What a refreshing change from canned sauces and tired pasta dishes! My party of three stopped by Joe's for lunch on the recommendation of a fellow patron at the nail salon. Boy was she right! "Good food and affordable prices," she said. We started with a house salad and garlic rolls. The usual iceberg greens, red onion, cheese, and good dressing made each tasty. Tea was flavorful, too. I had cannelloni with meat, cheese, and spinach. Oh, my! Another of our party had shrimp Alfredo with rich sauce and plump shrimp. The lasagna was spot on and all were sized, piping hot portions even for lunch. All were around $10.99. Surprise, we dined for less than $50 including tip. Wow! Gentie, the owner's nephew came around to check on us and visit sharing stories about his recent visit home to Italy. Delightful young man! There were loads of dessert offerings, but our to-go plates evidenced no room for any. We will DEFINITELY return to Joe's. I cannot wait to share an experience with my family. read more

The place looks like a typical pizzeria, with the bright red and white decor and seating, which should've been my first sign to order pizza instead of try my hand at literally anything else. I went with a fairly large group, and we all ordered some type of pasta dish. Our pasta was all mushy and overcooked, and the flavor of my piccata tasted off, like the wrong ratio of ingredients was used. Explaining my rating. I have four stars because the service here was really amazing. Food on a scale 1-5, 3 out of five. My cousin recommended this place while we were in Leesville. Leesville doesn't have too many restaurants to really choose from so it is nice to see one that feels like a real restaurant with great service. Walking in the doors were immediately opened for us, we were greeted by the hostess and sat. We had a party of 12. Our waiter Valentino was absolutely spectacular. We had more children than adults and he just did a terrific job. The menu here is quite large! So if you're like me and want to try everything; it's tough! Price point here is really great. The food came out rather quickly. The bread they serve for the table is so delicious. Now I ordered the calamari, the focaccia, stuffed mushrooms, and the kids manicotti to start. Then for dinner I ordered the Fra Diavolo Dish. I will say I liked some of the appetizers way more than my entree. The manicotti was really tasty especially with the pink sauce. The calamari was surprisingly very tasty, but for that price of $16 you didn't get a whole lot. That was the only thing not priced great. The stuffed mushrooms were my favorite of the night other than the bread. The focaccia was a disappointment; wasn't real focaccia bread; it was just French bread with tomato and cheese on top. Real focaccia has all that chopped up and baked in. The salads were ok, all the dressings were kinda weird tasting. My entree was ehhh... the chicken was weird in texture and honestly I wasn't a fan of the flavor of the sauce. I really wish I would've ordered something else. But the pasta was cooked great. The tiramisu was really delicious. All in all we had a great dinner, just half of what we ordered was just ok. read more

The service was quick and they kept our drinks filled. We went on a Friday at 5 and got our food quickly. They asked us what we thought but I hesitated to tell them everything. The two things we ordered were chicken piccata and a calzone. The calzone was great and priced well. The chicken picatta had a bland flavor. I was hungry and ate a third of it. It is priced at 16.99$. They fill your plate with pasta juice and some very bland dry chicken. I have made my own chicken piccata and it is much better. The menu says that the chicken is pan fried in butter. I expected golden delicious pan fried chicken. What I got was white boiled very over cooked boneless skinless chicken breast. It felt like all the ingredients were subpar. I buy better ingredients for my own cooking at a better price than their low quality chicken and pasta. The capers were flavorless as well and the one or two spriggles of green onions did not do anything to save the dish. I added some of the Parmesan cheese they supply at the table but once again the cheese had no flavor.. just not high quality. My husband enjoyed the calzone and he thought it was good. He wanted a side of Alfredo noodles but the waitress thought he had said a side of sauce for his calzone. The Alfredo sauce had a weird flavor. I make super delicious sauce with butter, cream, a little pepper and Parmesan. Their butter is not very good. In fact it tasted like subpar margarine... ugh anyways the ambiance was ok. Luckily they had a lot of napkins at the table which I appreciated. The red and white checked vinyl tablecloths are cute and the chairs are industrial cheap restaurant seating. I was really looking forward to a nice restaurant in Leesville. They could put a little more into decor and lighting. They reused the lighting and decor from fox's it even has the same layout. I'm not sure why it took so long to open. I will try it for lunch next week and see if it gets any better. read more

just tried it out... food was AMAZING. the sweet tea is awesome. not to mention you get free bread for an appetizer which is delicious, ask for a side of marinara sauce (it's so good!). for a party of 2, we both ordered chicken fettuccine alfredo, it was very fulfilling and we have plenty of leftovers. it also included a salad. although they were busy, the service was great. the restaurant was clean and well maintained. the owner, joe personally came and spoke with us. i definitely recommend this place to anyone. we will definitely be returning! read more

There is garlic bread pretty good highly recommend. I do not recommend the calzone or the pizza unless you have a big stomach but really good. Waiters are really nice fast service to be seated. Ambience is great playing great music two fridges filled with desserts and table cloths but anyway highly recommend this place for lunch and dinner. read more

Fresh food, plenty for the money and delicious. First time going and im not a pasta person, my husband is but this place will make you love pasta for sure. Decided to enjoy a new restaurant other than Tex-Mex and unfortunately there was no enjoyment with this restaurant. The spaghetti and meatballs I had were frozen meatballs simmered in sauce, the pasta was put into the sauce then when served sauce was poured on top. The staff were very friendly and attentive making sure that we had full drinks and everything else we needed. The lighting was very nice, the tables set up were close to other people in the restaurant making it feel crowded. On top of the meal experience one of the staff members degraded another staff member in front of customers which was distracting and unprofessional, one of the staff members stated that at the end of the night the managers would apologize for the way they spoke to them during the day! The menu was too busy there were so many options it would take an hour just to decide what to eat if you did not already know what you wanted . Maybe a menu that would have less, like a lunch and dinner menu keeping it simple to browse. As I said the food was food that I could have purchased at the local WalMart and reheated in a microwave. Needless to say we will not return and stick to Russell Stouffer's meals if we need an Italian like meal. read more
