Stopped by here at last minute to grab a couple slices on my way to work. Tuesday night and not very busy. I knew they sold it by the slice sink could probably get in and out in under 10 minutes. Only one person ahead of me and I chose a supreme slice and ricotta slice with spinach and big chunks of feta type cheese. A little pricey at almost $12 for two slices. I could get a whole pizza for that. But they were big slices. Watched them throw it in the oven and patiently waited. After a few minutes they boxed it up and I had a long drive 1/2 mile to work. Took my first bite into the supreme and a little disappointed. The mushrooms were obviously canned and the bottom crust was soggy. This slice was "meh". The second slice was a little better. The bottom crust was actually harder and the taste was good. Not a great value for the price and the taste was just ok. read more

I came here today for a quick slice or two - the place had a lot of chairs up on the tables to encourage social distancing and the staff was doing a great job of using masks and gloves along with providing hand sanitizer. There were a lot of pre-made pizzas ready for heating up - I opted for a slice of cheese pizza and one custom made with black olives and mushrooms. The pizza came out quick and hot. The "to go" option meant they slide the paper plates the slices come on into a paper bag. It is on you to hit a table for some condiments and napkins. My slices were super hot without being greasy. The cheese slice folded nicely for eating. The pizza offered a nice balance of cheese, sauce and crust. The crust was not too thick and a bit sweet and airy towards the end. My black olive and mushroom slice is in the photo provided - I had to have a bite before catching myself! The only awkward thing about this slice were the mushrooms - rather than being sauteed or precooked like on the pre-made pizzas - they were huge and chunky and somewhat fresh as if they had come from their salad station. Not that the flavor was affected at all - but the slice was more difficult to fold and eat. But they certainly did not skimp on the toppings! I had been looking forward for a few years to try this place and got my chance today. More of the benefits of teleworking, I suppose. This was a great option for pizza by the slice, something that I wish more places offered. read more

So I did an online order for the pinwheels, the picture online is attached to this review and as you can see it shows 2 pinwheels. I placed 2 orders of them assuming I would get 4. Due to the image on the menu. I was only given 2 so I went back and asked if there was a mistake with the order but he said that only come in singles not doubles. So it's 1 per order. Joe's reminds me of those mom and pop pizza joints that used to be everywhere a decade or two ago. You know, the ones with the tattered booths and sports memorabilia all over the walls? The guy at the counter is the authentic New York gruff who knows pizza, and your first bite will confirm what I'm saying because the pizza is fantastic! We ordered an XL (18") pepperoni and garlic, which is my go-to pizza for trying a place out. The crust was crispy on the outside yet airy and light. The sauce was exactly was it should be flavor wise--not too sweet and not too bitter. The cheese looked and tasted like above average quality cheese does. My only complaint was that the pie was a bit greasy. It could have been the cheese or the pepperoni, or both, but it didn't detract from the flavor or overall pizza tasting experience. We also got some garlic knots, which were good, but not as good as the pizza. We will definitely be going back to try other menu items as they do pastas as well. This unassuming restaurant is worth a shot if you like NY style pizza! read more

Sad to see what it's become I'll never come back, ordered toppings on my slice they were just tossed on with 3 shredded tiny pieces of cheese, the pinwheels the bottom was rock hard from 1/2" of burnt. Took a Supreme slice to-go. It was bad. The crust wasn't cooked through so it was doughy under the cheese and there was barely any sauce. Maybe it was just because it was a slice but next time I'll just go next door to 7/11 where it's more affordable and cooked all the way through. And tbh tastes better. I really like Joe's pizza. Best in Southlake. However, they don't seem to take full COVID precautions. The manager was not wearing a mask while workers in back were. He was dealing with customers so would have expected him to. Also I tried to pay for the pick up delivery at time of order and they asked I pay when I came in which did not make it a touch less experience. Bland sauce, burnt garlic knots and a piece of plastic bag in a weak lasagna. No point calling to complain since their customer service is as bad as their quality control. Not sure who my Grandparents and I spoke with last night when placing a call in order but he was so hateful. They are in their 80's and can barely hear so I was standing there while they placed the order and I could hear the guy through the phone being so rude. To top it off, our $50 order was crap. Burned, dry chicken, stromboli all cheese, hardly any meat. Sadly, they order from Joe's once a week and should be treated with more respect. If you don't like your job, find something else to do. Nothing fancy but reliably good Italian at a good price. DIne in or take out. Pizza by the slice with thin crust and decent coverage of ingredients or order a whole pizza. Strombolis and other limited Italian pasta dishes. Very good and generous house tossed salad with dressing from scratch. Good marinara but a bit too soupy. I ordered chicken piccata with linguini and there was no linguini w the chicken. And I ordered extra meatballs and they were missing. I complained and the young lady behind the counter told me "you ordered it wrong". So I pushed back and the 2 cooks came out and said "give us 5 minutes to fix this". We love this place for a Friday night cheat meal/pizza night. It's a tad on the greasy side but in a good way plus the sauce is really good. They also have a bomb chicken Parmesan sub. It's huge to me but my husband always eats the whole thing. I don't think they offer delivery but they're pretty quick to turn around take out orders and this place is always busy on the weekends. Joe's pizza is one of the, if not the best pizza in Southlake. The people are friendly and best of all the pizza is fantastic and reasonably priced. Eating a slice here and looking around the restaurant makes you feel like you are in NY, NY. The pizza itself is thin crust NY style that expertly manages the yin and yang of mozzarella cheese with a homemade pizza sauce that combines into a delightful pizza harmony in your mouth and belly. I also suggest the garlic knots, because well they are delicious and go well with your meal as a nice appetizer. The house salad is pretty good here too. I recommend that you go with the house dressing since it just rocks. I highly suggest you come on by here with the family or by yourself and try out some of this delicious pizza. read more

Been to Joe's several times when we visit family in Southlake. We ordered $100.00 worth of pizza this past week for delivery and were very disappointed. The deep dish pizza was not good at all and was missing the anchovies we ordered. Pizza was like cardboard. The rest of the the 3 pizzas were traditional style but really lacked flavor. Crust was a little too thick. Not sure what happened to their food but we may think twice before ordering from there again.
