The restaurant has the feeling of a your smaller, neighborhood Italian restaurant that makes their dishes from recipes that have been passed down from one generation to the next. By the time we left, they made us feel like we were part of their extended family, if only for an evening. And when you're traveling on the road, that's a mighty nice feeling! I always say I judge an Italian restaurant by their sauce, and this one was ok. Very sweet. Not thick. It wanted for something. I ordered the half portion of angel hair pasta, and it was still a very generous amount. I added a meatball which tasted more like an Italian sausage in a ball with a bit of spice and a chewier consistency. I wasn't mad at it, but it wasn't the seasoned ground beef crumble I expected. All in all, the meal was good, just lacking in some of things I expected from a place everyone seemed to like about it.
