    Alfredo with prime rib

Really liked this place! We stopped in thanks to the good reviews and were very pleased! They nicely gave some breadsticks at the start with some whipped butter that had some seasoning in it and it was pretty good. For appetizer, we got a caprese which was pretty good but a bit much on basalmic. We ordered Alfredo with prime rib add on with side of soup and carbonara with side of ceasers salad. That was one of the best ceasers salads ever! And the soup had lots of great chicken and flavor. For entrees, carbonara was very tasty and the alfredo was delicious and very flavorful! The prime rib was decent, but it came more well done and sliced up instead of a medium side of steak like I'd get elsewhere. Have to take a star off for that. For dessert, we split an eclair which was delightful. It had lots of filling with great tasting chocolate icing. Ambiance was easygoing and staff were very nice and helpful! There were lots of amazing-looking foods coming out for other parties so if I ever find myself in the area, I'm definitely coming back to try more!

Don't let the outside of this place fool you. It is in an old drive-in building, but there is a dinning room on the inside and it is nicely decorated. I stopped here for dinner at 5 pm on a Monday and there were only a couple of other tables taken. My very friendly server came right over and took my drink order. I was happy because they have Coke products. When she returned with my drink and complimentary bread sticks, I ordered the Baked Mostaccioli along with a dinner salad. She returned right away with my dinner salad. It was a salad made from Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, croutons, and some cheese. It was fresh and tasty. Shortly after I was finished with my salad, she returned with my meal and it was hot, you could tell it just came out of the oven. The sauce was a little chunky and sweet. It was not too sweet, but it was on the sweet side of pasta sauces. The cheese was good, it just could have used more. I thought this a good meal for the money, and I would stop again if I were ever in the area. Overall a good experience.

Authentic Italian! All the sauces and pastas are made in house! Rocky's creation is a smorgasbord of pasta surf and turf.My favorite was the mushroom ravioli! This place is a treat and worth any drive and I'm from Atlanta!

We were brought here a few weeks ago by our nephew. He did good. We came back tonight and added alcohol this time. Bread sticks are far better than the bead sticks at a chain restaurant that people rave about. Ceasars salad is good, but my not top tossed salad at the other place. Wife loves the fried lasagna. I have been happy moving around the menu. And, I have my choice made for next time. Yep, there will certainly be a next time. Burgundy Steak if you are one of those that needs to see "scenes from our next show". Highly recommend this facility. Prices were reasonable and servers were excellently attentive.

Delicious sauces! Recommend having the Sauce Flite; Four of their homemade sauces with bread sticks. Clean & friendly.

I got the black raspberry, my son ordered almond vanilla, and my daughter had the prickly pear. They were all delicious! We had toasted ravioli and crab stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. Oh my god! Sooo GOOD!! Not to mention the awesome breadsticks! For entrees, we had the lobster ravioli, chicken Marsala, and the blackened chicken Alfredo. We all enjoyed our meal immensely. We were a little disappointed that they were out of cannolis, as that was the main reason we chose to go there, but they had cannoli cake... which was truly delightful. You can really tell that everything is made in house. The staff were very pleasant, and our waitress was very friendly and answered our many questions. The restaurant was clean and cozy. Two mild criticisms: *I wish I knew to ask for them to omit the sprinkles on top of the whipped cream on the Italian soda. It did make it pretty, but was odd when ending up in your mouth via straw. Maybe a light dusting of colored sugar would be better. *My chicken, while delicious, was a tad dry. I think it probably could've rested a little longer before slicing. Ultimately a great experience and excellent food!

Don't go. I have recommend this place to many, won't anymore not sure I will try to go here again,…read morewhich is sad, the food is great, but serve is lacking. Back in May when I went there for a Saturday lunch was seated right away, but took forever to get waited on. Then tonight meet family there from Terre Haute, walked in told a 30 minute wait, now there is 2 booth for 4 open, another corner table just needed cleaned that probably could seat 4 to 6 this is in lower lever. Then in the upper, there is a 2 topper I think, another 4 topper, and 2 6 toppers and another 6 topper came open. But still not seating people, I watch a gentleman that was alone not wait around and couple of 4 groups and couple 2 groups also end up leaving, we finally a group of 4 after waiting more then the 30 minutes. It is like the waitresses can only handle 1 table or group at a time. Sorry I work waitressing in a family own/ran establishment and you better be able to handle several and I many like 5 or 10 tables and large group at the same time. Never been so disappointed. Oh, did I mention we drive a good hour to go here.

The atmosphere is very dark, and it's off putting how poor the interior of the room we were seated in looked--tables stacked upside down on other tables, piles of chairs blocking a door, and wall decor that looks like someone went garage sale shopping. The bread was over baked. The salad with house dressing was the best part of the meal. The meals LOOKED great, but did not taste good at all. I had Chicken Capelini--the texture of the chicken was like overly cooked pre-boiled chicken that was thrown in a pan to brown it. It somehow it managed to be dry and rubbery while floating in a sea of thin broth. My husband's veal was not a cutlet as one might expect, but rather bits of some kind of beef that I strongly suspect were not veal. The damablanca sauce was also super thin with no hint of the usual brandy or Cognac one would expect. It basically tasted like watered down Alfredo sauce.

We met the owner, who cooks many of their signature dishes, his daughter who manages the restaurant, and his granddaughter who was the hostess that night. We happened to be traveling through the area, celebrating our 50th anniversary, and they went out of their way to make it a memorable night for us! The restaurant has the feeling of a your smaller, neighborhood Italian restaurant that makes their dishes from recipes that have been passed down from one generation to the next. By the time we left, they made us feel like we were part of their extended family, if only for an evening. And when you're traveling on the road, that's a mighty nice feeling! Do yourself a favor, the next time you are in the area, plan on making this a destination. It's well worth it! (Consider making a reservation or at least calling ahead because they are pretty popular.)

The bad: The wait staff was not very engaged. I wanted this review to be about the food but that just wasn't meant to be. The Ugly: I am very well travelled on 3 continents. I've dined elegantly as well as from street vendors and I have NEVER had service that was this off putting to the point of being overtly rude, and I am an American who has eaten in France and doesn't speak much French. When we wouldn't sit at the bar, even though the main area was only 1/4 occupied They moved our party of 2 into the side room with chairs up on tables. It went downhill from there. Due to this, it wasn't possible to really enjoy what should have been a fine meal. I will say it is a wise policy to ask for payment and tip ahead of this type of service before it is provided.
