The Texan Pizza was really good. We got a large and it was plenty for 3 people. The meatballs as an appetizer were saucy and very flavorful. Drinks were good Service was a bit slow. There were only 2 servers for the entire restaurant. Our meatballs were brought to the table and we waited about 5 min for napkins and forks. Towards the end of the evening there was a VERY STRONG ODOR of urine. It was unbearable. Also they allow smoking outside and it comes inside thru the window. Trivia by Mind if I ask you something trivia was amazing and John is awesome. Would come again for trivia maybe-but the smell and service was not great. I first ate here when they opened a few years back and i wasn't that impressed, but now, i have to change my opinion. They have gotten better and i can say i'm impressed. We just visited Benjamine's Pizza for the first time, we were really pleased with the food and enjoyed dinner. We started with an appetizer of the fried mozzarella. These seemed to be a step up from the standard deep fried mozzarella stick. We then go side salads, this was an amazing salad and a generous portion for a side salad. I was very pleased with the freshness of the salad and the blue cheese dressing was great. For our pizza we got the Italian Sausage and Pepper pizza which was great. The sausage was delicious and cooked perfectly on the pizza, with a good kick of spice to it. The crust was very good as well. We really enjoy the pizza a lot. I felt sorry for the young lady trying to run the front of the house. She was working very hard, but she was the only person working the whole dining room and bar. She did a great job working through the room and managing the multiple priorities, but that had to be a hard job. If you have not visited Benjamine's pizza give it a try for sure and see what you think. It looks like they are set up to offer music and to host sporting event watches as well. read more

Thuy and I were walking in the area, and checking out the skate park, which is not in Yelp, yet. The word pizza, on a nearby sign, caught my eye, and anytime Thuy agrees on Pizza (or Mexican), I take full advantage of the opportunity. But once we started looking over the menu, Thuy caught sight of the eggplant Parmesan... Or was it parmigiana? Can't check on-line menu... See below. I did not feel like ordering a pizza for myself and having leftovers the next day (though that is my true test for a great pizza... leftovers). So I went for the sausage and cheese calzone. I asked about the sausage prior to ordering and was told it was the link style (not the "rabbit pellets", which I refuse to eat). Very tasty... But... Oh my gosh this thing was HUGE! I took half of it home. I wouldn't say it stood up to the "pizza test", but it was still good. Thuy's pasta was a bit past "al dente." Maybe Benjamin's, like so many other places "par cook" their pasta? It wasn't too far past, but Thuy is particular about her pasta. Two other observations: Generous pour on the $4 glass of house red. I have no idea why this place has 3.5 stars, today me and my BF ordered carry out and everything was extremely fresh and delicious. As recently moved New Jersey East Coast natives we know good Italian food and honestly this is up to par with any place we've been to in that area. The pizza was fresh, crispy, and had a strong undercarriage and had the perfect amount of grease on top. The kids Alfredo was Al dente and flavorful, the Greek salad was extremely fresh and the house vinaigrette was like crack (I ended up dipping my crust in there even) and the chocolate cake was light, moist, and airy with the perfect amount of chocolate taste that isn't extremely overwhelming. 10/10 making this a weekly treat and can't wait to try in person as well! I can only describe the experience here as blah. I guess it is because to my wife and I the pizza just lacked flavor. We had a regular pizza with sausage, onion, black olives and roasted red pepper added. Each of the toppings had good flavor, but the pizza itself had none. The sauce was so skimpy that it could not be tasted at all, and the cheese just had mouth feel but no flavor of its own. Crust was nice and all was cooked well. Also had a Caesar salad with bland Caesar dressing, but generous size salad, good croutons and good cheese. The place was pretty empty at dinner time and quite honestly, felt a bit "sticky and dingy" when it came to table surfaces. I know pizza restaurants often have that feel, but this was above average. Server was attentive and pizza came out in a good amount of time. Did not try any of the pastas or non-pizza main courses, so can't comment on those. I wish that the hideous interior design, the unwelcoming ambiance, and the poor menu selection could make up for the fact that the General Manager is extremely disrespectful towards his customers. Not only was I in there earlier today to pick up an Uber Eats order for ONE pizza, I was also belittled and disrespected for absolutely nothing. I walked inside the business, informed the "GM" that I was there to pick up an Uber order for Shelly, and he asked me "what is it?". I replied: "an Uber eats order for Shelly". He said "no, what's on the order?" Me, confused why the general manager doesn't know what items are on an Uber order they received, told him, "I'm not sure...". He aggressively said "how do you not know what's on the order?" And so I looked at the order and said all Shelly had was a large pizza... not sure what else is on it. He then said, "there you go!!" with an attitude. He then made me wait over 10 minutes for one pizza. I left and canceled the order because of how I was treated. How dare him behave that way to anyone. How dare him speak to people that way, even when "stressed out" (which is the excuse his floor manager gave myself and Uber support). Why is a General Manager in that position if they cannot handle stress? You just lost several customers, and we won't be the last. Keep up this behavior and more will soon stop coming to this poorly-lit, depressing pizza joint. Visited Benjamins on a Saturday. It was not busy at all, maybe about 10 people total. The restaurant has an open layout, outdoor patio seating, with 6 tvs in the bar (3 tvs facing the patio and 3 tvs facing in). The staff was courteous, and friendly. We tried a small pizza w/ various toppings. I must say that the pizza was good but not great. The pizza sauce seemed a bit bland, but the toppings were fresh. I also got to meet Lucious ( I believe the owner). He was a very friendly, and brought us a chocolate cake on the house. The cake was delicious. I would definitely visit this spot for its customer service, the ambiance, and the food. Ordered carry out recently. 1 medium pizza 2 toppings and a tiramisu. The pizza was made extremely sloppy. It seemed as though hamburger topping was just tossed in the middle no effort to spread it out. The sauce also was not spread out. We got the tiramisu for dessert. For 6.95 the piece of tiramisu is extremely small. I think since this place opened up the quality has gone down. Not worth $24 for a medium 2 topping pie and a piece of tiramisu. read more

