I have passed by here so many times and after eating here I am so disappointed I never stopped in sooner! We stopped in and were greeted and found a table right away. The server was kind and friendly and was outstanding throughout our entire meal. The service here would not be out of place in a luxury restaurant. After looking at the menu we decided on the Bee Sting NY Pizza and a Classic Burger with Fries. The pizza crust was quite good and the toppings really complimented each other. The burger was the star of the show! The patties were cooked perfectly with crispy edges and the overall flavor was outstanding. The fries were also top notch. So far it's not been great, upon entering the restaurant I was blankly stared at by the cashier & had to initiate the conversation, then when asked if we'd like to dine in vs to-go I asked what the wait time was, "20 minutes" I didn't feel like waiting that long to eat so I asked for To-go. About 24 minutes went by & I asked the cashier, "is it too late to sit down & eat here?" since there was a table open & no one else waiting on dine in I didn't think it would be much harm. He replied "yeah you got that" I went and sat down & about a minute in the waitress approached us and asked if we checked in. I tried to explain the situation and she cuts me off "it doesn't work that way, you need to pickup your food and leave" then walks off to attend the other tables before I can explain. I try to get her attention again for a few more minutes & she's avoiding me walking around the section where I'm sitting. Then she asks someone if there's "anyone who needs seats" and grabs 2 menus & approaches the table again, this time I explain the whole situation & she gives a half assed apology & tells me she has "2 people who need this table now." I relent & go back to wait by the door. After another 6 minutes of waiting our food gets brought to the dining room by another server & she has to go find us by the front door. Now I'm eating in my car, the fries are delicious & perfectly crispy with a soft fluffy inside. The pepperoni pizza is delicious with some nice small slices of pepperoni so they aren't split between bites. & the burger tastes pretty good, the patty is well toasted & the brioche bun is a nice touch. The food is fantastic which is a bummer because I don't think I'll be frequenting this location if service continues to be like this. However I believe it can be improved with just more communication & a united front & listening to someone when they're talking & not walking off mid conversation. I will not try & pretend like I am not at fault here because I did complicate things when I tried to dine in after ordering to-go, but there are better ways to deal with these things. Gotta warn ya, if you try showing up later in the day on a Saturday, just give a call and reserve a spot or order for pick up, or else you'll be waiting for a seat for quite a bit. And it's worth it in my opinion. Their Texas style pizza (which I never heard of before) was pretty great. The margherita and honey pep were great. Their burgers were pretty good too. If I were writing this review the day I came here, I probably would have given it two stars because I was so frustrated. Today I'm feeling a bit more generous, so I'll give it three. The good news is that the burger is absolutely delicious. The pizza, on the other hand, is just okay. Most of my issues were with the service. I do know the servers name but will not mention it. We visited around 2 pm on a Wednesday, and the small dining room had a couple of tables that needed to be cleared. They stayed that way for quite a while. It also took some time for the only server working to come over and give us menus. Most of the time we were there - she was in the kitchen talking shit in the kitchen. When she returned, we ordered the lunch special of two slices. She asked if we wanted drinks, and we said we already had water. What she did not mention is that the lunch special comes with a drink, and of course we would have enjoyed a soda if we had known. The burger came out first and we planned to split it - I asked for a knife, that never came after about 5 mins, I saw them over by the register and grabbed one, about 3 mins after that she brought a knife over (and she had SEEN ME go get the knife, so this was totally passive aggressive) . It was a fantastic smash burger on a classic roll with onions and a slightly spicy sauce. It comes with chips, and you can upgrade to fries for $3, but we didn't. My husband's pizza slices took much longer. We had finished the burger and were still waiting another 15 minutes for the two slices. I finally asked about them, and the server said they were coming soon because they had to make a fresh pie for our order. As a former New Yorker who knows her slices, I can tell you they were NOT from a fresh pie. You can tell by the way the cheese is set on top of the pie, it is much looser if the pie is fresh/ It was frustrating to wait that long and then be given an excuse that didn't feel honest. A simple, "Sorry, I missed that, I'm on it," would have been better. The pizza was fine overall, and I did appreciate that they use real sausage crumbles and fresh mushrooms. That burger really was excellent, so I might come back for that alone, but the service had me boiling, and I'm usually a pretty mellow and forgiving person when it comes to restaurants. read more

