GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.!!!! They make crap up! They totally LIE to you..! When I brought my vehicle there I was absolutely % LIED to..! They definitely tried to ROB me! Told me I needed parts that I absolutely did NOT need which I found out afterwards from another HONEST mechanic...! Told me parts and labor would be $600+ tax..! $300 for Parts and $300 for labor...!!! It needed a $20 part and took 10 minutes to replace..!!! Freaking JERKS! Well, guess they have to try to make their money somehow BUT if they do that, this is the kind of review that they will get. I'm sure they will LOSE money because of it...! I have used Dietrich's in the past, and they have been helpful. However, this past visit was less than helpful. The engine light was on and needed inspection. They replaced the oil control valve, but the problem persisted, despite charging me for an inspection, knowing it could not pass until the light cleared. They suspected the timing chain, which was incorrect. After poor communication with Dietrichs, I traveled 3 hours to a mechanic I used when I lived upstate. He replaced the same valve Dietrichs had already replaced and an ignition coil, and it passed inspection. Tom did say he was glad it worked out for me. What he should have said in addition was I am also sorry we were not good enough mechanics to fix the problem, and I should not have charged you for an inspection when I knew it would not pass, at the very least. This response does not even address the fact that I had to replace a part he had just charged me for. I assume the part was defective or not installed right. At any rate, he stood behind the inadequate job and felt that his bill was appropriate. read more

Dietrich took my Caddy and changed the transmission and brake fluids. I asked them to change the 2 air filters. They said the filters were fine and didn't need to be replaced! Took my car into Dietrich's for inspection and cabin air filter. Was I surprised when the car failed. Turns out it needed to have both control arms replaced, both stabilizer bars replaced, and a front wheel alignment. Maybe that explains why the car wasn't performing that well on the road. I had attributed the car's less than stellar performance to having more than 160K miles on its odometer. Once again, Tom Dietrich and his excellent mechanics found the problem and fixed it, most assuredly preventing me from experiencing some major car trouble whilst driving. I've known Tom Deitrich for more than 25 years and know him to be an honest, reputable man with skilled mechanics. He tries to keep the costs down and also offers a Triple A discount. I highly recommend Tom and his crew for all your auto upkeep/repair needs. read more

Fabulous service !! We were ending our week long vacation, heading home and car started to make horrific noise. Needed to get towed, and ended up at Dietrich's because of AAA - but would highly recommend this shop. They were great on the phone call prior to being towed there, super helpful taking a look as soon as possible, and fixing the problem. They were also very helpful and realistic prior to seeing car. Went to Dietrich's for car inspection. Service was prompt; the car was inspected and approved in about 20 minutes. I've always had battery issues with my vintage Mercedes and, true to form, I need another battery, which I'm having Dietrich's install instead of taking the car to Mercedes Southampton and paying much more. read more

My compressor went out on my drive out. Tom was able to get us in at short notice and evaluated what the problem was accurately. He quoted us a price that matched what we were told by my home garage.
