A coworker and I drove through Paris, Illinois and searched Yelp for options. We stumbled across Rocky's Italian Bistro and both said we were very pleased with our lunch choice. The ambience is a mixture of a French restaurant meeting an Italian restaurant somehow looking like an American Diner with a menu that had a little of everything. Our server was very attentive even though the restaurant was full and she seemed to be the only server. She was delightful and gave us good recommendations. My coworker ordered a Caprese Panini and a Caesar salad. Obviously this wasn't my recommendation if you've read any of my other reviews! She said it was a great sandwich but wasn't a fan of the homemade chips. I was impressed that she didn't give me the stink eye when I explained my need to photograph her food :) I had the lunch portion of chicken parmesean that was really good. Nice portion of chicken and pasta and a great flavor - I would definitely order it again. Oddly, this came with a side of my choice just like the sandwich menu. I chose a side of fries and they were ok fries. Nothing Earth shattering but not bad. It's a great lunch option at a reasonable price and I'd return if I found myself in the area. We went here because it was on the TV dinner for two card. We are from Terre Haute. We got two appetizers. We got caprese and the calamari. Both of these I thought were underwhelming. The caprese didn't had much flavor. It was pretty basic caprese salad. The calamari I thought was also not crunchy enough or super flavorful. For dinner, we my partner had lasagna and I had the crusted chicken skillet. He thought the lasagna was pretty good but not the best he ever had. However, the crusted chicken skillet exceeded all expectations. It was GREAT. Hiighly recommend. The rice is sits on is flavorful and full of good veggies. Then the chicken is thin but juicy and really flavorful as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. With these we got house made chips. They were fine. However, I would get a different side if I went again. They tasted like slightly better potato chips. Service was 10/10. Super quick and attentive. This place has a local vibe. They also had great specials that looked good. read more

Ordered chicken Parm. Recieved veal parm, The veal was so thin the chesses on top was thicker,and was so over cooked that it was hard and dry. Sauce was good.My friend had a BBQ burger that was dry and just ok. The bill had a line item -universal service charge- automaticaly added, when I asked about it was told the computer just adds it. Food and service were a 10! We ordered the sauces and Caprese Salad as an appetizer. I am allergic to pine nuts and made the server aware. The two ladies I was dining with still enjoyed the sauce with pesto and they brought me out another... each of the sauces I tried were yummy! For lunch I had the carbonara, I think it was a meat carbonara. Our server recommended it as it was not on the lunch menu. I could not finish it all. We came upon this quaint gem while traveling. Since then we've actually went out of our way to visit. Food is absolutely amazing. The only complaint I would have is the breadsticks. Their sauces are authentic Italian sauces. Staff is very good, especially Genta. read more

We were a large group who ate dinner at Rocky's on 7/18/25. Food was overpriced for the sub-standard quality and the service was horrible. I had the Seafood Alfredo and there was obviously nothing homemade about it (store-bought pasta and Alfredo sauce from a jar). Another person in our party had the same entree and portion control and consistency was way off. The server was exceptionally unfriendly and disorganized. Food was slow because of "a printer error" and not all food was delivered at the same time. The server never asked about dessert and NEVER refilled our drinks. My wife and my bill was $50, including tip. This was our first, and last, time eating there. Very disappointing. read more

I requested a chef salad for my wife and she enjoyed it. I ordered a catfish sandwich with white cheese and tartar on the side. They gave me a piece of catfish without bread and the melted cheese on aluminum and the fish stuck to the aluminum and to the Styrofoam container. Not happy with this meal read more

Don't let the outside of this place fool you. It is in an old drive-in building, but there is a dinning room on the inside and it is nicely decorated. I stopped here for dinner at 5 pm on a Monday and there were only a couple of other tables taken. My very friendly server came right over and took my drink order. I was happy because they have Coke products. When she returned with my drink and complimentary bread sticks, I ordered the Baked Mostaccioli along with a dinner salad. She returned right away with my dinner salad. It was a salad made from Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, croutons, and some cheese. It was fresh and tasty. Shortly after I was finished with my salad, she returned with my meal and it was hot, you could tell it just came out of the oven. The sauce was a little chunky and sweet. It was not too sweet, but it was on the sweet side of pasta sauces. The cheese was good, it just could have used more. Really liked this place! We stopped in thanks to the good reviews and were very pleased! They nicely gave some breadsticks at the start with some whipped butter that had some seasoning in it and it was pretty good. For appetizer, we got a caprese which was pretty good but a bit much on basalmic. We ordered Alfredo with prime rib add on with side of soup and carbonara with side of ceasers salad. That was one of the best ceasers salads ever! And the soup had lots of great chicken and flavor. For entrees, carbonara was very tasty and the alfredo was delicious and very flavorful! The prime rib was decent, but it came more well done and sliced up instead of a medium side of steak like I'd get elsewhere. Have to take a star off for that. For dessert, we split an eclair which was delightful. It had lots of filling with great tasting chocolate icing. Ambiance was easygoing and staff were very nice and helpful! There were lots of amazing-looking foods coming out for other parties so if I ever find myself in the area, I'm definitely coming back to try more! read more

We were brought here a few weeks ago by our nephew. He did good. We came back tonight and added alcohol this time. Bread sticks are far better than the bead sticks at a chain restaurant that people rave about. Ceasars salad is good, but my not top tossed salad at the other place. Wife loves the fried lasagna. I have been happy moving around the menu. And, I have my choice made for next time. Yep, there will certainly be a next time. Burgundy Steak if you are one of those that needs to see "scenes from our next show". Highly recommend this facility. Prices were reasonable and servers were excellently attentive. read more

I had their Bistro Ravioli, it was very cheesy, I prefer a more creamy sauce. Side salad was just the right size. Waitress never refilled my iced tea. read more

While staying in Paris tonight, I visited Rocky's Italian Bistro for dinner. The place far exceeded my expectations. I ordered the baked mostoccioli. It came with a side and I selected the Caesar salad. The salad was crisp and cold and a generous portion. The baked mostoccioli was plentiful and hot. Breadsticks were also served. Service was prompt and very friendly. It was a great experience--and then I saw the bill. The total (before tax) was $11.99! I decided to add a piece of cheesecake to my meal...very tasty and quite large. What a value! I highly recommend this restaurant. Too bad I don't live in Paris. read more

Went in a few days before Christmas just to try the place out since they were basically empty. As far as the restaurant goes it's very much putting off a "we're trying to look fancy" vibe and it really shows. The building doesn't match, and you can tell they were in a rush to get it open. Service was good don't have much to say about it other than it was pretty standard. Now the food. The menu was a massive mix of different foods from different places. Seems like the place is having a crisis and doesn't know what kind of food it wants to serve. Ordered the Philly cheese steak out of curiosity and it wasn't great. Very chewy and hard to separate and eat. The bun was overloaded, soggy, and not very appetizing. After eating here we all had upset stomachs. I can't recommend them read more
