I wanted to share our experience for the benefit of others. Al Greene (Director of Field Operations) was great to work with. He was always extremely responsive, replying to all of our emails in a very timely manner (almost always within 24 hours or less). We looked at both Certainteed and GAF shingles, and decided on Certainteed Landmark (Pewterwood color). Moises, Christian and the rest of the roofing crew did a great job. Our house is 2500 sq ft...2 stories plus a side family room and the roof has a fairly good grade (roofers had to use safety ropes). They said the existing 1-layer roof would be stripped and replaced in two days, and it was. There were seven workers the first day and they worked a 12 hour day. There were three workers the second day and they worked 10 hours. They moved along at a really good pace. They placed blue tarps to protect the shrubs, walkway and deck. They then placed larger black tarps from the roof edge to the ground to protect the house itself. The crew also used several large magnets to search for nails all around the grounds and the lawn when done. There were only a few minor follow-up issues that required fixing - nothing unexpected for such a dirty job. A few asphalt marks on the siding and aluminum flashing from the shingle debris. There were also a couple of pieces of white aluminium flashing that had to be bent during installation in order to get the shingles all of the way in. This was completely understandable. Since we had a prior problem with bats in one of those areas, we asked them to restore the flashing to its original snug fit. They took care of everything right away. We also had three window screens that were damaged by shingle debris on the second day (minor scraps from the new roof; large black house tarps are only up during roof removal on day 1; had to be removed from the roof edge in order to install the new roof). I offered to take the screens to be repaired and Georgoulis reimbursed us. In hindsight, I wish I had taken the screens out. Kevin and Billy installed 10 sets of new vinyl shutters as well as a rain diverter over the front steps. They also addressed some of the clean-up issues. We covered the items in our attic since we knew there would be lots of granules going through the ridge vent during removal. We also took down anything hanging on the walls that might fall due to vibrations (mirrors, framed pictures, etc). Turns out we probably didn't need to do that, but better safe than sorry. We've already had a few good rain storms and there are no leaks or issues with the new roof. The builder had used inferior shingles when they built the house. We had a couple of leaks and had shingles blow off several times over the years due to the wind (due to lack of tar adhesive on the shingles). We now know that we have a solid, high quality roof. Everyone involved was great from start to finish. We couldn't have asked for more. It really exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend Georgoulis to family and friends and would definitely use them again for any job.

After putting off house maintenance and repairs, I thought I'd get an early start this year, and in…read morethe beginning days of April, I got to work. We were planning on refinancing to take advantage of rates that were still low, and I thought that if I worked hard enough, I'd have it all in the bag in a matter of a few weeks. The problem is I kept uncovering new issues. After a couple of weeks I felt a growing sense of being overwhelmed. So finally near the beginning of May, I called Team Handyman. Tom came out and assessed the situation. I could tell that he knew what he was doing. A couple of days later came a very detailed estimate broken down by task. I picked the most pressing issues to address, and after relaying this to Team Handyman, they gave us a start time of the beginning of the following week. The following Monday, at 8:00 am sharp, Scott pulled in with his truck, and I have to say I've never met anyone more friendly or enthusiastic. His first words to me after rolling out from behind the wheel were a boisterous "Good morning, sir!" - with a hearty fist bump. This was no perfunctory salutation, this was genuine. Of course it would be all for naught, if not for the quality of his work - which was exemplary. And he was quick too ... and very focused. Yet any time I cared to check to see how things were proceeding, he stopped and gave me a detailed overview of how he was attacking the problem areas. It's great when it's so obvious how much someone loves his work. His most impressive accomplishment - at least in my case - was the replacement of rotted sill along one of the garage walls. Splashing water over the years had really made a mess of things, and this was one of the most dismaying discoveries I had made after doing some digging. But Scott managed to clear out the rotted sill, jack up the garage just enough to replace it section by section and then replace the lower foot or so of the outer paneling using PVC board. It came out beautifully - wish I could post a picture. Within three days everything we had requested to be done - was. And it was under the quote. Scott came by on day 4 (Thursday) for a couple of hours just to make some last finishing touches. We soon after passed a VA appraisal with flying colors. Thanks, Team Handyman!

We just discovered a huge leak in our kitchen during a remodel as a result of a hack job done…read morefixing step flashing that a previous Home Depot subcontractor didn't install correctly. They left at least two holes in the side of the house and just caulked the layers underneath where other shingles should have been put. When I called, they claimed they new it wasn't right but there was nothing they could do. The Better business bureau will be hearing from us next.

The estimate came way below the other 2 we got. We didn't go with them because if price.... but the initial inspection. The crew of 5 guys were amazing. They arrived at 8 and got right to work after setting up. No radios, no one smoking and no breaks till 12 noon. An hour tonthe minute they were back to work. We had an issue with wood roof members and I decided to re apply the entire roof with new wood. We weren't taken advantage of and still came below the other estimates. Clean up at 6 each night WS done in a manner you'd never really know they were there. When we needed the additional wood it arrived in time for the install. Job supervisor dropped the job twice each day. I would highly recommend Better Built for your home repairs and renovations
