Like most of us, we've had moving experiences since we were children. This move by Joe's Moving was not only unsatisfactory but it was an overpriced & harmful nightmare to say the least. By far the worst experience we've ever encountered with a moving company. Andrew, who works for his Daddy, who took over for Joe, who passed away, is simply one very convinceable salesman who praises God & Family. You always have to watch out for the ones who oversell the religious dedication that don't care about the money, that just love what they do and want to help people, please God, etc... We'll our response is...Bullshi*. He loves to talk about the fact that money isn't important to him, 'it's not about the money he says, it's about helping people." Once again, Bullshi*. Let us explain how he "helped our family". When 2 movers showed up to move us, they immediately had aggressive angry attitudes from the very beginning. The one scrawny little punk who looked like an amped up, meth head, criminal junkie, had gang tattoos, etc., was constantly going off with his toilet mouth, was screaming at our Disabled Young Child because Our child kept repeatedly politely telling the punk that he was raising our couch directly on top of our pregnant family pet. The punk mover was laughing and continued to raise the couch even higher and harder as our family pet was screaming in agony from literally being physically crushed by this POS. She sustained injuries. It was obvious he got some kind of a sick thrill out of harming her. When I confronted the punk defending my minor disabled child, he began to scream at my child and me some more, became even more psychotic, had a temper tantrum, and eventually stormed off with a slew of vulgarities to our disabled child, me, & Andrew. Then, another fat mover started screaming at me saying I didn't have enough boxes even though we had an exorbitant amount of boxes, that it was my fault that they are incompetent, etc.. They kept dumping our belongings, paperwork, clothes, etc., all over the floors with no regard whatsoever. They just wanted to get the furniture out with no regard to damage that they continuously caused and the mess that they made leaving it behind for us to clean up. These guys have obvious psychiatric issues and are extremely aggressive psychopaths. The owner kept saying that he's a family man, he doesn't care about the money, that he simply "enjoys helping people", etc. Then in the very next breath kept telling us how he's worried about the money, wants to get paid for our move, people always screw him over (it's no wonder, now we know why), and that he knows we're disabled so he's worried that we won't pay or have enough cash after he gives us the bill. We think we know why he was worried. Joe's Moving after injuring our beloved family pet, after verbally assaulting our minor disabled child & me, charged us $1,900 plus for a move from a 2 bedroom apartment to another 2 bedroom apartment locally within Albuquerque only a very short distance. Then Andrew, the owner acted as if he was doing us this amazing good deed for the Lord, a favor, & told us to pay him just under $1,700 Cash. During the entire move my phone kept ringing constantly. Andrew very Aggressively kept attempting to shake us down for the cash. As a matter of fact, the irony of his God worshipping persona that he loves to portray was the opposite. It was all about the money, cash money is ALL he cared about. During the entire move, the movers constantly whined and complained. They took many smoke breaks (I told them my Son has Asthma), flicked cigarettes all over the front of our property, took breaks sitting in the truck talking on their cell phones, constantly complained about the heat in Albuquerque, etc.. If you want to sit on your asse* all day, then get into a different line of work. Movers move, it's even in the title of the job description. The fat mover even screamed at us saying we didn't help enough, it's our fault (whatever that means). That was completely false. We did much more than we should have to do, put up with all kinds of attacks and abuse that we shouldn't have had to. They broke many pieces of our sentimental furniture and several other items in the new Apartment. We paid just under $1,700 for your company to move us Andrew, we don't work for you, you were supposed to work for us. Guys saying the entire time that they haven't eaten all day or had anything to drink which is interesting considering every single mover we've ever hired has brought food and beverages & or ate before they got started. These are 2 tough grown men not 2 infants correct? We gave them many bottles of ice cold purified waters so they'd stop whining so damn much. We even gave one of the guys an electronic device as a gesture of good will being nice paying it forward. Consumers Beware, we're a Loving Family and don't want another family to go through what we had to. This was a shakedown. Shame on Joe's Moving Company! read more

Joes accepted a job for $1250 to move my Dear friend from a second floor apartment. She did not micro manage them and they moved her storage unit from the first floor which only filled 1/2 of the first of two trucks. They then moved some boxes from her aprtment but only filled the second truck 1/4th of the way! They did not take her couch and they did not take her bed, her computors etc. I have the feelling that they did not want to move the couch because it is a pull out bed and these couches can be very heavey. When they delivered what they did load, I don't think they were expecting me to be there and see how empty their trucks were and knowing how much of her stuff they left behind on a holiday weekend when she could not get someone else, and needed to be out by Tues AM. I AM HOPING JOE KEEPS HIS WORD/CONTRACT THIS TIME =============================================== I addressed this with Joe and he said he would go back and get the couch and