We came out here to meet friends who were in town for business. Completely agree with another reviewer about the chicken parmigiana. It was thin, tough as leather and had more breading than chicken. I couldn't eat the spaghetti for a good while because it was so hot it burned my tongue. The sauce was watery as well. The salad did not look appetizing to me - too many onions & bell peppers. The salad dressing looked icky. When I told the waitress I did not like the look of the salad and won't eat it, she misunderstood me and said, "I'll put it in a to-go box for you!" And how is it that there was no drink menu offered?? I had the absolute WORST margarita ever. It came without the salt on the rim, so had to send it back before tasting it. It tasted like watered down lemonade - I don't know if there was any tequila in it. It was SO BAD. The only saving grace for them was that my husband thought the pizza was okay. She saw the napkins and laughed about it. We both literally said at the same time, "Roller skating rink pizza" & "water park pizza". We were here in January 2023 and it was not like this at all. The last time I had a good BBQ pizza was when I was in New York. I've been chasing that taste and high for the past 11 years. And I think I have FINALLY found it. Funnily enough, the pizza I'm referring to at Benjamin's is their Texan Pizza. It has barbacoa, sweet BBQ sauce, red onions, and crispy onion strings. Delicious. We placed our order online, grabbed some boba tea next door, then picked up our pizza to-go and devoured it when we got home. My fiancé is tiny but she managed to eat 4 of these huge slices in one sitting. I'm ashamed to say how many slices I ate. Believe me when I say there is actually bad pizza out there. But Benjamin's is on the opposite side of the spectrum. The pizza is SO good. The slices are huge NY style slices that you have to fold to eat properly (unless you're an absolute savage). The price is very much worth it. I've had nothing but franchise pizza for the past 2 years. Options for anything better were limited when I lived in El Paso. But now that I'm in the DFW area I've gotten a chance to try several local places. And THIS place is by far the best I've had. I have no idea why the rating is so low. HNNNNNGH is the onomatopoeia you're looking for, and you're not alone. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu and bring my family and friends to their bar. Clean bathrooms too, btw. We have been to Benjamin twice and both times it was a pretty good experience in terms of food l, ambiance and service. First of all the service is 5 star in terms of overall experience from greeting to taking our orders and ensuing our dining experience met our expectations. Even the cooks gave us a shout out as we left asking if we liked the food. Nice touch! We ordered a medium size pizza, the Mediterranean. It had goat cheese, artichokes, sun dried tomatoes and chicken. We asked to have it cooked toasty. The flavors were yummy but I would have liked it cooked even longer. Also, the Medium is huge, it's a Large in my opinion. We dined at about 8:00 in the evening and it was packed with kids, parents, young adults and couples. They have a nice little bar area where I saw a few folks working on their laptops. They offer free WIfi so that's nice. Give Benjamins a try; experience and taste for yourself. read more

I wish I could give this place a five star because the workers here are SUPER nice!!!! I believe one of the owners basically served us. We had a waiter who was nice but slow. The food here: we ordered a large supreme pizza. Half and half dish of lasagna and Alfredo. The Alfredo was a bit bland. Lasagna had some dry areas on the noodle that was inedible. So I had to cut off a big piece of the lasagna that I couldn't chew through. Other than that- flavor was good. The pizza dough was undercooked. I could use some more pizza sauce on it. If you are ordering pizza it's ok-ish. The staff is unhelpful, not super friendly and strangely enjoy bashing each other and their food!! The cleanliness in the dinning and bathrooms is not great. I usually do not review ambiance too much because I don't really care about restaurant ambiance however when the cleanliness is sub par I feel I should mention it. Went on a weekday at 1:00 was an empty dining room with half the tables dirty and all of them sticky. The bathroom was not clean and even after washing my hands I still broke out the hand sanitizer and used it at the table and on the table. The food is not great the subs are awful the wings are so sprinkled/soaked, with whichever seasoning it's overpowering and unpleasant especially the lemon pepper. The tea was soured like it had been sitting since the day before. The pizza is plain and not well baked. Considering they have a nice pizza oven I'd thought it would be gold and brown crust but it was just white and limp. Nobody seems to know where you can get extra cutlery so I got up and got it myself from the to go table. Unless I was coming here for drinks and trivia nights which is fun!!