Came to Sauce'd on a Wednesday around 12:45 pm. It was VERY busy, which is exciting to see! Love to see local businesses THRIVING! The person at the front greeted us right away and asked us how many we had. There were 5 of us, so we always expect to wait. They went over to a table that could seat 5, but only had 2, and asked them if they minded moving to a different table; they did, and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was full and compact, so there was definitely some noise, but it wasn't so bad that you couldn't have a conversation. The bathrooms were very well kept and clean. It looked like they only had one person waiting tables, but there were several people running food out, so it wasnt too bad. She was able to get to us fairly quickly, and it allowed us to look through the menu and get our order sorted so that by the time she came to us, we were able to order our food. Wanted to try their pizza and their burgers, so we ordered a Honey Pep, a Margherita, and a Jalapeno Burger. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! Like SO good! The lattice on the burger was great, it was seasoned really well, the jalapenos had some good spice to it, and I really liked the Dad's sauce that was on it as well. The pizza, SUPER crispy, not too much cheese, which is great, awesome flavor as well. The service was fantastic, the food was EXCELLENT, and the restaurant was great! Especially for a lunchtime rush. I have been seeing this place on social media for quite some time and was so excited to finally swing in and grab a Smashburger. There is definitely limited seating inside so be prepared for a small wait, especially if you're with a large group. The restaurant is very casual and has a large variety of menu and burgers to choose from. I went with the classic smash burger and although it was tasty, I could not get past how greasy it was and how it was dripping grease and that they were charging three extra dollars for fries on top of a $14 burger just seems a little absurd because they know everybody will charge to fries instead of taking a bag of lays. I usually like crust and left their tx crust on the plate. Was waiting on water refill for most of the meal. But I will say the waitress was very friendly. Just wasn't very engaged with our table. Today, for Father's Day, my Family took me to Sauce'd for what I just knew would be the best and pizza I've ever had. I must honestly say, it wasn't. I can only image that IF the burgers had not been burnt, they would have been excellent but unfortunately I can't. The pizza was good but it was very greasy. There was a slight wait to place my order as the sole waitress and cashier was busy assisting other customers. Once I had placed my order, the waitress returned with my drink, napkins, and packets of Parmesan cheese and red peppers. I pass this place all the time when I'm in Grapevine but never tried it out until now. Since it was around dinnertime, it was pretty crowded, and it does feel a little claustrophobic inside, but the staff quickly cleaned some tables so that we could be seated. I really liked their music selection; all of it was from the early 2000s to 2010s. The decor is a vibe with a lot of metal posters from old movies and football paraphernalia. The food took a while to come out, but I would say it was worth the wait. I ordered a Margherita pizza, and my partner ordered one of their smash burgers called 'The OG'. The pizza wasn't too greasy, and it tasted great. I'm very picky with how a lot of pizza places make Margheritas, and this hit the spot! My partner ate his whole burger and fries that came with it, and he said it was delicious. Altogether the price was reasonable considering how big the pizza was (14"). Stopped here after picking up family from the airport. We all left very happy and impressed. The food was fantastic. We tired the bacon jam burger, fried jalapeño burger, OG burger, fries, and pepperoni pizza. All of us loved everything we ate, but the fried jalapeño burger was the standout for my brother and me. It was so flavorful, had the perfect crispy edges, and the right amount of kick. I hope to get back for another one ASAP. The fries were also great, and we were all impressed with how crispy and delicious they were. Pizza was definitely above average pizza, and I'd happily eat it again when I go back.