the bed for free. If he does, I will raise this rating, as it is, giving back part of her money was not what she had contracted for, she needed her furniture moved THIS WEEKEND. If it is not moved it will COST HER ANOTHER MONTH"S RENT plus rent at the new place because he broke his contract. ========================================================= Just read your slanderous response Mr. Joe. This is not Maggie, this is the landlady of the place you delivered the boxes from the first floor storage to. You did not expect anyone to be there when you arrived to see the empty trucks. There were and are no bed bugs, there was no feces on the floor of the sending apartment, only a kitty litter box. You looked me in the eye and said you would go back after the HEAVEY COUCH and the bed you LEFT. You said you and your son would go and get them, I said it will take more than two people. Here is what I suspect, and am going to verify. You picked up the couch and looked under it and stated it was full of cochroaches. I believe that you actually looked to see if it was a heavey hide a bed and since it was, decided not to move it down the one flight of stairs. You then feigned puking over the balconey...... I am going to confirm this for myself and document as my friend cannot pick up the couch herself. I will report back to you with pictures. When you apparently conned Maggie into accepting your bid, you said God Bless... I would say that was using the Lord's name in vein at this point and those who use it for their buisness as a political move are no different than all the other fake politicians on both sides of the aisle. Zero integrity as you left an elderly woman on a long week end forcing her to leave the couch her son bought for her, while you took the little stuff my children could have moved for her. We could not have been happier or more pleased with the moving crew of Mike, Andrew and Brett that were sent out to do our ALL DAY move. I had packed my own belongings but had much more than I thought! They arrived at our house about 9 am and started working immediately. They were very focused, yet personable and friendly. They did not stop ONCE; not even for lunch. ( I filled them up with donuts!..;0)...) They filled the truck TWICE , PLUS moved a 10x10 storage unit and then after about 10 hours after finishing the job were willing to go pick up a heavy patio table up the road about 6 miles that I had purchased from someone off of Craigslist. Mike's response?....."Whatever you need ma'am". They were exhausted and still did the extra, and kept a friendly, positive attitude the whole time. Brett even commented that he LOVED his job ( and NOT sarcastically. VERY sincere as I said I had no idea how they could do this day after day!) These men are 10 +++ in their job and are due for a raise!!! ( one suggested $50 an hour....;0)...) We will gladly be a reference for your company and told our realtor how pleased we were with you. *** the ONLY thing I found damaged was a platter that had two chips on the edge which likely was due to the way I packed it. Consumers Beware! Andrew is a Total Scam Artist! Andrew uses his religion tactics to attempt to gain your trust and then completely takes advantage of you! He is a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing. He will lie right to your face and then overcharge you after they have purposefully taken as long as possible (Obviously to make as much money off of you as possible) to load your precious belongings into their old trucks. All Andrew cares about is greed. It's all about the money for him! They damaged every single piece of furniture we have! The movers and Andrew kept complaining the entire time, argued with my husband about anything and everything every step of the way, even became physically confrontational. The movers asked us for food. We could smell alcohol emanating from both movers. They were on their cell phones for the majority of the time! This was by far the WORST moving experience our family has ever had. We are actively consulting with our Family Attorney to file an impending Law Suit in the very near future! After my original review, and the posting by Andrew of Joe's moving in response to my original review, Andrew and I began emailing with each other about the issues and circumstances that led to my initial review. We both conceded that there was a lot of miscommunication, which is really what caused most of the issues. Andrew was very apologetic about the way things turned out, and I feel he was being sincere with his apologies. As such, I am updating my review to five stars. My advice to anyone thinking of going with Joe's moving would be to ask a lot of questions about specific items you have that may or may not be able to be moved, or that require special handling, before booking, especially if you have a lot of loose items that require transport, specialty pet cages, etc. read more

We used Joe's Moving for a local move in Albuquerque. We had an excellent experience with this company and will use them again if we ever need to move. They sent two movers and a truck. It took them 4 hours to move our 3 bedroom plus a garage full of boxes and extra furniture. (By comparison, it took our previous movers 8-9 hours to move the same amount of stuff.) Joe's Moving exceeded my expectations. No damage to items. Professional movers who worked quickly. I was a little uncertain about using them because of some of the negative reviews here, but glad I decided to use them. Amazing!!! Got a quick response when I asked for an estimate, and the movers were fantastic! Mike and Ernesto arrived on time, worked at an amazingly fast pace, and were really careful with my belongings. Not one single thing was damaged during the move. They were understanding about me not having everything packed the greatest, and they even helped set up the beds and large pieces before they left! If I could give them TEN stars I would!
